Fellow Seibertronians, fellow Seibertronian Optibotimus has released a video review of near-final production samples of the Botcon 2016 box set figures Seaclamp, Ramhorn, and Cicadacon, otherwise known as the Tri-Predacus Council from Beast Wars. They, along with Ravage and Tarantulas will combine to form Tripredacus, but for now, Optibotimus only has the members of the Tri-Predacus Council. Seaclamp is a recolor of Combiner Wars Scattershot, and sports a new head, based on his appearance in the show, as well as the new Tripredacus head, which Optibotimus kindly shows off in the video. Ramhorn is a recolor of the Combiner Wars Technobot Nosecone, complete with the new drill weapon and new, show accurate, head; while Cicadacon is just a recolor of Combiner Wars Skydive, he still looks accurate to his show appearance. Are you excited for this Boxset? Check out the video and leave your comments below.

The combiner's name is Predacus since he is no longer made of just three members.

I would like to be a completest and get all the CW Gestalts, but the proposed $500 price point for those not attending BC makes this pretty much an impossibility :(

I would normally say wait it out because Club stock will likely go on clearance towards the end of the year, but from what I hear, due to last year's Botcon's low sales, figures this year will be much more limited. :(

Absolutely. The 4 individual souvenirs and the 3 pack troop builder are priced at $295 total.

All the fansites misunderstood what Pete said in the podcast in which he listed the souvenirs. He meant that there were four individual souvenirs and a troop builder 3-pack, but all of us (myself included) misinterpreted his words as meaning four souvenirs total, with all of them except the troop builder 3-pack being individual figures.

So I have a theory on who has the non-US head sculpt assuming it isn't the CW deluxe (who I think is likely Tigatron from Ravage homaging the Botcon 2001 toy). I think it may be either A) Some random figure from Go! or B) Slipstream as Maximal Blackarachnia in her TM2 colors. As for the other unknown exclusive I think it may be BWII Galvatron so last years Lio Convoy will have his rival.

Thoughts?

Most believe it to be the Legends Blackarachnia figure redecoed as Arcee as a homage to BotCon 2001 Arcee, as the Legends Blackarachnia headsculpt was a Takara-original head.

While I have come to not mind that suggestion, I'd still kinda prefer something else instead.

You can blame fan input for that. Originally it was Waspinator that was to get axed, but he was so popular (or everyone felt sorry for him, I don't know), that Terrorsaur took the plunge instead.

And guys, didn't it say that the head "has not seen retail"? Meaning it could be a pretooled head, unused by either TakaraTomy or Hasbro? *checks list*

Hmmm... If the non-CW mold and non-retail head are separate, not counting the added "3rd heads plus new parts", these CW Deluxes have yet to use the 2nd built-in head, if any:

- Rook (if we are to believe Out of One, Many... it looks similar to Brawl)
- Brawl (I consider CW Nosecone a "3rd head plus new parts" for now)
- Wheeljack (idem dito for UW Lightspeed)
- First Aid (Ratchet anyone?)

Most guesses I saw people make (that weren't CW Bluestreak, cuz seriously guys?) were Ratchet, so he was pretty much the most expected candidate for the "G1 character w/ an alternative headsculpt".

Though, the head that has not seen Hasbro retail is one of the souvenirs.

Hes a great exclusive, but they've managed to make 3 red limbs leaving you with either of the other colours left for a limb.

Unless they did another red toy I'm missing here as an extra exclusive?

Man this gets my mind going....It would be neat if next year they released the Maximal Elders as Magnaboss. I just wonder what vehicle modes they could choose? (Ironhide-a Prime/Motormaster retool, Silverbolt-any Airealbot limb, Prowl-CW Prowl retool) and who would be the 4th/5th members...I know it wont happen...just fun to think about though.

Prowl, Silverbolt, and Ironhide are already in this comic in their G1/CW bodies.

Yes but the Maximal Elders (Ironhide, Prowl, and Silverbolt) are not the same as their G1 namesakes, so they would be different characters.
