Thanks to In Demand Toys on Facebook we have an excellent 180 degree motion view of the new Transformers Siege Omega Supreme and his Micromaster buddy Countdown. This gives an awesome view of the arms, legs, and torso and all the ratcheting joints in between in robot mode, then an equally great view of his base mode from all around.

Don't forget Omega's currently available at Entertainment Earth, Big Bad Toy Store, and The Chosen Prime and is expected this August with a price tag of $159.00.

An excellent update to the original! These Siege figures continue to impress! Cannot wait until August.. thankfully Jetfire will be here on Tuesday to help tide things over :-D

Seeing countdown with omega supreme is cool but it leaves me with questions... based on the assumption this partnership occurred first... was it his apprenticeship? Was he an employee who decided to branch out on his own? Did omega die and countdown went on to build his micro master rocket base to honour him? Was it an attempt to rebuild omega?

Ah well...

Re the toys, looking forward to most of these and though I did thoroughly enjoy TR astrotrain I’ll be picking this astrotrain up too. Wonder if they’ll do some left field repaint of him maybe into galaxy shuttle for the Japanese market or skystalker...

Gotta love the steam locomotive Astrotrain! :APPLAUSE:

I dropped some subtle hints to my father about a larger version of the G1 Astrotrain, since he handed the his back to me to keep it from being broken, and he's clearing a shelf to display it with his Lionel trains.

Also, looking at the view of Omega Supreme :shock:

that is a big beautiful chunk of plastic engineering. Makes it worth being thirty-ish feet in the air working on siding when that's my reward!
Something to note on Omega, my hubby just ordered mine from Hasbro Pulse, and Hasbro is reporting the release date as October first.

Thanks to member Death Reviews we have word that Hasbro Pulse has Refraktor and Brunt available for purchase! Anyone looking for that third Refraktor here's your chance!

Take note though there are only two allowed per member through Hasbro Pulse, so assembling your Refraktor camera will still require ordering from another source or some good 'ol fashioned foot work hitting your local brick and mortar.

This may be a little pointed, but I think the fan obsession that they're not going to be able to get a set of three Refraktors is completely overblown, and there's no reason to contribute to it further. I know the toy and collectibles industries love to promote scarcity to push people to buy things but ... this is a mass retail release that was only officially released today.

I decided to hit up the ghettorific Target & Walmart near my work on lunch break. Target had nothing significant. I had my first Springer sighting at the Walmart. Still no wave 3 deluxes though.

Visited a Target earlier and found a Springer. Still debating about whether or not to get him because I love the robot and car modes, but the helicopter just doesn't do it for me

To be honest Springer is perfect to me in all modes as far as his looks. His feet can be a little loose.

I'm trying to think of characters who could be remolds of siege molds. Since they are making needlenose and sinister impactor could be remolded into a new quake that will have target master compatability. I can see mirage turned into sure shot and slapdash. Nitro Zeus is going to be needlenose. Punch will be pointblank. Any ideas for Hound? Maybe landfill or Quickmix? Hopefully in the series after siege we'll get an accurate doubledealer. Impactor could be bludgeon or guzzle. Any ideas about how to do modern pretender shells?

Don't get me wrong, he's incredibly G1 accurate which is a plus for those of you that have been waiting for proper updates. But for me, I've always preferred helicopter modes that are sleeker like Spinister or the T30 Springer. So the boxier proportions for Siege Springer don't sit well with me. I'll probably still get him and just headcanon that this was Springer's original body with modifications done by Wheeljack to have a helicopter mode and then he'd eventually get reformatted to the T30 body

Thanks for the link, I ordered my 3rd Reflector at work! Even got to use my Pulse premium coupon and some Paypal bucks, so pretty much got him for nothing.

Now time to go to amazon and buy Caliburst and 5 Smashdowns.

It WAS correct when the news broke - it capped my minions out at 2. So we are both right - because I had them go BACK to pulse, and they were able to order three in a separate order. How very odd....

In my case, it's completely head canon. As far as I know and am aware, Smashdown has had no gender assignment. Officially, Smashdown is "they" for now, but for me, it's "she".

I'm hoping Smashdown ends up like Beast Wars Sonar and others where someone pounces on the chance to make a genderless character female.

You both are killing me because someone said it here and since then I’ve been of two minds about it like both of you too funny I think I’ve settled on female I’m sure there will be literature that specifies male but eh it’s fun :lol:

Well, there have been times when writers retconned a genderless bio, especially if it is a non-show characters with little to no fiction, like Sonar. Another Beast Wars example is a show character, however, and that would be Airazor who also had a neutral bio so they took it as a chance to add a chick to the Maximals (as there was no female Maximal in the initial BW line). If Smashdown make no fiction appearances than the charater is utterly up in the air until a decision is reached.

Thanks, these are really cool! According to the database, there are 8 codes remaining that can be acquired(22/30), the line has at least 8 more figures to be released/teased( we have 42/50), and that the line supposedly ends this December.

That's not quite how it happened. Before Airazor's toy came out, she was originally going to have a male toy bio. But Bob and Larry asked Hasbro if they could change her bio from male to female before its release since Bob and Larry wanted to add a strong female presence to the Maximals in the show and felt that the upcoming Airazor toy would do nicely. Thus, Hasbro complied and were able to change the pronouns in Airazor's bio from male to female since the request came early enough in the toy's development stages for the final bio to the changed before the toy's release.
