Not content with the photographs that he took of this behemoth, fellow Seibertron user, LeAwesome1 has been at it again with a camera and has produced these fantastic shots!

The first two show comparisons with Combiner Wars Titan Class Devastator and a much smaller version of himself in the Revenge of the Fallen Legends Class Devastator. Then we see comparisons with Titans Return Titan Class Trypticon and Combiner Wars Bruticus. Thats not all though, we get a comparison with Jet Power Optimus Prime! To end this buffet of images we get a better look at Studio Series Devastator from different angles.

LeAwesome1 also took more photos of Overload himself to share, including one with the only other toy version of Overload to date, the Legends figure from the Revenge of the Fallen Legends Devastator set. We also have pictures of Overload with Studio Series Deluxe Class Jazz, one of the smallest deluxes in the line.

Wonder how long it'll take for a third party upgrade that includes them.

Every time I see pictures of Devastator I get more and more excited. I can not wait to find Scrapper and to have my Overload pre-orders fulfilled. I will be having mine mistransformed to get him on all fours and will have scrapmetal in a more movie accurate hand. Thank you for these beautiful pictures!

Right? And SS is supposed to be screen accurate. But if we got them they would have come with Hightower, wouldn't they?

Whilst I wish he was able to go on all fours, and Scavenger really needs a bit more white, the fact we have a decently accurate, fully transformable/combining, roughly to scale and nicely made set of ROTF Constructicons released at retail is amazing. I'm also actually glad he's not completely gargantuan, he's about as big as I'd want him. I really hope I can get my mitts on this set at some point, they look like fun.

Needs his wrecking balls though. :michaelbay:

I'm actually warming up to this figure now. I swore off the Constructicons because I didn't like how Devy looked on screen but the toy is not bad. I might have to wsit until the previously mentioned box set comes out, if it's a reality, because my TF budget is shot for the summer, until Scorponok gets in anyway.

Hopefully there will be a set of either legends or deluxe class Twins released to go with this big guy.

Is it possible to just have a scrapper for each arm? The left arm looks meh especially the visible head. Def picking up longhaul as he was cool in rotf game.

It is. The arms use the same type of connector, but the legs don't.

Not sure if everyone has seen this configuration or not, but here is a more accurate way to have the scrapmetal hand. I do not know how strong it is since I don't have scrapper or overload yet. I just wanted to share what I plan to do with mine.

That actually sounds like a legitimate good idea for a Pre-War Constructicon origin, reminds me of the Animated versions to an extent.

If their good at building stuff I could imagine them being good at preparing "fuel" and what not since ya know...machines and such.

Maybe it’s the smile, maybe it’s the multiple arms, or maybe it’s the spider eyes, but I can totally picture Overload doing the spider click thing like admiral Trench in the Clone Wars

I was thinking, to have an actual good scaled Devastator, should have it been enough to size up all the classes?
Like, all the deluxes turned into voyager class, the voyagers into leader class and the leaders into commander.

That might have worked better for them but I don't think two commander class figures would have helped sales :( kind of hard to imagine a person driving cogman or most other studio series figures would have to squish into a meat cube to drive most of the ss constructions as is. Devy probably looks great next to old legion/legends.

They could have been made exclusives, I'm sure those of you who actually wanted to collect all of the Constructicons to make Devy wouldn't have minded. But you might have minded the price increase on all the figures, though...

Exclusives should be kept to a minimum, they can be a real nightmare for international collectors.

Anyone who has Overload and can complete the combiner can tell me one thing?
One of the major complaints was that the grinder doesn't tab on Mixmaster's barrel, and it's supported only by the smokestacks.
I noticed, thought, a couple of guides in the Mixmaster's black section near the shoulders, right below the barrel, and a couple of tabs in the side parts of it.
Is thre any chance that the grinder could be locked in those tabs and guides?

Thanks to Autobase Aichi on Twitter, we're being treated to some new images of upcoming Studio Series figures, those of SS-64 Deluxe Class Cliffjumper and SS-65 Voyager Class Blitzwing, both from the Bumblebee Movie! They link to Snakas Blog, which is where the images originate from. We get a couple of views each of both characters' boxes, showing that true to form, Cliffjumper is a smaller-sized Deluxe, about the size of Studio Series Bumblebee toys.

Image

Image

Blitzwing is a decent sized Voyager, though his head in the package seems as if it's the same color as his main body. It's possible these are packaging test shots, and not entirely finished products, as Blitzwing has been shown to have a darker colored head at his reveal, and in all renders we've seen. Time will tell.

These figures should be in the next wave of figures to hit, though with the current wave not reaching saturation just yet, it will likely be near the end of summer before they're seen at retail.

So what do you think of these latest images? Excited to pick these two up? Lsst us know your thoughts below, and enjoy the day of summer for the Northern hemisphere!

Unfortunate, or genius? It is most likely 5mm meaning you can weaponize (or armorize) his crotch.
