Pre-order now at:

The new mission begins as BUMBLEBEE must step up to be leader in the years after we left the AUTOBOTS in TRANSFORMERS PRIME. Summoned by OPTIMUS PRIME to save Earth from a new DECEPTICON threat, BUMBLEBEE puts his light-hearted mettle to the test after assembling a rouge team of AUTOBOTS action heroes. BUMBLEBEE must balance his job fighting off evil with being equal parts squad leader and coach to a rascally team that needs constant coaxing to learn how to work together. The results are comical when the cool rebel SIDESWIPE, elite guard cadet STRONGARM, bombastic dinobot GRIMLOCK and overly-excited mini-con FIXIT must balance keeping the team together with chasing and capturing their new enemies in each adventure-filled episode.

TRANSFORMERS ROBOTS IN DISGUISE features the voice talent of Will Friedle (Boy Meets World), Darren Criss (Glee), Constance Zimmer (Entourage), Khary Payton (Teen Titans Go!), Mitchell Whitfield (TMNT) and Peter Cullen who voices OPTIMUS PRIME when he makes cameo appearances in this series.

Well, what other TF cartoon could be referring to? ;)

Prime's over, RID's on CN, there's only one other TF cartoon that's currently airing on Discovery Family and is going to get a fourth season in the near future.

Perhaps he's confused not by "what" the other series is, but your opinion of it as "much better". I'm not here to argue opinions, spent way to much of my time doing that in the early days of the internet. But still, I know there are a percentage of fans that don't even consider Rescue Bots to be a true Transformers show, relegating it to something akin to those "Go-Bots" videos that accompanied the pre-school age toys from 2003-2004-ish let alone "better" than a current main stream Transformers show. Truth be told - If I did not have kids, I would not have watched a single episode of Rescue Bots, so I don't discount those who have the same line of thought. Admittedly however, after watching several episodes with my son, I do understand its appeal to children as it is very well written for them.

Admittedly when I first heard that TF: Prime was getting cancelled I was extremely upset (still am a little), but then I decided to take a step back and look at the example, of all things - Batman - I have pretty much every animated incarnation from the 1960's Filmation to 2013's Beware the Batman, and all the animated movies in between. Sure the more adult oriented ones appeal to me as an adult fan, but the series has to occasionally shift back to younger audiences to regain its core demographic (and sell toys of course), this is why shows like RB & (hopefully) RiD 2015 fare so well. Still its good to know adult fans are not being totally ignored, we will have our Combiner Wars, and if done right, it could be amazing.

Well, I get we all want a fourth season of Animated, what I'm asking is where is your assumption founded?? Why do you think we're getting a continuation of what is, IMHO, the best TF show since Beast Wars? Because, as far as I know, we've not heard anything to found these rumors.

Animated's dead, dude. That show's over, finished.

It doesn't even air on Discovery Family.

Robots in disguise needs to be DISCONTINUED! SHOw is awful! Bumblebee being a leader just not and never will be right.OPtimus looks like a clown in this series i mean you sacrificed yourself in transformers prime to creatr animal like deceptichops? And creating a geisha autobot and more weaker autobots? Common writers of this show must think twice or even 50times, one decepticom per episode? thats just a waste! Put bumble bee aside hes like a tulip put ultramagnus and original autobots in the show and optimus should be just the leader and stop the idea of having beastlike bot or con its really annoying.

I thought Bee being a leader was interesting, especially since it was a small group and not the autobots as a whole. He really showed maturity and yet still maintained a kid-appeal to him. The character development was impressive.
Optimus' look actually looks cool. It's almost his Beast hunters body, just tweaked for the animation and I thought he looked better in this than in most other cartoons.
The idea of 1 decepticon per show was cool, and that eventually some formed up as a team provided a good nemesis. The animal look is different, but it created some very good designs. Not all were winners, but there were some fine looking cons.
I also like that the other bots aren't there yet. They will make appearances in season 2 occasionally, and I like new characters. That's what was fun: Brand new autobots not seen in some time or not at all, brand new cons not seen in a long time or not at all. And the animation allows for more to be created since they are less complex. Thunderhoof needs to be a recurring character now, he was pretty awesome.
I believe it is the same team creating this show as Prime (and if I'm wrong Saber will correct me). And they make it work well. i like it as a sequel. enough callbacks to make it a sequel but enough new material to make it new and refreshing.
of course this is my opinion and you are perfectly entitled to yours, but I personally liked it.

