I think i'll like this ep a loooot more than Nemesis Prime. They sorta played that up like it was Mech's endgame, but it felt too much like some smalltime hijinks for what i thought Mech's ambitions were. Mucho excited!!

I'm thinking MECH turned Breakdown's body into a walking incubator, with Silas where the spark used to be.

Interesting concept. Megatron kills Silas somehow from Breakdown's body, just to redeem & revive the former Decepticon. Not sure how that complies with the "kill a character, gone for good" concept they've got, but wishful thinking is eminent.

more than likely you're right. I just wonder what is a mortal wound to these bots? is it damage to their spark that does them in? can they survive dismemberment, decapitation, or energon depletion? megateon survived a space brige explosion and exposure to dark energon. yet skyquake was done in by gravity, cliffjumper took a hand blade to the chest( though I'm willing to bet that was where his spark was). how many vehicons have actually died? I just think these are some things I would like them to work into the story.

Cliffjumper was in 2 pieces (3 if you count his horn)
Breakdown is in 22 (69 if you count the wires & stuffs)

Seeing how Breackdown was disassembled, possibly before having his spark snuffed out, I have to safely say that he is dead and only Airachnia liked the results.

Well, he might prefer saying Airachnia. Probably because of the Blackarachnia reference in that version of her name.

I knew that I made that error somewhere! Thanks for the correction, as the reason why I made the error was partially due to the fact that The Hub showed a Black Arachnia centered "Transformers: Animated" episode.

Yeah... Still new to Animated. Sorry.
Which is ironic, as that series version of Blackarachnia was what lead me to seeking that series version of Arcee. Which lead me to visit a Toys"R"Us in Koriyama (went there for a different version). Which made me see a MISB "Welcome to Transformers 2010" Predaking that my inner child wanted me to buy. Which lead me to get Dark Skyfire. Which lead me to getting that very same Predaking immediately before they sold out TFsource, and three others. Which lead me to getting a few more Transformers. Which lead me to rejoining this site. Which lead me to mistyping her name the first time. Which lead me to say it that way, because I assumed it was spelled differently (compared to the Japanese packaging). Which lead me to saying this.
So what were we talking about again?

After being granted a new start in his life, the ever stone-faced Silas begins to see the world in a new light and makes an out-of-character decision to go to Megatron in the hopes that he will be allowed to join the ranks of Decepticon.

How? She set a web trap he got caught in, and then she impaled him. MECH stumbled upon his remains by coincidence.BeastProwl wrote:Sabrblade wrote:That was Airachnid's doing, though. She's killed Breakdown.XDMan wrote:Silas you jerk, Megs will kill you for the loss of Breakdown!

MECH shot that. It wasnt webbing, it was more like an electro-grapple wire kinda dealy. It stunned him, long enough for her to kill him, and get away. you'll notice upon re watching the scene, that she is surprised when his arm is caught.

Just rewatched it in HD. When the trap is sprung, it makes the same sound effect as her webbing, is colored exactly like her webbing (even has "holes" in it), and immediately after he's caught, Airachnid is smirking, show no signs of being surprised by this.BeastProwl wrote:Sabrblade wrote:How? I doubt Silas has the skills to understand what kind of personality Breakdown had.
He'll blow his cover before long.

It's webbing.
Airachnid suspected the notion that Megatron wanted her dead. She was a threat to him, mind you. And he made a point of appointing Break Down to do the job, even though it seems that Soundwave would have been a better choice.
Point being... She is a predator and she has to cover all her bases in order to survive.

OK FIRST OF ALL.
Back when we discussed this in the Discussion Thread, I said Airachnid trapped him, and YOU argued that it was MECH, and she took advantage. I got this whole scenario from you How ironic.
Posted by Sabrblade on September 1st, 2012 @ 9:55pm CDT
Yes. What you speak is true. I did previously see it as you describe, as it was what I was informed of originally. My source was misled and I fell right in with that misnomer. And even after coming to realize that Airachnid really did set that trap, I did not formally retract those statements I made back then. So now (better late than never), I formally take back all that I ever said about MECH setting that trap instead of Airachnid.BeastProwl wrote:OK FIRST OF ALL.

What personality? The dude barely got more than 10 minutes per episode (mind Deus ex Machina and Operation: Breakdown, where he had more prominent roles), and the only thing we know about his "personality" is that he's a nervous wreck and that he prefers working alone (per How to Draw Transformers Prime Breakdown bio, which makes no sense considering he's partnered with Knock Out and doesn't display any paranoia in the cartoon).
I think Knock Out would be the one to uncover Silas' little trick, not Megatron.
