As far as we know, everything that has already been officially revealed about the POTP line is all that we're getting from it.Madeus Prime wrote:Forgive me but I've not been keeping up with the rumors for POTP, but I'm guessing there hasn't been any rumors of Onyx Prime getting an individual release, has there?

I really have to wonder why they were in such a rush to get "War for Cybertron" going. Did Hasbro literally get bored with "Prime Wars?" I think they left a lot of money on the table not letting "Power of the Primes" go on for another few waves before declaring another "reboot." Imagine a wave 4 with four new figures instead of just one. If the line went on for 6 waves like "Titans Return" did, we might have gotten enough bot limbs that people were clamoring for to fill out Megascream, Elita Inf1nite, and Firestormer. The rest of the Alpha Trion Female Autobots, Sideswipe, Thundercracker and Skywarp: these would have been slam dunks! Maybe for the latter waves, change things up a bit by returning to the Headmaster gimmick and give us the missing Autobot Targetmaster trio as well as Apeface and Snapdragon Voyagers instead of more random "torsos." Finish it off with Leader Star Saber and the rest of the 1987 Minibots for the Legends class, not to mention pretender shells for the rest of the Prime Masters, and people would have been over the moon for the wrap up of this trilogy.

mordhelm wrote:A LOT went wrong for Hasbro (and Transformers) in the last year. TRU going under tanked sales significantly. And TLK was a failure compared to the preceding movies. My guess is the TLK toyline also suffered. And I hear the comics aren't doing fantastic, revenue-wise (though I bet better than most comics these days).
mordhelm wrote:Unfortunately these things happen when corporations do something drastic to "right the ship".
To the bean counters, what characters sell? The original Autobots and some of the Decepticons.
This is really just the fallout of a tough year for Transformers.
mordhelm wrote:I am with you though, quite disappointed about several missing characters from G1. However, I think they are coming. Warden seems interesting in completing the G1 line. So I think Pretender Monsters, Seacons, Horrorcons, Targetmasters, are all coming. Heck, they may special release the remaining Pretender shells at some point too.

Great! Be sure to send us a tip like that next time you have one.
