We have an update on those rumoured new toy packaging designs from - potentially - the new Cyberverse animated series that will run after Robots in Disguise is over, from our regular Weibo source tf-factory! The update is in fact a shot of the same packaging stile card, but featuring Grimlock, detracting a little from the 'model kit' idea that had been floating about since the last reveal. Remember the writers' room over at Paramount, where various names gathered to produce the future of the Transformers Universe, and The Last Knight specifically? And remember how it was headed by Akiva Goldsman? Well, it looks like the latter is no longer the case, according to SlashFilm.
When Paramount and Hasbro began laying the groundwork for a potential Transformers Cinematic Universe, they hired Oscar-winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman to lead a writers room to expand the world. The first movie that resulted from that writers room was this summer’s Transformers: The Last Knight, with a Bumblebee standalone movie next in line.
Things got less certain in the lead-up to The Last Knight’s release, with both director Michael Bay and star Mark Wahlberg suggesting they were done with Transformers movies. Now, /Film has learned that Goldsman is done, too. Goldsman spoke with us at the Television Critics Association, where he was representing Star Trek: Discovery.
Asked if he was still involved with Transformers, Goldsman simply said, “No.”
A slightly longer, but not that much, response was given by producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, via Franchise Fred News (full story here):
“The writers room which was set up by all of us was set up to explore the mythology more,” Di Bonaventura explained. “It was set up for a few different reasons but the biggest thing that happened in it was they expanded the mythology of Transformers in a way that allowed us to go to King Arthur. There’s different areas, like we’ve examined World War II, etc.”
As for the state of the proposed Transformers extended universe, Di Bonaventura is focused on Bumblebee.

Two new job listings have appeared over at Boulder Media, the Irish animation studio working on a number of Hasbro Universe properties, including Rescue Bots Academy and Micronauts. One is a 2D Concept Designer specifically for their Transformers project, as seen here.
The other, a 3D CG Supervisor position, tells us something a lot meatier about what is currently happening with Hasbro, as it reveals that a whole new feature animation division is being set up, also under Hasbro Entertainment banners. Our next story comes from the Youtuber Rektangular, courtesy of news staffer Mindmaster, who was doing an update on upcoming Marvel Legends figures in the Wal-Greens computer system, and ran across an exclusive Wreck-Gar listing! We're unsure if this will be included in the final days of Titan's Return, or, more likely, somewhere in the upcoming Power of the Primes line! As always, this is a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt, but it does look quite convincing.

According to online magazine Deadline, there is news for the Transformers Universe: Bumblebee movie set for 2018 in terms of casting: Pamela Adlon has been eyed for the role of Hailee Steinfeld's character's mother. Nothing has been confirmed as yet, but you can read more below!
Pamela Adlon, fresh off a Best Comedy Series Actress Emmy nomination for her FX series Better Things, is in negotiations to join the cast of Bumblebee, Paramount’s first spinoff of its Transformers franchise. Kubo and the Two Strings helmer Travis Knight is directing the pic, which is being toplined by Hailee Steinfeld.
Adlon will play Steinfeld’s mother in the movie scripted by Christina Hodson. The story is mostly under wraps, but it originated from Michael Bay and Paramount’s writers room project. Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, Bay and Steven Spielberg are producing with Hasbro’s Brian Goldner and Stephen Davis.
Maybe there are some more Titan Returns reveal in store for us before SDCC 2017 ends, but not from Hasbro. Instead we have another leaked image from 淘宝店变形金刚改造工厂 on Weibo. This one depicts Ultra Magnus as a Titan Master, which works with the reveals on the Trypticon cereal box that have an Ultra Magnus Titan Master listed. It is also worth noting that this Titan Master is noted as being part of the Intelligence box set, a set that might not be coming out anymore if the rumours from SDCC turn out to be true. Like the previously leaked Arcee (whose Titan Master Leinad is also on the Trypticon cereal box), the artwork is more dynamic than usual. As of right now we are unsure if this is of a now cancelled product or a product that will be coming out in a different fashion. Below is the image followed by a quote from fellow Seibertronian Kurona giving her theories using all the info we have gathered so far.

