I agree
In my humble opinion, TRU is horrible!! they have a horrible Customer Service, horrible communication, and they don't really know how to gain new customers, I think hasbro should have choose Walmart again, or even sell Grimlock themselves.
I am terribly disappointed

Have TRU ever followed MSRP? I suppose they could be closer now that Hasbro's raised the MSRP on the normal figures, but back when $9.99 was the price point for deluxe class, weren't they charging more? I remember that's what I hated about KB before they went down, and that I didn't like TRU either because they weren't much better.

VERY TRUE!
Is TFA's Arcee nightmare coming again?

Yeah, especially considering what other figures are on those shelves. For the love of God TRU, update your stock!

PS: HUNTING FOR TRANSFORMER TOYS SHOULD BE MUCH LIKE WFC'S VERSION OF A MULTIPLAYER...WHERE YOU GET TO FIND THE TRANSFORMER(S) YOU'RE LOOKING FOR...WHILE TAKING OUT SCALPERS WITH AN X12 SCRAPMAKER (man I've been playing WFC wayyy too much lol)

If you mean if this has blue eyes the answer is yes and no. Masterpiece Grimlock can change the color of his eyes from red to blue.

I have the Japanese one and I plan on getting the Hasbro version.. Trust me, he is well worth it..
He is actually almost in scale with the classics line as when the dinos first appeared they were HUGE. I actually display my Grimmy with my classics.

Also: I agree Toys R Us does suck currently, the one near me put out movie figures instead of WFC figures with the game display.

Im not sure why people are complaining about customer service. I just walk in, buy what I want, and walk out. Im not there to to become part of some "great shopping expierence." Im there to buy something.

I'd be happy to trade mine for a crown and $75...I'll even throw in the apron and mind swap contraption.

I'm taking this sighting as a positive sign that toys r us will be sending out those pre-orders soon. Here's hoping

All of the TRU stores that I called in my area including the Time Square store had no idea they were suppose/going to getting MP Grimlock in and none of them have it in stock. I'm just glad they're processing the online orders now so I don't have to hunt these down.

Must be a NY/NYC thing, seems like we get the ppl, who don't have a clue as to what were talking about. I called the one up here in the New Hartford area. I was like "Could you tell me if MP Grimlock was in the store yet?" after being on hold for 10 mins the person come's back and was "what was the name again sir.MP GrimWad?"

It's apparently a TRU thing period. According to the manager of my local, they're just sent stuff, they don't know what's coming in until it gets there. And they can't order anything specific.

Masterpiece Grimlock, Animated Rodimus Minor and Cybertron Mode Ratchet come in different cases (obviously) but they are shipping together.
So if your store has one item, but you don't see the other, have them check in the back. All three exclusives are shipping together.

Toys R Us Rep wrote:Hello,
We saw your post discussing the possible cancellation of orders for Masterpiece Grimlock placed on Toysrus.com. Every customer that preordered Masterpiece Grimlock received the email due to a delay in the shipment of the product. We have confirmed that all of the orders placed during the presale period will be fulfilled and that they will be shipped on a first come, first served basis.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Thanks,

I did get the SKN (TRU's version of a SKN) for anybody that wants it 35-4815, hopefully I can at least help someone else find one at their local store.
This location also had 3 Animated Arcee and at least 6 of the Cybertron mode Ratchet. There were also quite a few of the PCC 5-packs and at least 2 of each PCC 2-pack.
I worked for TRU for 3 years so I can confirm what others were saying, they don't get to order stock, its all based on what the computer says each location has. They are just auto-shipped a truck full of stuff and find out what they got as they're putting it out.

Was just at the Times Square store this evening, MP Grimlock not in stock yet. The only Animated series figure there was Ratchet. Otherwise some PCC (first wave), they don't even have Drift or Thrust from Generations! Some Commemorative figures (Insecticons, Perceptor), old figures!
As usual no love for Mudflap!

omega666 wrote:I don't care about the delay. It's the CANCELLATION they mentioned that bothers me when they sent that first email right after the price went up. I don't want them to cancel my order and then I have to re-order with the "updated" price.
Except Mr. Friedland said all preorders would be fulfilled. My order at $49.99 (with $10 off code) went through and is currently being shipped. So they're not forcing pre-orderers to pay a higher price.
