I want it, but i wish the ribcage purple was integrated more, less of a standing out.
also, i am not a fan of the red bits, unless something awesome happens when it mechtech-ifies.
but it looks like the gun would integrate better with other people than the bold purple one, and vice versa.
As in, other guns will work better on him.

Okay, not movie color accurate, not G1 color accurate. So what is this? Someone just failed kitbashing him?

If I find anyone willing to sell that gun, it would make a perfect Cosmic Rust gun for Sentinel Prime. Otherwise, this figure is a pretty useless version of a great mold.

wow i wanted to buy this too. but the robot mode is terrible.i thought he could be a cool galvatron with mabe some 3rd party add ons or some customization. c'mon hasbro no paint.i have the original one any ways.

We often do see repaints before new molds though, because it's easier to repurpose an old toy than make an all new one.

I like it! I want both versions and a leader. Too bad he wasn't much more than a monster to kill in the film, because he looks awesome and could have been a great character... To me it seemed like he was just a copy Megatron in movie 1, (it takes humans plus optimus to kill him) aside from the driller...

It would be great to get a third party movie galvatron head, but it seems like upgrading movie figs isn't very popular with third party toy makers. The only one I know of is for leader starscream, but we can hope!

Tankor rocks. That thing is an uninspired piece through & through. If they'd actually done it as a Tankor repaint, I might likely sing praise, being a hardcore Beast Machines fan n'all.

There are just some molds that shouldn't be repainted and used for another.... I'm assuming it's another shockwave as hasbro lately has been good enough to at least give us a new head mold most of the time with repaints......(as of lately anyways) But seriously....Leave Shockwave alone. Don't cheapen it.

Oh joy, as if we weren't getting enough, plain unpainted grey plastic in the movie toy line already.

Seems like a pretty lazy repaint. Honestly, I like having a fleet of repaints. I love my assortment of Classics Sideswipe mold re-purposed as 4 other bots. But this just barely qualifies as a repaint. Its not new colors. I just can't see this appealing to anyone who has the first run Shockwave, which, IMO looks much better.

The best part about all the new DOTM toys is how much money I can save by not buying any of them. Ok, ok, so I did get all the basic Human Alliance figures, and Sentinel and Ironhide leaders, plus Powerglide and Blackout Cyberverse, and Laserbeak Deluxe, and Skyhammer Voyager, but who's counting? And most of those I bought on good discounts like the Target $10 off coupon or the Hasbro half-price Groupon.

The ones I'm really waiting for are Leader Megatron and Leader Shockwave, as well as Cyberverse Hatchet and all the full-size Human Alliance non-repaints. I'd love a Leader Blackout, but doubt it will happen. I'd also love a Voyager toy of that garbage truck, as long as he doesn't look like Long Haul in robot mode. But we'll see. Right now I just gotta pare back my collection a bit to raise the cash to allow me not to feel guilty for spending it all again.

Cool. I actually like that Shocky better. We'll see which one I end up with though.

And really guys? Do we have to bump a news article? I'd rather not have to dig through a week of old comments to find new stuff. And the concept art thread, OI!

You know…this guy reminds me of Skullcruncher, maybe a possibility?

I'll bet they just call him like, "city attack shocwave" or something like that, not some other character name.
