At least one will be Waverider, retooled from Cloudburst. Predaking had a list of all 12 Prime Masters (The Arisen is not taken with the count, as he's represented by any Evolution Leader), the one coupled with Waverider should be black and off-white to grey:
Prima seems to be closest match, so that leaves Amalgamous and Nexus.

That right there gives us two solid new bits of info where we learn that the Prime Master the toy will come with is Prima Prime and that the toy can turn into both Punch and Counterpunch. The description states that this toy is meant to reflect the G1 toy and that it will be a premium release similar to the previous Arcee and Grotusque special releases.
Below is all the Amazon listings gives us for the descprition. It seems to be a completely new mold for it to achieve what is described.
Special Edition Transformers Generations Power of the Primes Figures
Deluxe Class Punch-Counterpunch figure converts between Autobot, Decepticon, and sports car modes
Punch-Counterpunch figure is designed to reflect the G1 release with 2 distinct robot modes and features premium details
Includes a special edition Prima Prime Master and comes in special edition packaging
Includes Deluxe Class Punch-Counterpunch figure, special edition Prima Prime Master figure, 2 accessories, and instructions. Ages 8 and up.
Celebrate the Prime Wars Trilogy with this special edition Power of the Primes Punch-Counterpunch figure. Featuring 2 robot modes (both Autobot and Decepticon) and a vehicle mode, the Autobot double agent was a huge hit when he was originally released in 1987. This version has been faithfully designed to reflect the original G1 figure. Plus, it comes with the special edition clear ice blue Prima Prime Master figure. The 5.5-inch scale Deluxe Class figure comes with a 1.5-scale Prima Prime Master figure and a Prime Armor accessory. Insert the Prime Master figure into the accessory, attach it to the figure's chest, and imagine Punch wields the power of a Prime. The Punch-Counterpunch figure converts from Decepticon to Autobot in 9 steps and from robot to sports car in 13 or 18 steps. The Prime Master figure converts between robot and spark modes in 1 step. Transformers all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro.

Oh crap, I misread that, too. Puch/Counterpunch is going to be one complicated figure basically having five modes: Punch, Counterpuch, car, arm, and leg. I was happier thinking he wasn't going to be a combiner and they'd be able to do something more G1 with the figure like giving it proper four arms. But either way I'm buying two.
So that's all of the exclusives counted for, right? I wonder what the plan will be for the last two and if they regret including Megatronus a second time with Blast Off?

Repugnus, in addition to Titan Master Dastard (drat and double drat), will come with Solus Prime, who's normally available with Octopunch in Wave 3. So count a second one for the "regret"

Most likely a new mold(with two robot modes) and combiner(as he comes with a prime armor).

Either way, stoked for Punch. Now I gotta hope that when Nemesis, Punch/Counterpunch, Blastoff, and Repugnus come in stock, I can scoop them up.
As for the final 2 Prime Masters, what if towards the end of the year we get 2 new boxsets, one with Monstructor and one with Dinoking, and they come with the final 2?

You know, what if this is a new mold or a heavy retool and the tradeoff for making 2 separate robot modes was ditching the combiner peg? The prime armor might be just that (armor) in this case.
8 steps to go from autobot to decepticon sounds like a little more than just a simple retool of an existing mold.

Also, retool for Shockwave/Onyx Prime when?

I spent about half the day trying to figure out what mold they might use (since I HIIIIIIIIIGHLY doubt they would use an entirely new mold) and the one that I thought would fit best is Jazz. Especially considering that, apart from sharing his combiner joint with Drag Strip, he is one of the VERY few to not get a repaint/remold/retool.
As for Prime Masters, I'm still not convinced that there will just be another wave. Given that SO MUCH of Power of the Primes was (unintentionally) leaked, I could see Hasbro withholding a wave of toys to be a surprise.

All that said, he's not a bad figure. He is definitely not perfect, but good. I like him. Is he worth retail price? For me, no. I might get him if he goes on sale though. For extreme BW fans though, I guess you'd probably like him.

I was willing to forgive the lack of munky mode for him because I thought he'd look good in spaceship/surfboard/slab mode, but no. Once you get them in hand, your perspective of him will change. Take PotP Optimus, don't even look at his back but Orion Pax as an individual is an awesome figure(just don't look behind , same with the "evolved" mode., just avoid putting too much looking behind.
I'd imagine the same too for this munkee jet.

The Deluxe certainly was I'm not sure about the little Legends/Cyberverse/whatever version. I imagine P/C will be the same way. I'm thinking he'll be a massive retool in the same way as Grotusque out of Twinferno where the only recognizable parts were the legs. Jazz could work, but as he is his windshield will be in the way of his Counterpunch head and the hood coming down over Punch's chest would be very inaccurate. Maybe they could use the hood to make Punch's arms and then the existing Jazz arms for Counterpuch with the hood forming shoulder pads. Could work, but they'd have to be very creative.

I agree with you completely. I mean, I don't even mind POTP Rodimus' backpack for Primus sake! I really like Optimal Optimus, he's cool looking and to have waist articulation on a gimmick filled Hasbro retail figure is unheard of. It's just Optimus Primal himself. That backpack is way too big for me. Everything else though, is fine except that I can't put a Titan/Prime Master in the cockpit. Now, I thought about it, and I might actually get him at full retail price. He's still the best Leader of this line, so I think he's worth it now. That should mean something because I'm not a BW fan

Do what others have done and knock off the pin, allowing the Optimal Optimus part of him to retain most, if not all modes. Oh and it gives you a bonus cybertronian mode 'actionmaster' Optimus Primal too.

The Deluxe certainly was I'm not sure about the little Legends/Cyberverse/whatever version.
Legion: new mold, but thought to share transformation design with Roadbuster (the car roof works differently tho)
Deluxe: extensive retool of AoE Lockdown
1-Step: retool of AoE Lockdown, keeps the original's model
3-Step: retool of AoE Lockdown, keeps the original's model
Back to the point, exclusives are redecos/retools most of the time, but unique molds have been made for that purpose like the Clones, especially during the movie lines. Also, previously canceled toys have been repurposed as exclusives, like during Animated.
So anything's possible with C/P and Repugnus given past trends, though the chance of them being retools is still higher than them being new molds.

Similarly, I just assume that Starscream is "Megascream," again, based on reference to sources of Transformers fiction. In Megascream's case, the name comes up in the IDW "Deviations" Transformers one-shot. I believe "Firestormer" was mentioned in the "Masters and Mayhem" story by the now defunct TFCC (Fun Publications). I don't think we have any torso with an unnamed combiner mode at this point.

I see the usual 3rd party amazon sellers have then for double to triple price.
I never saw them in any NW ohio store, and they appeared once at various stores in SE michigan, then huge restocks of wave 1. I snagged them when I saw them, so I am not concerned for myself, but something is definitely weird this time around.
This has never happened with an early Generations wave before to me.
I wonder if anyone could press on the hasbro guys at SDCC as to what the difference is, especially since a lot of the local store shelves are empty of generations figures.

That may stick as my headcanon name for him, kind of like "Finish Line" is for Loud Pedal. (You know, because the original exclusive was from Finland.)
