If you are in the Japanese market, or just in the market for obscure redecos of 9-year old figures, have we got news for you! According to a post on Snakas Blog, the May issue of Japan's TV-Kun magazine will include a clear plastic redeco of Legion Class Bumblebee from Dark of the Moon, which came out in 2011. However, this figure is branded as "Thunder Spark Bumblebee" and is being associated with the Cyberverse line. Check out the pictures below.

Wait a moment... Dark of the Moon came out in 2011 :-? Isn't this the Revenge of the Fallen Legion class Bumblebee?

Got these 2 in the mail yesterday, got to play with them some last night.

Hammerbyte is a really cool warrior. The transformation is actually quite intuitive, and the shark mode is really cool. Except for no head movement, he is really good!

Rack n' Ruin is also a joy. The comments for him are similar to Hammerbyte, with the lack of any head movement being any sort of detriment. But they are really cool and the alt mode is nice too.

They are both fun!

With Maccadam making a big return in Cyberverse season 3, it now makes sense why he would be prominent in this year's deluxe line by being the build a figure component. Takara release new images through their Twitter handle showing him complete and posed in various ways. Of course, we did write an article showing you what to expect from this build a figure already, and you can read that here.

The next two components will be coming out in wave 2 which consists of Grimlock and Hot Rod and there will be a third wave with Arcee and Thunderhowl.

I really ought to get into this particular line. I wouldn't mind having a Macaddam/Alchemist Prime/Thew action figure.

I've only gotten the build-a-bot figures because all the others were just a little too simplified for my tastes.

The build-a-bot figures though are good figures, more suited for a more mature (for lack of a better description) collection, plus you get the awesomeness that is Maccadam.

Agreed with this, the parts spread wasn't very good, you gotta hold onto a forearm for like 8 months and another for 4 months

I opened up Hot Rod and Grimlock today, and I've got some mixed feelings on them.

Let's start with Grimlock. He is a solid and fun figure, with a nice tail transformation, and a certain style about his robot mode that is super cool. But he feels, I don't know, stunted? I have the Ultimate figure, and I actually prefer him to the new deluxe. Posing isn't too much better, and he is so much smaller. The ultimate feels like the far better deal. But the deluxe isn't bad, just not quite to par. I would say he's the 2nd best deluxe of the line.

And then there's Hot Rod. Gosh they did him dirty. He needed so much more paint, it's embarrassing how bland he is, He needed so much more yellow. The flame effects are about the only thing that don't suffer from the lack of paint, and are about the coolest thing about him. The transformation is also underwhelming, 2nd only to Shockwave in terms of being lame. Car mode is cool, but again, paint. He is the first figure in a while where I feel the figure is pretty awful paint wise. It's bad, and it pulls him down really far.

Bee easily remains the best deluxe of the line so far. And at least Maccadam can stand on his own 2 legs. I really want the biceps now

Arcee does look nice.

Just got the build-a-figure Rodimus to go in my Hot Rod collection. I'm pleasantly surprised. It's a nice, solid figure. Although one of the legs isn't very stable after one transformation and it suffers from a lack of paint apps.

The Transformers: Cyberverse TV show may be winding down but there are still some toys on the horizon for fans of the series to enjoy. While it has been awhile since any news came through on when to expect the "Battle Call" sub-line with its Officer Class and Trooper Class figures on the shelves, it looks like these toys are one step closer to being in the hands of kids and collectors. Via listings on Amazon US, Amazon UK and UK wholesaler A.B. Gee, stock images are available of the first wave of Officer Class figures, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. A.B. Gee also has a listing for the Trooper Class figures, featuring Wild Wheel, Meteorfire and another Bumblebee.

Check out the images mirrored below, which begin with Officer Class Bumblebee, and be sure to let us know if you find these toys available to order or on store shelves in your area.

Wild Wheel, while kinda cheap looking, looks nice, and I appreciate his stetson being removable. Probably be the only one I get, and I’d kill for a dark blue, 19th-century US Army Cavalry themed redeco. Still curious how the armor thing works. I know it’s voice activated but how does it pop out?

