The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

The stories are not official canon, except where noted. These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love. No one has been paid for the production of these stories.

That does explain why Bayverse Prime is such a douche. I just thought it was because the writers didn't understand the character.

It's Lord Strax- I mean... "Darkmount"!! Frankly, I'd love to see the guy appear in motion media somewhere. He DID just get a Generations figure, so who knows?

I'd get him voiced by Patric Zimmerman in the Revolver Ocelot voice.

Oh, right, because he impersonated Megatron for 3 years in the British comics...so well he even fooled himself.

Could this point to a deleted scene where Op blows his own head off?

Maybe Straxus was worthy?

I mean, it did 'choose' Thunderwing, a Decepticon, and Hot Rod, who got Optimus Prime killed.

And as someone already pointed out, Straxus is so good at concealing his identity, even he falls for it! For all he knows, he's really Punch, disguised as Counterpunch, disguised as Punch, disguised as Straxus, disguised as Optimus Prime.

It's funny, but the part of this comic I thought stretched believability was Straxus defeating Optimus Prime. It does tie in well to the bio for SDCC Nemesis Prime though.
