Thanks to fellow Seibertron user, PrimevPrime, we have an English video review of Transformers Studio Series Deluxe Class KSI Sentry! Sentry is a blue redeco and a slight retool of Stinger who was released back as part of the first wave of Studio Series Deluxes.

Those who are looking for this guy should keep an eye on store shelves over the next couple of weeks as he'll be in the same wave as Bumblebee movie antagonist Dropkick.

Will you be picking KSI Sentry up? Will you be troop building him so that Stinger can lead an army of his own? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews.

Won't be troop building but I will almost certainly get one cos I love the Stinger mold and that shade of blue and that new head sculpt and I want his blue(s) brother (of sorts) here to go with him for a nice red/blue combo. I guess like Shatter and (car) Dropkick are. :O Heck, Stinger and Sentry could be my movie-verse Runabout and Runamuck I suppose.

And yes I wanna see more of that DotM Megatron. The detail looks promising and I do love the lil Igor bonus figure.

I intend to. I'll have 5 or 6 to have them loom over Lockdown.

Thanks once more to Planet Iacon's Facebook page, we have a nice collage of images from Loopaza Mega Store showcasing the Takara Tomy release numbers for the upcoming Studio Series figures.

The collage shows us SS-19 through SS-33, with the one figure in the list not yet revealed being the rumored 3rd Optimus Prime. We have no information regarding this mystery Optimus Prime yet, whether he might be a The Last Knight voyager re-release, yet another version of the first Trilogy Prime, or something else entirely (maybe a Bumblebee movie Optimus?). But once we have information we will be sure to share it with you.

Of important note here is that Megatron is on the Takara release schedule, and his reveal in his Dark of the Moon body has been a major talking point of the past several weeks.

Here are the images and the full list of figures coming out. Check them out, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

SS-19 WWII Bumblebee
SS-20 Sideswipe
SS-21 Barricade
SS-22 Crankcase
SS-23 Clunker Bumblebee
SS-24 Bonecrusher
SS-25 Optimus Prime
SS-26 Jetfire
SS-27 Megatron
SS-28 Dropkic
SS-29 Shatter
SS-30 Mystery Optimus Prime
SS-31 Cogman
SS-32 Scrapmetal
SS-33 Rampage

What Optimus is left? DotM with a weapons trailer? Another stab at AOE Optimus, it'll have been nearly two years by the time these come out since we've had an AOE/TLK style Optimus?

One thing's for sure about that Optimus silhouette: It's Movie the Best MB-01 Optimus Prime stock photography, so it's likely just a placeholder.

I know this is sorta off-topic but that comment was offensive. I am transgender and really get upset when "tranny" is thrown around like this! I am sorry to go off like this but I am getting sick of it as I see stuff like this all the time on toy forums.

On topic: I haven't gotten any of these but I am seriously considering WW II BB, Shatter, Cogman, and the Shadow Raider!

I have that one, missing it's guns. But I just don't care for the deco at all. The original silver with red just looks way better to me. I regretted selling that one years ago. Never mind. The new one is far more scale correct with the other Studio figures.

I'm fairly certain he was using it as the normally accepted nickname for "transmission", as in a car's transmission.

Its referred to as a tranny in most car circles. The piece under the car being armor for the car's transmission.

Back on topic, Megs looks excellent. Sideswipe is very appealing. And another Movie Prime I want to buy. At this rate my movie Prime collection will be as large as my regular Prime collection.

As Overcracker indicated, I'm certain he was using tranny as short for transmission, especially because a minesweeper or tranny armor would be located under the front of the vehicle right below the engine and transmission. Both would be in the general area where the chest plate ends up in vehicle mode.

I may be a bit late to the party on this, but something just clicked. I think Shadow Raider may be orange as a tongue in cheek reference to the War Planets "Shadow Raiders" cartoon that mainframe produced back in the day. One of the main characters bears a striking resemblance colour-scheme-wise.

Had to look that up as I'd never heard of it. Is Graveheart the character you mean? His armour and helmet are black and orange (though it sometimes looks gold or yellow in other pics). If it is indeed a reference then it's very obscure one. :O

Yeah, Graveheart was who I was remembering. It's not exact but a reference to a cartoon made by the Beast Wars animators makes more sense to me than "orange is a Lambo production colour." :P

It could also be a reference to that orange being a stock paintjob for the Lamborghini Aventador.