You may not want to hear this, but the spring-loaded armor is only on the bigger Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, with the rest simply being attached (look at the fins on the shoulders). According to the box, the lights on the figures and sounds on the bigger Prime and 'Bee are voice-activated, but the armors are not. It's possible there are different sounds depending on whether the armor is deployed or not (like a button being kept pressed), but I can't find any clues to that.

Well that makes a lot more sense. Not really disappointed, still wanting Wild Wheel, don’t plan on anyone else (unless they do Decepticons that haven’t gotten figures yet).

Also, forgot about Meteorfire. Robot mode ain’t bad, but Jesus Christ that jet mode is less aerial dynamic than friggin’ Devastator.

New characters seem like they got the short end of the stick here. Wild Wheel looks pretty cheap in bot mode and Meteorfire's alt mode looks like a box with wings. Happy to see new characters but hope they get sonething additional down the line.

I shouldn't complain too much, still infinitely better treatment than a ton of RiD's characters! Never getting a good Saberhorn, are we :(

The last few eps that ran on CN have sold me on the two new guys, but it is a shame these will probably be their only toys.

I've now had enough bad experiences with forgetting batteries until they were long corroded that I'd just as soon never see another TF with an electronic gimmick again, but this voice activation feature reminds me so much of those Allspark Tech figures that I foresee these guys mostly showing up in Marshalls and TJMaxx, though Ollie's may also answer said "Battle Call".

Of course, just when the former two stores actually reopen in Michigan, that I cannot foresee.

The big Prime has a pretty wicked face sculpt for the armor.

Shame these are meteorfire and Wild wheel's only toys, they have such cool designs and are getting some mediocre toys. These are 2 of only maybe 6 figures left from the line I want

I think the spring loaded armor is controlled by the weapons. When they're pulled out from the back they trigger a catch.

I was mainly talking about the toys themselves since those came out long before the show had colored him black.

But in the show itself, his black deco wasn't something that he himself chose for any stealth missions. His body was turned black by a toxic pool of energon waste after he inexplicably miraculously survived being dunked in it.

I realized that a while ago, it is nigh identical to the TLK Hot Rod paint job from the Bumblebee legion 2-pack, plus the keeping of red/orange/yellow with the black clearly pointed to him.

It's super cool to see Hot Rod homaged like that, and it made sense in the story

I love it when characters like Hotrod and Bumblebee (in TFP for the "Prime" example) take on a black color scheme later on, I wouldn't care that much if it was their main colors or anything but since it's an alternative I love it.

Cyberverse has proven to be a well loved show, with a really good Season 2 and a really awesome and original take on the Transformers and the Quintessions in Season 3. We have gotten a lot of toys during the show run, and it while almost every toy has been revealed officially with product images and such, there are still 3 figures left to get a proper reveal, and today we have some more information on one of them.

That figure would be Ultimate Class Iaconus, whom was originally listed back at the very beginning of the year, but has remained in the shadows since, possible due to his role in Season 3 of the show and wanted to coincide with his full reveal. Iaconus is set to arrive in a wave that also includes the previously released Optimus Prime and Shockwave, which means he might be stealthily making his way to shelves soon and not stand out right away.

In the show, Iaconus is described as a War Titan, a Titan who is larger than standard Titans and far more aggressive and fierce. Iaconus' design was previously showed to us as well, but how accurate to the show model his toy is is up for debate, considering what the newest Ultimate Class figures have looked like and used as a gimmick. Hopefully he leans more towards the Ultimate Grimlock than the Ultimate Shockwave.

Check out his product information below, courtesy of Entertainment Earth, and let us know what you think Iaconus will end up looking like below! And stay tuned, hopefully he, and the Ultra Class Skullcruncher and Thunderhowl will make appearances soon!

Get ready to fight on Cybertron with Iaconus! Iaconus figure is an impressive 9 inches tall. Pull, spin, and convert! Easy Transformers conversion for kids 6 and up. Convert Iaconus toy from robot to spaceship mode in 14 steps. Pull out his weapon accessory in the last conversion step to activate his spinning Sword of Iacon Attack feature. Makes a great gift for kids!
