Man, so I've been in a fiscally tight situation as well, and I ended up having to cancel my HasLab order. But this thing (if getting made) is a MUST HAVE for me... so I ended up going with BBTS. I mean, it really really sucks that I'm essentially paying an extra $200 more than I would have normally, but this figure is too worth it to miss out. It really helps that they don't make you pay everything upfront, as well as supposedly still letting you do $4 flat rate shipping. I still don't fulling understand how TFSource does theirs, but I'm believe the shipping on Unicron will be completely free due to its price. I just think that because of how once in a lifetime this figure is, if you can and really want to, you should. I mean, over a full year is a good amount of time to save up, it's practically just $50 a month less on normal Transformer spending (or other stuff of course.)

Impossible Haslabicron dont happen. Too bad I have no choice to miss out, but man, I REALLY want him to succeed. Because he may open the door to even crazier projects and I want to see them happen too.

Its going to happen, just a lot more nicer things out there for the moneys worth.

Get it now, or pay double from a reseller later.

From what I understand, you don't back it, you don't get it. Like if you don't invest you don't get the dividends.

Makes sense, don't have the funds now but was hopeful there would be a chance later on.

I've heard that entire sentiment from more thsn a few people... Hell I have said it myself... Dammit.
Backed.
To be fair though, $50/month only applys to BBTS, The metaphot doesnt work for the lump sum up front

As of this moment, 10:22pm on October 5, 2019, roughly 26 hours before the final deadline, Unicron has made it. Reaching 8,000 backers per the Hasbro Pulse number, this means that we can finally announce to much fanfare and excitement that he will go into production!
Unicron is the first Transformers Haslab project, and he has successfully reached his goal. He will now move into production for a January 2021 release date. He stands 27 inches tall in robot mode, 30 inches in diameter in planet mode, and features a host of extra features such as a ton of articulation, the Autobot shuttle, a mini Galvatron and Hot Rod, interchangeable chins, and more!
If you still want to place your order, head on over to Hasbro Pulse, any of our sponsors, Kapow Toys if you are in the UK, and EB Games or Zing if you are Australia to jump on the wagon and make sure you don't miss out!
Congratulations everyone! We did it!

I'm gonna put the suggestion out there that there will be a HasLab Primus at some point, which will be a retool of this figure.
Posted by Gauntlet101010 on October 5th, 2019 @ 10:28pm CDT
That said, I'm not sure Primus / Cybertron is really the way to go. Cybertron rarely Transforms in the TF universe. Only in Cybertron and the tail end of Lost Light, right? He was just this chamber in the comics.

As of this post an extra 232 Unicrons shall be made.
Wonder how much more the number will climb now that it is over?
Edit: Only a few minutes later and that number is now an extra 262, it's climbing up fast

Sure, but that's not something I'd back...especially as it wouldn't transform. The Nemesis? Same. Let's hold of on any speculation at this point though...we need cake and whiskey to celebrate.
A big non transforming Ark for figures would be amazing to have, it would be fairly empty space on the inside thus the majority of the plastic could just be the outside of it making the overall mass not that much compared to Unicron who is filled inside and out.
So hollow but solid if that makes any sense.

If Hasbro still owns the G.I. Joe brand... a USS Flag that transforms into Broadside would work for me