And by the way, as I see you are new, Welcome Friend! :D :BOT:

Mirage9, *deep breath*

mirage19 wrote:SHOw is awful! Bumblebee being a leader just not and never will be right.

This series was about testing the waters, with the target audience of kids, of a non-Optimus helmed series, because I think Hasbro realized that Optimus was becoming a bit of an old hat. Did I like 'Bee as a leader? Not really, he questioned himself even more then Rodimus did in season 3 of G1.

mirage19 wrote:OPtimus looks like a clown in this series i mean you sacrificed yourself in transformers prime to creatr animal like deceptichops?

*pinches brow* It can be assumed that all the Decepticons we meet are from the war, in other words, pre-Prime Finale... Younger Cybertronians who aren't war-hardened (not that this is exactly a grim show) like Sideswipe and Strongarm are presumably from the latest generation of Cybertronians.

mirage19 wrote:And creating a geisha autobot and more weaker autobots?

*sigh* She's not modeled directly off a geisha, but modeled off the Japanese style of theater known as Kabuki, which, yes, has geisha's in it, but the direct basis is not a geisha (I find it hilarious you can spell geisha correctly but not create.)

And they made the Autobots weaker to generate drama, and if you look at any series post G1, where the stats were fairly even, the Autobots generally don't have the upper-hand in strength, it's called rooting for the underdogs.

mirage19 wrote:Common writers of this show must think twice or even 50times, one decepticom per episode?

Sentence doesn't make sense. They're trying to emulate Power Rangers and it's somewhat successful Monster-Of-The-Week with a stereotypical personality based on its look. Case in point: Octopunch, is a salvager octopus, talks like a salty seadog.

mirage19 wrote:Put bumble bee aside hes like a tulip put ultramagnus and original autobots in the show and optimus should be just the leader and stop the idea of having beastlike bot or con its really annoying.

Never heard somebody be called a tulip in an insult-like capacity. Oh, and it's too late to change anything.

While Bee did question himself a lot, you can see why. He had young renegades as his team, and he himself didn't feel up to the task. But he did grow in his work as the season progressed, and honestly he makes a pretty good commander to me.

I also liked that we did get so many decepticons. Sure they haven't been realized as toys yet, but there were some incredible characters created, and something new is always welcome :BOT:

Optimus questioned himself in his youth too. Younger leaders don't know everything since they're too inexperienced. Optimus was no exception either.

I am on the fence about this show. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. It is something of a mixed bag for me. I've been watching it slowly as it isn't something that has drawn me to the point I have to see the next episode. Maybe it's because each episode seems disconnected from each other, like you could watch them in any order and it would be fine.

However I love the look of the characters and think the figures are amazing. I want more Con toys, cause like I said I think the designs are amazing. The animal Decepticons to me are kind of a cool contrast to the traditional villains we get in Transformer shows.

As the show continues, more and more callbacks to previous episodes are made in later episodes to the point that several episodes must be watched in their proper chronological order in order to fully grasp the bigger story of the season.

It might be best to watch it at a steady pace, like one or two episodes per day, instead of trying to marathon it all at once.

Hasbro Studios seems to have it tough with the first seasons of their TF cartoons, with Prime season 1 lacking in enough of a clear vision or direction being an obvious example. Of the three TF cartoons that HS has done so far, Rescue Bots turned out to be the one with the strongest first season, having the most focus of the three shows' first seasons.

D-Maximus_Prime, Yes I`m talking about issue 3. Megatron gave Steeljaw a special mission to stop the Autobots. Which means that Hasbro has confirmed that Megatron will be confirmed for season 2. Because of how he`s portrayed in the comic, it looks like that he will change back to his original self. :CON:

Granted, I haven't seen the comic yet (just read issue 2), but that sounds exactly like what Megatronus told Steeljaw in the TV series season 1. Can you provide screenshots? Did "Megatron" look like he did at the end of Predacons Rising?

