Kinda like what happened when the Micromaster Bases were given robot modes as Earthrise Modulators.

SG Slicer which can also be repurposed as G1 slicer, like they did with SG magnus.

I am ALL for these Multi-purpose designs.
Wish they did it more with stuff like the Diaclone-colored SG figures.

I do like that he seems to have a regular Decepticon insignia in these pictures, and it's probably a toyhax label away from being SG Slicer or SG Wheeljack.
Posted by Gauntlet101010 on June 23rd, 2022 @ 5:32pm CDT
I have the Botcon one, though, and I'm limiting what I get so it's a pass. But it's still a nice figure. If they make an Action Master Thundercracker? All for that.

He's essentially holding the entire weight of another deluxe figure in one 5mm port at the end of his arm...

I like it, but I don't like that once again it is essentially 2 things: SG Wheeljack and G1 Slicer. I want Slicer as an action master update, but I also want him for the SG shelf. And i don't want to buy 2, I already feel a lot of pain over that with Magnus.

Black Roritchi https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Black_Roritchi
may or may not be the upgraded form of
Fasttrack https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Fasttrack_(G1)
but
Roritchi https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Roritchi
may or may not be Shattered Glass Black Roritchi, or an un-upgraded version of him, but ISN'T Shattered Glass Fasttrack.
This is some Richochet/Stepper levels of confusing nonsense.

I mean the first issue is supposed to be out in August, and the Ultra Magnus toy not until October? But I guess this makes sense. IDW has to have all their stuff published before end of year when they lose the license, but the toys will be coming well into next year. Kind of sad.
But I did notice an odd skip:
Ultra Magnus is supposed to be released 10/1/22
Blaster is suppose to be 11/1/22
Then Slicer is 2/1/23...
Does that mean the last 2 could actually fill in gaps from December 2022, and January 2023? Or do we think the last 2 will be further into 2023? (Also what are the rumors for the last 2? I'm sure this was stated somewhere else, my apologies I could not find it).
At any rate, at least they are on pace to reveal the last 2 before the first issue of the comic comes out to avoid spoilers. Also I know the excitement of these toys is not solely driven by the comic, probably more people will be getting these that wont even read the comic, than will, but for any media tie in (whether print or animated), it seems like Hasbro cant win as far as timing.
Lastly, I did say I wanted that "Roritchi" repaint, but I dont feel compelled to pre-order it. When it is finally released, if I have the funds on hand I'll get it, if not, so be it.

As far as I'm concerned the Wiki jumped the gun with that entry, he doesn't have an official name and the presenters were just calling him that as an example of what we can call him because he happens to turn into a red spear. He'll be SG Fasttrack to me unless something official comes along.
As for release dates keep in mind that's their worst case release date that they've been using since Covid. Just look at how many figures they've dated for November 1st.

The 1st wave had 3 'Bots and 2 'Cons
Blurr
Megatron
Starscream
Goldbug
Jetfire
This wave so far has 2 'Bots and 1 'Con (technically)
Magnus
Blaster
Slicer
so shouldn't we be getting 2 more 'Cons to even things out?
Assuming the exclusives like the Prime/Ratchet set don't count.

I am also still praying for an Animated Omega Supreme from the Ark, or a new mold one

Yeah, well...maybe BECAUSE of Goldbug I had more hope than was necessary or prudent, because that Laserbeak is demonstrably the Siege one.

Till-all-R1 wrote:Store Exclusivity doesn't usually last too long so I'm sure they could utilize that version of Soundwave for a SG repaint if they wanted, even if it included the same Lazerbeak. Because technically it is still different. Goldbug too is slightly different Walmart from Bee even though the core alt mode is still is a VW Beetle. Problem with it is that it simply traded Excusive partners for which I'll still have difficulty in locating it because I've not had the best of luck with those Buzzworthy 4-pks to date. So if he's not too spendy on secondary market I may just get Goldbug there and forgo the process of unloading the other three.
True...I agree it's possible, but the use of Cybertronian Laserbeak just colors it. I'll wait and see what it ends up being like everybody else. I would wager that if the exclusivity period for Bumblebee is up, then so is Soundwave with Walmart (not Walgreens).

Officially, he's Slicer's Action Master Exo-Suit given a robot mode, like what happened to the Micromaster Bases in Earthrise.
Though, not "rumored" in the same way that Blaster, Ultra Magnus, Soundwave, and Slicer were "rumored". Prowl is just a guess more than anything.Rodimus Prime wrote:o.supreme 1 of the last 2 is rumored to be Prowl. But it's just mainly speculation at this point.

Yeah, it's fine. And looking back at the two versions of Ravage they aren't as different as I remember them so that's not actually a clue at all. But still, I wouldn't speculate too much based on the tapes, this takes place on Cybertron, but the tapes aren't gangmolded with Soundwave so they can mix it up however they want.

It's good to know the tapes aren't gang molded, but that only increases my ire that there's no Buzzsaw.
The story does take place on Cybertron but the non-flashbacks are after they went to Earth and destroyed it *even though Prime is still depicted as Earthrise in the flashbacks.

I might be the weird one here, but I'd like the SG Metroplex to use the Cybertron Metroplex mold. Would make a nice homage to how SG started.

Well the original SG figures mostly used Unicron Trilogy molds, so using Cybertron Metroplex would be a nice nod to that.

Plus last time I checked, that "city" mode for Generations Metroplex is just the bot sitting down, legged spread. With a "misstransformation" and maybe some extra parts à la SG Megatron, Cybertron Metroplex can be a "city" as well.

That bit of weirdness aside, I really like how, between SG Ultra Magnus, this toy and the extra heads from the Creatures Collide 4-pack, Hasbro's really pushing this "multiple characters in one figure" approach. The only way it could be better is if they also had replacement insignias for the SG characters, but that's mostly just perfectionist nitpicking.

So far, in the comics, "Slicer" is clearly Wheeljack, and is working for Ultra Magnus, having infiltrated Goldbug's troops as a scientist. So it would seem that Shattered Glass Wheeljack is really into espionage. I'd wager they went with Shattered Glass Wheeljack as a happy little coincidence to homage a Shattered Glass character AND a very rarely depicted obscure Generation 1 character. Which is good, because the more people that are interested in getting these figures, the more likely Hasbro is to continue the line!
They could easily do this again with a Shattered Glass Metroplex that doubles as a Generation 1 Metrotitan. People have been foaming at the mouth for a proper Metrotitan toy for a while now, especially considering his presence in the old IDW run and Takara Legends comics. They just need to put a little effort in to replace Legacy Metroplex's head, and maybe replace the buzzsaw axe with something that becomes City-mode kibble creatively.
Btw, recent in-hand photos from the designer shows that Shattered Glass Slicer has a Purple Decepticon Insignia, and not a Red one.
