Normal.
That previous side of the aisles have already been served with CW Menasor. 3 times if you count Hasbro retail, Hasbro G2 gift set, and Takara's Unite Warriors. That Legacy Menasor is completely different from the previous ones so the ones who hated the CW can get the Legacy and those who don't like the Legacy can keep their CW.
Everybody win!... Appart our wallet, of course.
I wouldn't say everyone wins. I don't think many people liked CW Menasor at all, including those that prefer the Scramble City style. CW Menasor was just bad. Legacy was an opportunity to improve on it, and that's what a lot of us were hoping for. A lot of CW was solid, and I can't agree that just scrapping the entire concept was the right way to go.
To be fair, CW was really great, and really flawed. Too often the ratchet joints in the torso's hips were way too loose as well as the combiner posts on the deluxes. Then too many deluxes had a tendency to have their legs split appart in combined mode.
TlDr; the main problem with CW was STABILITY issues. So it's no wonder that the design team went back to the drawing board.
Not surprising, the most SOLID CW combiner was Devastator, who used none of the CW functions.
