1. Filming halted in Washington
2. BB car crash fiasco
3. Extra injured on set
4. Pending lawsuit
5. Cancelation of sequence due to location and budget
6. 3D Footage is "garbage"
7. Megan Fox walked.
I'm at 6, I'm sure I missed something though. Honestly, I think Paramount should have waited till 2011, bieng this summer ALOT of big league films are going to hit, which will no doubt give TF3 more then ample competition. I don't predict the same phenom last year where it Bogart'd the entire summer boxoffice due to a lack of competition. If they waited till 2011, they would have had less competition, and work out all of these impending bugs.
Aw well, I think if they can't edit and cut around whats been shot, they'll need to re-shoot or cut their losses and ditch the 3D being filming with the 3d cameras demands more time and patience...patience not being Bays strong suit. Nor can Paramount afford the time for that matter.

You can draw the conclusions for yourselves.
By the way let's not forget that Michael Bay said that before filming started they made a test if his filming style will look good in 3D and they were very satisfied with the result. Then they decided to go 3D. So I really I don't believe that suddenly the footage turned to be so bad.

It also shows that haste IS waste. The studio demanded the 3rd
film ready for next year and more or less forced Michael Bay
to work with new technology that he was unfamiliar with and
did not want to. Know we can read why.
This is going to cost more time and money. Somehow I doubt that
the studio will have learned anything from this event.
Just my thoughts.

"Wow, I read these morons on the internet who think they are in the know. "We have have problems with our 3D????" Really? Come into my edit room and I will show you beautiful 3D. There has never been a live action show that has pushed the boundaries of 3D like Transformers 3. We shot the entire movie with 3D cameras. I actually loved shooting in 3D. I will give full details of my process and why I liked 3D in the next week right before the Transformers announcement piece comes out on Tron and Narnia.
Michael"
And a second comment:
"And don't watch this movie in 2D, we made it for 3D."
So this is a direct confirmation that TF3 trailer will debut with Tron and Narnia. And also that the whole movie is shot with 3D cameras and looks great.

I just can't stop myself from doing this. Name them.
Bonecrusher's alt mode appeared but didn't do anything. Jolt appeared only in the Climax. Megs was resurrected by using a Constructicon's spark and the piece of the cube. Wheelie seem to have disappeared. Barricade didn't appear.
my point is this movie was only nominated for best sound while razzies piled up despite 2009 biggest earner. they have to make this movie 2011's biggest hit.

Lol.
However, in this instance I do hope they get a handle on it. I've already promised my son we'd go see it in 3D.

(No, not all of us think like a mainstream crowd; in my opinion the film was a waste of time and money and the 3D added nothing to it at all and Cameron should've kept 3D in Universal Studios with Terminator 2: 3D...Now THAT'S a 3D adventure!)
Anyway, why can't they keep consistancy and release as per the first two? At least Michael was sceptical from the beginning; so was I!

This thread hit a nerve with Mickey? Oh thats just awesome, I wonder if somewhere, something randomly exploded....cause thats how the law of cause and effect applies to Michaels person
I would luv to come into your editing room Mickey, for soooo many reasons ha ha. I luv his close to bi-polar attitude concerning 3D, how it went from stealing jobs from americans to the bestest thing ever in cinema, it's pretty awesome just watching him "react" now. Like a bonus movie within a movie.
As for the footage, I guess it's all fine. Even so, I'm sitting in the back row when I see this film in 3D, however now I might just watch it in 2D just to see his reaction to that ha ha ha. Even so, I made the mistake of sitting too close for ROTF, and my eyes paid for it. It was close to Cloverfeild levels of dizziness. I can only imagine what my eyes will do if all those XCU's are in 3D
Only problem I see is for cinemas without digital projectors. Even the most high quality 3D pics can go off with digital projectors, problems get higher with traditional projectors (Shout out to my bud at the theatres) and if there are any sort of problems Mickey can't see on his awesome waaaayyyy too expensive digital monitors and home entertainment system...they will be amplified to ungodly levels once it hits the mainstream media. Hopefully, for his sake I hope he's right, cause thats an aweful lot of work just for it to go apesh!t.

"Michael is so awesome at shooting, the question originally was how the cameras would work because they're cumbersome. Look how long it took Jim Cameron to make one movie. All those things are quite daunting, but Michael figured out how to use the cameras in a day."

Also one of the most important thing about a movie (it's trailer) now have a release date and the news crew didn't even mention it.
I guess this site is mostly for toys and cartoons. Too bad for the small amount of people that rely to get some info for the movies from here.

Dude, new info really should be posted in a new thread to get serious attention. Plus maybe the news moderators haven't noticed your post, it happens. Take a chill pill and stop feeling so defensive.

I don't care if the news crew will notice my post. I don't care if I will be in the credits. The info is all over the web. I just want them to post news together with all other TF sites.

The same thing was also said when X-Men Origins: Wolverine was released like 2 weeks early and the studio and Hugh Jackman all said that the bootleg version is not what you will see in the theaters, and to not cheat yourselves by watching it. Only to turn out 2 weeks later that what was leaked was exactly what turned up in the theaters but with added in SFX. ROTF got a lot of negative feedback and people are already pissing on DOTM even though they haven't seen any footage yet. Michael Bay is the front man, so he has to come out and squash any rumors weather they are true or false.
Welcome! Very true what you said though, I mean the mans rep is on the line in saying he didn't support 3D...it was stealing jobs from Americans and blah blah blah, then publically said shooting 3D was great and there was nothing to it...only to have one of the companies and 3D farms report that the film might be useless (meaning there is "something" to it)....thats got to sting hard core.
Now there's a possible discription of what were might expect to see in the upcoming "trailer", however this "trailer" looks and sounds to be just a gimmick made to get people into the seats, not really a reflection of what we are to expect to see in the actual film, kinda like that awefully funny SAW 3D movie trailer....with all the knives and saws flying at you. Those shots are just to showcase and cater to the 3D gimmick, but thats not a reflection of the film itself. I think what we are going to see with TRON and Narnia is just that, shiny cool things moving and "transforming"...but if it's the footage they showed in...where was it, Italy? Well I doubt it will be actual fottage from the movie itself...just like the Mars Rover viral footage from the first film. But hopefully I'm wrong, and we do get an actually trailer. This week will tell.

Exactly, and I still think that even though he's filming in 3D and standing up for his work, he still thinks that it's all a gimmick and he only filming in 3D because that's what the studio wants. So I'm sure that adds to the hard core sting.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if the 3D footage is total crap and can't be used. Michael Bay's method of filming and directing doesn't really fit with how a movie being filmed in 3D should be. I think that was also one of the reasons why he didn't support 3D. It's not like he's been pretty much living under the sea for 10 years making boring documentaries with 3D cameras and learning how to really film with them like a certain Avatar director. The studio should have just left him alone and film the movie in the way that he's comfortable filming it.
