As a follow up to the previous bot mode video, Hasbro has released a new video for HasLab Unicron featuring planet mode on Pulse. John Warden is back again taking a close look at the finer points of the roughly beach ball sized planet and its 30" spread across the ring which also happen to be all of the same features listed on the site.
Planet Mode
Convert and bring forth the terrifying planet mode of Unicron, a stunning 30” in diameter.
His iconic planet-eating jaws are geared to open so the vicious Planet Eater can devour unassuming worlds.
The Chaos Bringer's imposing presence is amplified by his massive posable planetary rings.
To support the substantial weight of the approximate 19-pound villainous planet, Unicron requires a custom stand.
Do not be fooled. The premium detail and deco are, indeed, inspired by classic 1986 movie, but it is not, in fact, The Lord of Chaos himself.
No real surprises in the video, but it is fairly awe inspiring seeing a person standing next to the massive planet and knowing that could potentially be in your home in 2021! I'm still trying to wrap my head around those finger-thick rings!
Below you'll find all of the HasLab Unicron videos posted on Hasbro Pulse thus far and a selection of screen grabs from the latest video. There's still just slightly over 12 days remaining to the crowdfund with numbers sitting at 2,747 backers at the time of writing. There's still plenty of time for backers to join and the numbers likely do not reflect international and third party orders yet.

Thanks to postings to the Takara Tomy Twitter via the Takara Tomy Mall we have some new images of the promo art for the first wave of Cyberverse toys hitting Japan! The show and the toyline are just debuting so we're rather ahead of the game elsewhere in the world, but the character art appears to be brand new and injects a lot of kinetic energy into the characters.
Any fans of the animation style of the cartoon and toy packaging will surely enjoy what they've done here. We've included the translated Twitter summary for each character which lists their respective voice actors in the Japanese dub.

In a rare case of "this never happens" we're treated to a first look at a figure that nobody knew existed until it showed up at retail. Thanks to Darryl Wall (@DWallsEpicHauls) for giving us our very first look (not even at Toy Fair!) at Rescue Bots Academy Flip Racers Whirl after finding it at retail in Nova Scotia and posting it to Twitter. It isn't a figure that will interest most Transformers fans, but it's nice to know that in 2019, with all the events and leaks and retailer assortment lists, there's still the occasional surprise.

Thanks to Seibertronian 00Stargrave00, we have word of a new interview with Peter Cullen and Frank Welker for the 35th and of Transformers! The interview can be found here, at AP news or the image below; you can read the whole article there. They talk about how much the role meant to them, especially Peter Cullen towards the end; an ideal heartfelt moment!
“It can bring tears to your eyes,” Cullen said. “I’m not exaggerating.”
Cullen said parents and children bond over Transformers at the conventions, with the parents sometimes getting more excited than the children. And he doubted this week would be different.
“I expect that I will run into a father with his son, and the father will more than likely get choked up,” Cullen said. “And then I get choked up, and then the kid is saying ‘What are these two grown men getting choked up about?’”
Frank Welker and Peter Cullen will be at MegaCon Orlando 2019, for Thursday and Friday, as stated in the article, most likely to their fun shenanigans on stage!
Fellow Seibertronian Sabrblade has made us aware of a translation for the manga that came packed with Legends LG-EX Blue Big Convoy. This is done by the same team behind the newly released Beast Wars Neo fansubs which can be found on youtube now.

In anticipation of their long-awaited release of Beast Wars Neo in subtitled form (see here), Karyuudo Fansubs posted last night a full English translation of the Legends LG-EX pack-in manga that came with Blue Big Convoy.
This manga story serves as a bridging story that connects the end of Beast Wars Returns (Beast Machines) to both Beast Wars Second and Beast Wars Neo, with Page 1 taking place before Beast Wars Second and Page 2 leading into Beast Wars Neo.
While this story was posted in this thread previously with an English summary, this here is a full-blown English translation that makes things all the more easy to understand.

File this one under "things you didn't know you wanted until it existed." Autobase Aichi's blog posted new stock photos of upcoming Rescue Bots Academy figures coming to the Rescan class and it would be hard to ignore the dino-mode Grimlock that turns into a motorcycle! He was shown at Toy Fair 2019, but at the time we didn't really know what we were looking at. Yes, it's silly, but that's what makes it fun! As you would expect from Rescue Bots it's a simple figure and may not satisfy most collectors, but it does have an effective transformation. And I love that goofy grin, what a happy bike!
There's also a new Whirl race car figure in the same class alongside Brushfire, Heatwave, Bumblebee, and Chase. Plus there's new stock images of the Academy Rescue Team box set shown at Toy Fair. In accordance with the Bumblebee movie, the official @Bumblebee_JP Twitter account is releasing a new chibi style anime series! They are 3 episodes in, each at around one minute and a half, and essentially retell the Bumblebee film.
Part 1 focuses on Bumblebee losing his memory, after Blitzwing attacks him, thus making him hide as a Volkswagen. Charlie finds him, and brings him to her home, which results in Bumblebee being scared of the dog, Conan. The tweet can be found here.
Part 2 starts off with Charlie wondering where Bumblebee hailed from, and they soon practice hiding, though Bumblebee doesn't seem to be good at it, destroying things. He accidently activates Optimus' holographic message, confusing the both of them. The tweet can be found here.
Part 3, Bumblebee learns how to cook! To no one's surprise, he absolutely fails, irritating Conan, destroying the inside of the house, and leaving the door open for Conan to run after. Charlie comes home, and chases after the dog, but they are aprehended by soldiers. Bumblebee comes and fights the men, and leaps away with Charlie and Conan. The tweet can be found here.

The concept artwork shown here includes some looks at Grimlock's dino mode, which compared to previous series has taken on a little bit of a pointier look, but still comes with some great dino mode expressions!
Next up, we get some nice and cute little organics, starring an adorable little pupper dog, the billy goat Bumblebee befriended and played headbutt with, and a little human boy, the only human to appear so far in the series.
Returning to our bots, we get some line art for Hot Rod, some facial expressions for Maccadam and Deadlock, and a look at the multitude of Seeker skin options the show has given to us.