These are from one of the cancelled-maybe-not-cancelled boxsets. That would explain the lone Titan Master, the mold re-usage, the different borders that are inconsistent with the rest of the cards -- AND the fact Hasbro kept tip-toeing around Headmaster Arcee whenever she was brought up, and hinting more towards POTP than TR. It's looking like these boxsets might be cancelled and these are just the remnants that are showing up now, scattered across the murky catacombs of the internet. Shame too, I really would have liked Arcee.
Fellow Seibertronian ebo716 rightly points out to some Transformers: Titans Return news that appeared on the Trypticon Titan Master Crunch poster image, seen at San Diego Comic Con 2017. The image reveals the names of all the Titan Masters in the line - including some we have yet to see show up: Autobots Fengul, Professor go, Parsec, Leinad (oh hey DANIEL), Dynamus, and Decepticon Fathom. Boulder Media Studio has confirmed to be working on two new Transformers shows. The first is titled Rescue Bots Academy while the second has not had it's name released yet. Perhaps the show that has yet to be named will be a replacement or sequel to Robots in Disguise.
Boulder Media is working on several projects for a lineup of new media. The article goes on to mention a lot of different titles that seem to be getting new content. If you are a fan of the following series, be on the lookout!
The Studio, whose current slate includes animation for 'Transformers', 'Little Pet Shop' and 'Rescue Bots Academy' and 'Micronauts' for Hasbro Studios, as well as 'Danger Mouse' and 'Dorothy and the Wonders of Oz' (Warner Brothers), is ramping up to deliver innovative animation and storytelling across multiple formats and genres.
It is also hinted in a different article written by D.C. Douglas that Chase may show up in Rescue Bots Academy. This article goes on to tell us that the casting is being done outside of LA and that they are non-union cast from NY, including Optimus Prime’s voice.

Via fellow Seibertronian SnoopDawg, we have some potential casting choices for the Paramount Bumblebee prequel, already starring Hailee Steinfeld and Jorge Lendenborg Jr, as featured in The Hollywood Reporter. This looks to be an extremely young cast indeed, and with Spielberg reportedly involved in the production again, it looks like Paramount is shifting its efforts on a more targeted audience. Paramount's Transformers spinoff Bumblebee is quickly rounding out its cast, adding a handful of young actors including Jason Drucker, Abby Quinn, Rachel Crow, Ricardo Hoyos and Gracie Dzienny, who are in various stages of negotiations.

The film will clearly feature a slew of young rising stars: Drucker was most recently seen in Fox’s reboot Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. He’s repped by Coast to Coast and Industry Entertainment.
Hoyos starred on Degrassi: Next Class and also was seen in The Belko Experiment. He’s repped by Industry Entertainment.
Quinn starred opposite Jenny Slate in Gillian Robespierre's Landline, which played at Sundance and hits theaters on July 21. She also stars opposite Joey King in Radium Girls. She’s repped by CAA and Rebecca Kitt & Associates.
Crow has appeared on the TV shows BrainSurge, Big Time Rush and Figure It Out and voiced Carla in the animated film Rio 2. She’s repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment.
Dzienny’s credits include TV series Zoo and Chasing Life. She’s repped by Innovative Artists and Inphenate.

“There are less Transformers, dramatically less… We hired, purposely, Travis Knight who’s a very distinct filmmaker. You can’t compete with Michael [Bay], you’re going to lose. Also, the audience wants something different all the time, let’s keep them interested. So they’re going to get a very emotional, complex story. A very tight story, in terms of its location, in terms of its storytelling. In fact it reminds me a little bit of The Iron Giant when I did that movie at Warner Brothers. It just reminds me a little bit of that, where that it feels contained, but it doesn’t feel small.”
