Kanrabat once said you never know what you'll find at Winners (TJ Maxx in Canada) and he was right. A routine visit yielded some very interesting and odd sightings such as leftover Age of Extinction toys. The most notable is a Leader Optimus Prime at only 19.99$ cdn (16.12$ US). The walmart exclusive one step Stinger was also found which is as random as you can get, especially since this was never found in stores in Quebec, Canada (where these sightings are from), and had to be ordered online. The inclusion of Stinger leads to the conclusion that this is probably overstock from Walmart. For any fan who would only buy these at a discount or who had been curious about these toys, this may be your shot. Be sure to report what your local Winners may have in the sightings thread.

Age of Extinction Toys massively discounted at Winners (TJ Maxx in Canada)

Thread title is incorrect. Winners in Canada is still called Winners. There's one across the street where I live!

Winners is TJ Maxx in the USA, not Canada.

It depends how you read the title. In Canada, we dont have TJ Maxx, we have Winners. So the store Winners is what the TJ Maxx store is called in Canada. It was made so that american readers who are not accustomed to the name Winners know what is being referenced.

Big batch of Bluestreaks on the shelf at Toys R Us in Barrie, Ontario.

Image

Hasbro distribution of toys has me all like :HEADHURTS: . I also saw CW Leader Thundercracker, but the rest of the shelves are warmed by old AoE stuff, a handful of RiD deluxes and CW Wave 1 Deluxes and Legends. Heck, we haven't even seen CW Blackjack at our TRU or EITHER of our two Walmarts. :BOOM:

Just wanna finish my Menasor, and I ain't paying for shipping on a $12 figure. :-x

My Wal-Marts are regularly stocking CW Wave 2 Deluxes, Voyagers, and Legends (though BlackJack is tough to find) while I have yet to see a Leader on their shelves since Jetfire.

Meanwhile my TRU's can't get past Wave 1 Deluxe/Voyager/Legends..... buuut has all the Leaders (TC started showing last week). Edmonton is messed :???:

I didn't say they were shelf warmers, just said they were warming a shelf.

As in warming the bench.

Still, an odd phrase to use in this context seeing as how changing the syntax means something totally different in this fandom.

Sorry for annoying you Downshift.

Maybe you could help me with this. I found these constuct bots at winners today and I have never seen them before. Are they new or super old. And if they are old, from when are they?

Still ZERO sign of Wave 2 or 3 CW voyagers, Wave 2 or 3 CW legends, and NOT ONE leader figure ever at this store. :BANG_HEAD:

Megatronus, are you gonna double dip and get the takara one too? I only want to get either one but the current price of the takara one (the one I would rather have) is just too much for me due to its extra exclusivity factor. SO I might settle for Hasbro's.

I'm actually breaking the bank. Because I'm a moron, and I think I can compensate for my grand plan with some eBay sales.

I'm getting 2 sets of the Hasbro versions to open - one to display in combined mode, another to display in robot mode teams - and then the Takara versions for MISB (except I'm getting 2 Defensors so I can enjoy deluxe Groove). I'm a sucker for box sets, and Takara more often than not really nails the packaging.

Sigh. #-o

Well to be fair, Takara's packaging for Superion is amazing and the window packaging with flap makes it one of the better items to display in MISB

I 100% agree - Superion's packaging looks amazing, and the window is a huge plus. I just need to work out how to fund some of this stuff.

I'm excited for it all, though. :D

Thanks Downshift, I found some too in the quebec area, I will post some pics when I get home later.

For now, here is a slight discount (not enough to consider this a great deal) on some TRU exclusives. What is interesting is that this is not widespread, it just affects the insecticons and YOTG optimus:

Hmm, clearance priced on the website already? I wonder if that means the stores will be doing that eventually? Still to rich for my blood though. As much as I want YOTG G2 Optimus, $167 after my TRU discount is still a bit too much for me, if it ever gets clearance marked in store (no discount on online orders), and I already have the Insecticon reissues from years ago, but I'll let my collector coworkers know about this if they don't already

I meant a widesrpead discount among the line. Like those weeks where everything above a certain amount is 10% off. It's not widespread in that regard, I should have been more clear. That means it might not only be for this week.

TRU Employee to the rescue! Usually a price ending in .98 means it's clearance priced, so it could be a lengthy, if not permanent thing.

So to clarify, those prices may not be for a sale, but rather in-store price cuts because they can't seem to get rid of them. Just ask all those shelfwarmer YOTH Starscreams my store can't seem to get rid of XD

I do work today, so I will check it out and report back after my shift :-B

I still find it odd that Motormaster and Blackjack were taken down so abruptly from the TRU website, and I haven't really had the chance to check out anywhere else, and I'll be darned if I'm gonna pay $20+ from eBay or the comic store :/

Motormaster was there today in the store. I have a funny pic to post later of a certain toy I found in abundance (or rather a certain version of a toy).

But its not just Blackjack, its that whole wave 2 legends wave (huffer as well) that I never found.

Also, thanks for the insider knowledge. Although 20$ off is not that much of a clearance sale.

Hmm, hope it is rib-tickling funny, though the Motormaster I bought the other week has been the only one I've seen so far out here. Still plenty of Optimus Primes and Megatrons though!

Yeah you're right there, I haven't seen either of them in my neck of the woods, though I thought I'd seen some posts in this thread about people finding Huffer, though I may be mistaken :/

It's all baby steps really. If they still can't sell, they might cut the price even more at a later date, but that's wishful thinking

EDIT 2: Back with a sitrep, and yeah the Platinum Insecticons and YOTG G2 Optimus Prime are clearance marked. The yellow clearance flags are out for them

Well, Found the Protectobots at a local Walmart, but ugh they price gouge compared to Toys R Us. $19.92 for a deluxe at Walmart, compared to $17.99 at TRU, and they wouldn't price match since TRU doesn't have them in their systems yet. Still, picked up Rook for a last limb for Galvatronus, and First Aid for the lady since she loves medic bots

Considering how long it takes us to get new stuff(at least at my store) I could have been waiting until the end of the summer at the earliest for the Protectobots to come in, since it took us almost a month to get Motormaster after the rest of the Stunticons first came out, and even then it took a while for them. Plus if I wanted to at another store, I'd have hoops to jump through to get my discount

Has anyone else spotted MP Bluestreak yet? I found him at my work earlier, but forgot to snap a pic of him

EDIT: Snapped a pic of him, but no idea if anyone else in the Great White North has posted anything yet

Not first time in Canada for the wave 3 RID Deluxe. They have been reported a few pages back.

It sucks that there are so many that still don't have CW Wave 3 or even wave 2. Wave 3 and under aren't moving off the pegs around here. Which sucks. When you like a line you want to see it moving but with zero commercial advertising that makes it hard to reach kids.

They are FINALLY in Quebec, Laval store.
However, that 90$ pricetag spoil the fun.

That's what kills me about the MP's and Platinum/Chinese New Year figs. The prices, even on clearance