For UK folk who may be interested Kapow has the 'Then and Now' pack apparently in stock for £39.97 of VW Bee and TLK Camaro Bee. Both have some slight paint differences to their individual releases. I don't feel a need for this set myself (as I already own the TLK figure and have the VW in both yellow and gold versions) though I would quite like the display card for the TLK figure to go with the figure I already have. :P

VW Bee £21.97

Dropkick £22.99

KSI Sentry £22.99

Studio series devastator... I AM READY :michaelbay:

Seriously, it looks like such a beast, I can't wait, as for everyone's concerns with mixmaster, remember, devastator's face actually split into several plates to allow for his vacuum attack, so parts forming a face into the shells of the mixer shouldn't be a problem

Thanks to Seibertronian Cprime18 and yours truly, we have word that the Studio Series Wave 4 Voyager Revenge of the Fallen Starscream has made its way to US retail! This Starscream is a redeco of the Wave 1 Voyager, done up in his Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon paintjob that includes a massive amount of Cybertronian tattoos. He also comes with a brand new saw blade accessory that replaces his missile launcher accessory. The saw blade is translucent orange and is very nice in hand.

These figures were found in a Walmart in San Antonio, Texas and a Target in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Of note here is that the Starscream found in Target was on sale for $27.99 instead of the standard $29.99, as were all the voyager class figures in that store.

Check out the images below, and let us know what you think of these figures in the comments section below!

I don't know, but I really like it. it adds some nice color.

I took some of my other SS guys and movie Megs out to finally take some group shots. Sorry the Megs picture is kinda crappy, it looked far better on my phone even looking at it in the gallery:

I still prefer the first SS Screamer release. That deco is gorgeous and the paint has a lovely stain finish. Either way it's a great mold and representation of the character. Also my first Movie Starscream.

Agreed, I prefer the MV1 version, but you really can't go wrong either way. It does bug me a little bit that ROTF Screamer's missing the tattoos on his one leg, though.

Also, what's everyone's thoughts on SS Brawl? I was initially more interested in ROTF Megatron for wave 2, but with DOTM Megatron coming I don't think I need the ROTF version.

I think he's fine. I preffer the leader as a toy but this one works really well. Nice scale and I always encourage new molds.

So far, Hasbro was the only company to release extra exclusives as part of the Studio Series line, which is why the numbering got derailed. They released Thundercracker and a slew of exclusive Bumblebee toys, while Takara simply released the mainline toys. Well, the have now announced their first exclusive numbered as SS EX. As one might guess, it is a Bumblebee but not one that has been released in the US. Instead it is the Volkswagen deluxe mold done in a rusty deco. The full name is Transformers SS EX 1967 Rusty Bumblebee.

You can see an image below. It is part of the movie campaign for the Bumblebee movie's Japanese release in March. You must buy your tickets in advance at a 7 Eleven as a prerequisite for owning this figure. Another exclusive Bumblebee item linked to advanced tickets purchases is a Bumblebee Kewpie keychain. This is a Japanese doll dressed in a Bumblebee costume which may be of interest to a few members of our community who also collect these types of dolls. You can see a video below.

Going back to the Studio Series toys, we have in package images of the 5th wave of deluxes. This wave has also been labelled as Wave 1 2019 by Hasbro. It includes Clunker Bumblebee, Crankcase, Barricade, Sideswipe and WWII Bumblebee. This wave should be out January 2019 in stores.

On the side, that would make him have a toy in the standard Deluxe, Voyager and Leader Classes, like Optimus Prime, Megatron and Ironhide. How about that?

I wish we could have exclusives like this in the US. A slight nitpick I havr is that I wish there was a little more rust on there but who cares, it's a free figure in Japan. Hasbro might release one on their own anyway, if Clunker Bee is anything to go by. The doll and keychain are cool too.

The figure itself isn't free. The tickets are a requirement, but you still need to pay to get him.

Hasbro have been doing lots of SS exclusives, as the article mentions, while the SS-EX 1969 Rusty Trombone BB is only Takara's first.

I never got the leader, but he is better than the deluxe. The arms are a bit wonky with the tank turret kibble, and I wish you could unpeg his main gun for him to hold instead of sit on his back hanging down, but he's pretty solid

I think he's fine. I preffer the leader as a toy but this one works really well. Nice scale and I always encourage new molds.

I never got the leader, but he is better than the deluxe. The arms are a bit wonky with the tank turret kibble, and I wish you could unpeg his main gun for him to hold instead of sit on his back hanging down, but he's pretty solid

Pretty much this. I would have liked it if his turret could turn in tank mode and if he had ankle rockers, but he's still a very fun toy, and astonishingly movie accurate for a retail Voyager. Also his transformation is pretty intuitive which is nice.

Really liking Shadow Raider. Wasn't gonna get him yet but saw him in Forbidden Planet and my friend who works there gave me 10% off the price so why not? :) He looks great in person. My photo doesn't do him justice.
