Well, after seeing the Titans Return figures on the show floor we finally have the official images for the upcoming figures! The figures include Wave 3 of 2017 as well as the Speed and Strength Boxsets. Hasbro’s TRANSFORMERS GENERATIONS line of converting action figures features characters and expressions from throughout the more than 30 years of the TRANSFORMERS brand. In 2017, the epic PRIME WARS TRILOGY continues with the second chapter, TITANS RETURN!

the Rodimus Titanmaster was stated to be Diecast. I would think Thunderwing would be too, seeing as how it appears they are just heads, not even a little vehicle to go with them

(Though the filenames appear to imply that what's being depicted is him... eating Titan Masters, and them... going to his belly? In that case WOW, just check out that Titan Master integration on Trypticon, without the sarcasm!)
Also, I'm honestly amazed at how easily this 3D-rendering stock-image photography can make even the most amazing figures look totally awful. *coughSeaspraycough*

It would appear that Windblade's Titan Master is in fact the same base one as Fracas/Xort (i.e. same torso and thighs), but with a different small head, arms and shins/feet! That seems like an unprecedented level of change to those little guys - the only other TM I can remember having differences was (coincidentally) Xort's head being different to Fracas'. I guess this marks yet another interesting point in the list of what TM-sharing does and does not necessarily entail. (Don't mind me, just filling in as self-appointed TM-data-gatherer for Jelze for the time being
)
Also guys, it uh, looks like there are a few issues in the linked gallery. Pounce seems to be labelled as Cloudraker, and MP Prime is there for some reason? Don't know if this is a site issue or if the images came labelled this way but just thought I'd point it out as a note of interest.

That's an actual labelled feature. Trypticon can officially eat Titan Masters.
MP Prime was included in the images they sent us. For what reason we have no idea.

That is... amazingly cool. Yeah, Trypticon is definitely a must-buy now. Maybe this was that "creative integration" of Titan Masters that was mentioned once ever and I just keep harping on about?

I definitely like that a re-used Titan Master has actually been changed in some way aside from the head mode... but I'm very perplexed now as to what the Titan Master is supposed to reference, and why of all characters they done it for Windblade rather than a character who did have a -master partner who could have used retooling to look more like themselves.

I can only assume they're pre-emptive changes to pay homage to a future use of the Windblade sub-mold of the Highbrow mold family (at least, the arms and legs are - head seems to be definitely Windblade-themed). Let the hunt for a matching -Master partner begin!

We do have an idea. He is being rereleased this year through Toysrus so they lumped in his promo pics with the rest of this more collector oriented stuff.

Don't know if this is a site issue or if the images came labelled this way but just thought I'd point it out as a note of interest.
MP Prime was included in the images they sent us. For what reason we have no idea.
We do have an idea. He is being rereleased this year through Toysrus so they lumped in his promo pics with the rest of this more collector oriented stuff.

Well, it would appear from the recently-posted video that Windblade's stock photos do in fact seem to show her mistransformed. It looks like her wings do actually sit behind her shoulders, but the 3D renders just missed that step - that, or she just looks a lot better in person.
On the other hand, Nautica's vehicle mode is really just disappointing. Notably moreso than Brainstorm, it's literally just a purple Blurr with some turbines on the sides. Not to mention the fact that she still has that convertible-canopy thing going on - how is she meant to function as a submarine with a giant gaping hole in the cabin roof?
I also spy a sneaky Skrapnel in among the Trypticon display! It could just be so they can have all the Insecticons together, but the only other old figure in the display seems to be Cosmos - who's getting a reissue in TR. Could this mean a reissued Skrapnel in the near-ish future? (Wishful thinking I'm sure but I really hope so, T30 Legends never appeared in my area and now he's the only Insecticon I don't have.

At first disappointed that Thunderwing's just a head. But then I saw it and thought... eh... Don't like the face so I can skip it anyways and I don't really want a version of Sky Shadow as Thunderwing anyways. I'll keep waiting for a decent voyager Marvel-esque Thunderwing.
G2 Prime looks funky.
Blitzwing is the best toy Blitz has ever got and far better than the Generations one but I'm much happier with the mold as my Megatron.