I have not seen issue 3. Haven't seen anything for this months comics. Megatronus was in the TV series, not Megatron. 2 very different characters. And I'm pretty sure the comics are based on the series but not directly involved. The other autobots have not shown up and while it is possible they will show up in season 2, I really don't think a comic Megatron appearance could be considered evidence of the TV show having him appear. :BOT:

This is a deception. Steeljaw is claiming to be on a mission for Megatron to recruit the vehicons. it does not state that he is on a mission for Megs: He claims to be

Huge difference. Megs is not coming back here, at least not yet, and hopefully he won't unless we find out what he's been doing since Prime. :BOT:

Is anyone really surprised that he took it literally? 8-|

D-Maximus_Prime, based on the comics, are you saying that Steeljaw is lying? Well, okay. Even if Megatron didn't show up for season 2, Hasbro already did confirmed that Megatron will appear in season 2. That's what we do already know. What we don't know is that which side will he be on this time.

Yes I am saying Steeljaw is lying. The DESCRIPTION says he is deceiving the vehicons. So yes.

And please provide a source for this confirmation of Megatron being in season 2. I cannot find anything related to that subject :BOT:

D-Maxmius_Prime, Steeljaw's crew and the vehicons are enemies? What's going on here? They're all Decepticons to begin with. No doubt about that. But why Steeljaw made enemies with the Vehicons? Is this really because that Steeljaw's crew are animals and that the Vehicons are humans? In this series, Transformers who are humans are portrayed as good guys whereas those who are animal are portrayed as bad guys.

And as for Megatron himself, I couldn't find the official source that matches this description. But I will tell you this, a user who owns a Transformers-based site on Facebook, recently told other users that he spoke with Hasbro and that Hasbro that Megatron is indeed in the series although we don't know which side will he be on. :CON:

Steeljaw has to lie to the Vehicons to get them to work for him because they are loyal only to Megatron, not Steeljaw. By falsely claiming to be working for Megatron, Steeljaw can coerce the Vehicons to do what Steeljaw wants. That's all.

And as for the "Megatron in season 2" thing, there is no way Hasbro would ever say something like that, and "some guy on Facebook" is not a credible source.

You know, this actually caused me to do some research. Back in the 80's as kids, we used to tell all sorts of stories about supposed toys we had seen, or TV episodes, that never really happened (some were just lies, others were the result of mistaken memory). I thought with information being as prevalent as it is, that "Friend of a Friend" stories would have become a thing of the past, but evidently, they thrive now more than ever on social media. :???:

Sabrblade, is this means that Steeljaw is the head of the Decepticons? If Megatron isn't his boss, then who is? :CON:

psj333 -have you watched season 1? -Steeljaw was acting on his own, until the appearance of Megatronus, which he only served begrudgingly.

If you watched the show as you claim to have, then you would already know the answer to this question.

My head hurts. #-o

Moving on: season 1 just ended, so lets get a break and maybe some new toy news before we think about season 2. That'll be like 8-10 months from now anyway. :BOT:

We all know that season 2 will be aired in the beginning of next year. For a long time now, I have been thinking very hard at what type of vehicle mode would Pseudo have. So far, this is exactly what he looks like in robot mode:

http://orig09.deviantart.net/f41d/f/201 ... midshs.jpg

By studying really hard on his robot mode, what's I find it very interesting is that the word pseudo is probably derived from a very similar word, moto. Because Decepticons in this series do possess animal-based robot modes and vehicle modes, I just came to the realization that based on the origin of that name, it looks this might be translation of Pseudo official altmode, which might look like this, based on his namesake (pseudo from moto):

http://truemotosite.net/wp-content/uplo ... i-moto.jpg

Is this how his altmode supposed to look if he were to appear in season 2?

In case you didn't know, a fanart site called deviantart.net actually showed a picture of what Makeshift was supposed to look like if Hasbro didn't blacken his body, and he looked like this:
http://pre04.deviantart.net/bf22/th/pre ... 6v5whp.jpg

Judging by the looks of him, he seems to have a bodybuild quite similar to Megatron. Therefore, if he were to have his own alt-mode, then it would be a Cybertronian jet, although he would have looked slightly different from Megatron.

Would you agree on that? Comments? :CON:

I really hope Season 2 expands the personalities of the Decepticons more. Perhaps sneak in some character development as well.

As for Megatronus, I'm not sure about him being the new Decepticon leader. I rather have Steeljaw become the leader. He brings true fear to his fellow Decepticon troops, and he's quite a fighter and a skillful individual in improvising.

Megatronus used the cons for his own ambitions. he's gone and now Steeljaw is ready to resume command (which he never really lost, he and his team just got owned).
