It kinda looks like that which would explain the alternate deco at the very least it looks like this one has better feet.
How the heck does Scorponok stand?

Unless stated by hasbro, I'm going with definitely not.

Then it has a lot of the same kind of molding including the sword which is also eerily similar with the Sword and it's sheath design invoking a lot of the same visuals as the Generations mold.

I hope I'm wrong and it's just the photography making her look like she has no wrists, but if they DID nix the articulation then that's pretty sh!tty.
She never had ball-jointed wrists, but you can see here:
She does indeed have no wrist articulation, but I don't think that she is a remold of the gen figure however

That looks like an all new mold to me and my Windblade doesn't have ball jointed wrists. They are mushroom pegged.
Also good to see that Hasbro is using the Battle Grimlock mold which I just got.

Don't worry, I can't almost guarantee you that you got it for much cheaper, and with a better paint job, in all likelihood, than whatever this 'Platinum' set will cost

It really doesnt look like a retool to me. It looks like a totally new mold which has a similar design. The transformation is bound to be different. Also, I have no clue which ball jointed wrists you are speaking of. Feel free to provide a picture so that we better understand what you are getting at.

Oh yeah, I am pretty sure no one is regretting getting their takara grimlock even after seeing this news. Takara's deco is show accurate and you can buy it by itself, sounds like a win in my book.

THAT ISN'T EVEN TRUE OF THIS UNIVERSE'S OPTIMUS PRIME. Beast Hunters was only 3 years ago, people, come on. And it's definitely not the first Optimus Prime that can fly in all continuities. Ugh. Hasbro, get your facts straight.

Whoops! My mistake, she has mushroom peg wrists. Still better than no wrists at all, though.
(I don't actually own Gen Windblade because from what I've seen it's not a very good figure. Please don't shoot me.)

The show runners not knowing if the name was available for toys, hasbro not caring enough to notify them, no plans to make a toy at the time so nobody thought it would be a problem, take your pick.

Hasbro has a history of making sure that their cartoons have used names that they can use. For them to not do so would make them look bad.Microraptor wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Why would the show give him a name that Hasbro, the company that created and owns the character, can't Trademark?Deadput wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Why is Groundpounder's toy named "Groundbuster"?

Wait wait, so Hasbro saying we'd get an MP Sideswipe but not giving us one was fine, them never giving us the voyager Prime Breakdown (which they designed) is totally cool, and them green lighting all those Michael bay films is no problem, all the piss poor platinums being released this year are totally firgiveable, BUT it's this that makes them look bad, THIS!?!?!?!

No, I did not. If your main argument is that Hasbro is afraid of looking bad then I feel that isnt much of an argument seeing as how they havent been afraid in the past. Disney made a legal mistake for the avengers blu ray boxset, Hasbro's legal department is not impervious to mistakes either.