It's the exact same mold as Wave 3 Optimus with absolutely no changes, so yeah, it has a jet mode. They just didn't show it for... reasons.
Which is a shame, because the deco now means that Optimus turns into a jet that flies past you at extreme speeds while showing a picture of him burning down a forest. If anything could be added to him to make that sticker from the original toy more awesome, it's that

I wouldn't hold out on Iron Apex/Apex Bomber. The single rumour for him comes from a mostly-accurate list that said these boxsets would contain a deluxe Iron Apex that attaches to a Delta Magnus-coloured Powermaster Optimus Prime (ie not the Ginrai mold). The same rumours also failed to mention Metalhawk, said one of the included Titan Masters would be 'Thunderclap', and if I recall correctly said the clones would be Deluxe.
Given all this it's safe to assume that these particular rumours on the list were either wildly inaccurate or were working from early information and plans for the sets that for some reason Hasbro changed later (speculate on that as you may). Hence right now, we have no indication that Hasbro plans to release a Godbomber/Iron Apex to combine with either Powermaster Optimus Prime or Magnus Prime.

Huh, a few seconds of googling shows that to be the case. Suppose it makes sense then; just that a romanized Japanese name like that with no context saying it's a romanized Japanese name... makes it look really weird on the shelves and online store listings.

You can actually close the canopy once you Transform Blurr/Brainstorm problem solved.
So the Submarine thing still works in a way even though I still don't see how this is a submarine looks more like a space ship to me especially with the Turbines.

I had a lot of catching up to do in this thread I'll just do a quick rundown
Octane and Blitzwing look incredible. I'm really glad they did the retooling necessary to make them even more distinct from their pretools.
Twintwist as expected looks amazing. Him and Topspin are easily the best deluxe figures of Titans return.
I'm presently surprised with windblade. Wasn't too excited when I heard the initial rumour but I think she works well enough. Not sure what to do with T30 windblade though.
Seaspray is so chunky and adorable and is a strong contender for best legends. Ramhorn is pretty awesome too but it's a shame he's not a legends.

Speed set; Lazer prime is a nice surprise his colors are really cool and makes him distinct from Optimus while being the same character. Quickswitch I think works well enough but some more retooling would've been appreciated. Fastlane looks really cool and I'm honestly quite surprised he's a legends and a new mold. I think Nautica works well enough for what it is. Yes a new mold would've been preferable but I think it still works. Vehicle mode kinda, majorly sucks though.
Strength set; Tidalwave looks pretty cool, wished they used the green color scheme though. Metalhawk is a pleasant surprise. I don't think anyone saw him coming but he looks incredible. Pounce has a nice robot mode but the puma mode is a little dorky. I think the beast mode legs are too thin. Now Magnus prime kinda annoys me. I imported the Takara Ginrai because I thought that Hasbro wasn't going to release it. But instead they did release it and it has potentially more guns and the trailer is painted a beautiful silver.
All in all this line is going to bankrupt me and I think I'm okay with that.
I'll just do a quick rundownOctane and Blitzwing look incredible. I'm really glad they did the retooling necessary to make them even more distinct from their pretools.

I must note that exciting as it is, don't be so soon to trust that silver on Magnus Prime. While of course very close, paintjobs shown off at cons and fairs and such aren't always completely accurate to the final product, so take any colour scheme you see on the floor here with the teeniest tiniest grain of salt.

John warden explained in an interview that the clones are not legends or deluxes but a new class made just for their kind. And all 4 clones will be released through different box sets. This has me now on a total moratorium on the TR line since I want to see what is in those boxsets before buying more individual toys so as not to double up on molds I might not really care for. Like Broadside. No need to get him anymore if I will have that mold as Tidal Wave. They are also the only non titan master compatible toys in the TR line. They wont be available outside the boxsets but I can totally see Takara releasing these molds as 2 packs. Man I just freaken wish we would see all that they have planned so I could budget better and know which route I am taking on these.
I dont know about the more guns thing. It could be that Hasbro brought along an extra gun for some reason or made a mistake. Also many of these toys are the painted promotional versions and not final releases. So it could be that the silver paint wont carry over in the final release. I hope it does, but we have all been dissapointed before.
