I saw it as well. While I wouldn't say HOLY BALLS, it was pretty damn good. To anyone on the fence about it, I definitely recommend it.

Saw it tonight. Was really, really happy. Amazing story, and it had WAY more of Andrew and TOby, and the Spider-Man teamup than I thought they would.

For those going to see it, there is one mid-credit scene related to an upcoming Spider-man plot line and one post credit "scene"- in quotes because it is essentially a trailer for Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness...and it reveals one dimension-punching character that we had no idea was coming!
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Mid credit scene makes it possible for the MCU to have it's own version of Venom and not tamper with the Sony spiderverse version.

Most that follow these movies knew that America Chavez was coming to the MCU and the monster is either Shuma-Gorath or Gargantos.

I have 3 questions to those who've seen it:

How did Doc Ock initially know that Osborn is the Green Goblin? It was never made public in Sony's movies.

Why was Electro even in the movie? The spell was supposed to pull anyone who knew Peter was Spidey into this universe, but Electro never knew Spidey's identity in their movies.

Why did none of the 3 Peters' Spidey senses go off right before Osborn stabbed his version of Peter? They were all right there.

Just because it wasn't made public doesn't mean those in certain circles didn't find out.

I never saw the second amazing spider man movie because all I heard from friends was it was crap. Maybe he found out at some point and Webb never addressed it?

Even in the comics his spider sense doesn't go off for everything, it's an on the fly move from Osborn?

I didn't write the movie, try to email them and find out maybe?

It doesn't go off all the time in the comics, if that was the case he would be invincible and no one could beat him ever.

Loved the movie. Had a ton of fun. Did not think I was going to like it more than End Game , but damn it really is that good. Can't wait for MoM.

Everyone in my theater gasped when the other Spider-Men showed up. And clapped when Tobey showed off his costume under the youth pastor outfit.

Spoilerrifc answers:

1. It would seem Otto did find out between the events of Spider-Man 1 and 2 in some way. Somebody must have told this version of Otto or he figured out that Osborn was the Green Goblin.

Spider-Tom was too angry to pay attention to his Peter tingle, even if it did go off. Spider-Tobey was holding the glider so he was not able to react to it. Spider-Andrew totally should have seen it coming since he was standing right there. That is an actual plot hole. You could say it did not go off for Andrew because he wasn't the one in danger specifically. Or maybe because he was looking at it but just did not react in time

Electro is a weird one. Its implied by Spider-Andrew and even Dr. Connors that this is not the same electro as the one from Amazing Spider-Man 2 since he has hair, not a comb over, and an entirely different costume. Electro supposedly died in Amazing Spider-Man 2 and yes never found out there. So either he did not die, and he's from further in the future of the Amazing Spider-Man Universe where he eventually grows his hair and gets a new costume and finds out Peter is Spider-Man or he's from a different universe that also has Andrew as Spider-Man and where he did not die and knows Peter is Spider-Man.

Electro in that movie was entirely blue. Had a combover in human form but was entirely bald as Electro.

for what its worth, Andrew Garfield was the best thing in those 2 movies. He's Spider-Man is exactly what I would have expected of Spider-Man as a 20 something rather than a high school kid.

Also also, this was basically a Sinister 5 move. Al we needed was a Mysterio. Jake might have been too expensive to revive him for another outing.

Alright, I guess with Doc Ock and the Goblin we can just assume then? I would have preferred in-story confirmation.

As for Electro, he did say on screen that he didn't know Spiderman's identity so even if he survived in his universe, he never knew. But like you said, this might have been a different Electro, considering his different appearance. But I thought they addressed this as well? I might have to go see it again in a couple of weeks...

And am I the only one who found Ned kinda annoying this time around?

Technically Sinister Six when you take into account the mid-credits scene.

He clearly states that he went into full energy form in and out of the internet gaining power then as he was about to reveal himself he showed up in the MCU. Also at first he was blue when Spidey saw him hovering above the power lines

  What the hell. A while back the mods made a rule where we had to use spoiler tags for the 1st 2 weekends of a new movie we talked about, so everyone had the chance to see it without it inadvertently being ruined for them.

Well he wasn't actually part of the movie, and he's technically not a bad guy...

Also, Sony finally made a Spider-Man movie with a lot of bad guys that was not terrible.

Now if only we can get a good Eddie Venom with a correct Black Suit development It would be great. The Sony Venom movie is o.k, but not what I wanted out of Venom.
Need to watch Let there be Carnage still. Waiting for it to show up on steaming somewhere that I'm subscribed to.

Watched No Way Home, and it truly was fantastic. Wow did I enjoy that, that is the most I have enjoyed a movie in theatres since Endgame came out.

1 major note I want to address that made me very happy: I have and always have enjoyed Garfield's Spider Man, and am still very sad his trilogy was never complete. It made me very happy when he caught MJ and in a way helped spiritually redeem himself for his failure to save Gwen. To me, he shone in the movie, and it reminded me how much I did love him and also how good a Spider Man he actually was

An unpopular opinion, but one I agree with for sure. Tobey Maguire's was also good in its own way...in the first movie, anyways, then it kind of got old (see Honest Trailers). I actually had happy tears for AG in that scene, but was also a little sad for those who didn't understand the reference.

Agreed. AG's Spider-Man was the best part of the Movies. His Peter Parker, was too cool and not nerdy enough.

Where as TM's Parker was much better as a nerdy school student, but not as good as Spider-Man. Not enough jokes during fights.

TH gets a good middle ground between the other 2.

And yeah, loved the redemption for AG. That was awesome.

I'd still love to see a third AG Amazing Spider-Man movie in his own universe with his own villains now.

I would too, and maybe now that Disney/Marvel and Sony are playing nice, Sony might realize that it would be a winner, assuming Garfield wants to do it and they come up with at least 1 credible villain. I would love to see an honest effort put into the Hobgoblin, and only him.

Seeing No Way Home inspired me to go back and watch the 1st trilogy this week, and I must admit I'm a detractor when it comes to Maguire playing Spidey. I don't like him as either Peter or Spider-Man. Maybe that's just because I don't think he's a very good actor. I also didn't think Kirsten Dunst was a good MJ. Better than Zendaya, but still not really MJ.

Motto: "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings to randomly click things in the Admin Panel to see what it breaks."
So anyway ... Hawkeye happened. Probably not a must see series as it just really serves to introduce Kate Bishop and Maya Lopez (plus the Tracksuit Mafia) and to also bring the Netflix shows further into the MCU.

Good series, only 6 episodes, but worth it for the simple fact it draws inspiration from Matt Fractions Hawkeye run (which was a bloody brilliant run)
