Titans Return Asia-exclusive Sticker Sheet for Wave 2 Deluxes, Voyagers and Leaders revealed

A few things I wanted to mention and I lose track of where things were said since these toys are in 2 seperate threads.

Firstly, I remember saying that the stickers for TR would be easy to find online. But I dont need wave 1, wave 2 might be better, I like how they look on chromedome. Curious most about those circular ones for Mindwipe.

Anyways, another thing I was discussing was how Hasbro is hitting the TR line out of the park and offering us a different option from Takara rather than an inferior option. Like Emerge, I agree that hasbro's TR Blaster is the definitive version of that figure which was clearly designed to homage the original giant toy rather than be a stand in for a show accurate Blaster (like for what, the MP line?). Anyways, I was looking at chromedome pics and if Takara hadnt decided to lump the titan master vehicles with the deluxes, I would not have been able to tell you which toy came from which company. They both have as premium a look, it's just different (which to me is the best scenario since you never feel you have an inferior product).

How. I've not been able to keep up for a while but I notice rumours of a new Cosmos down the line. Is that all so far? I'm wondering if there might be a chance of another Scrounge besides the one in that box of KOs . Ta!

There's a lot more rumours than just Cosmos lol, but nothing on Scrounge. But now you bring it up, the possibility of a single-packed Scrounge retool of a new Cosmos does interest me...

I'd probably be able to tell which Chromey is which because Hasbro's has less of a cohesive color-scheme. Takara's is very cartoon-accurate (with the brown paint on the legs) and Hasbro's is just a tiny bit of silver on the chins. Takara's also has less colors, whereas Hasbro's has multiple shades of brown plastic (common for Hasbro). Takara seems to be better at matching plastic colors. Not saying either is bad, but just saying that I would be able to tell which is which because each side has their own company cliches.

Edit: Also, Takara's has gold-painted rims on black wheels, whereas Hasbro's has unpainted translucent black wheels. The translucent black on Hasbro's is the same plastic as the windshield. That's a huge giveaway.

Same. What I meant was judging the two pics and all you know about Takara is that their paint scheme is usually better, it would be hard to tell which one has better paint.

I love how Hasbro has that silver on his abdomen and the nice red on his car sides. I am assuming Hasbro went for MTMTE colours?

It interests everybody

I have not seen hardly any of the Headmasters cartoon besides an english dub of one episode. Even before then though, the Chromedome I knew and loved had the brown legs and tan shoes.

I know you said it doesn't matter but I thought I'd point out that the brown on Chromedome is way closer on the actual figure than in that product shot. Going off memory I don't think it's different at all.

That's been known for quite a while, in fact Highbrow and Scourge share parts and Titan Master as well.

A rather nasty realisation is that since Blurr and Chromedome have had redecos/retools done, poor Stylor has at least 6 versions of his mold:

Blurr Body
1. Hyperfire (Blurr)
2. Autobot Teslor (Brainstorm)
3. "Cana" (TT Brainstorm)

Chromedome Body
4. Autobot Stylor (Chromedome)
5. "Chrome" (TT Chromedome)

I like the darker windows on the Hasbro one The red stripe adds interest too.
However I prefer the head on the Takara one and the pale arms seem more appropriate to me it breaks the line of the side of the car up less too.

I also like the wheels on the Takara one. I don't like the pale extension of the window line the colour looks a little off and overall though the Takara one looks like the win to me.

Ah yes, I see that now, just very similar guns!

I much prefer the method of two guns combining into a turret that Highbrow, Hot Rod and apparently Triggerhappy use. It makes the individual guns look much more natural than wielding a gun that has a big giant space in the middle.

Probably will buy the headmasters that were that way in G1 and definitely passing on the characters that weren't headmasters in g1. Nice to be able to cherry pick a line.

I really hope Reprolabels makes an Optimus-burning-down-forests set for Voyager Optimus.

I think the cool/smart thing about this line is rather than be an entire line everyone has to collect to feel "complete", there are several subcategories people can collect individually. Meanwhile, the whole line pays tribute to an era.

My interest is in new versions of '86 movie characters and characters who were repeat characters in Season 3.

I do have some interest in some of the retools because a TON of reuses of a mold or toolings makes for easier customizing.

I've seriously considered picking up Highbrows if I ever see him to swap the legs and fists with my Scourges I'm using as Sweeps.

I just got my TR Powermaster Optimus, and the extra two lil' windows on his chestplate are unpainted. Does anyone know if this was a running change or did I just get unlucky?

I hope that we get a new Cosmos, and that he's at least a Deluxe sized character, and that he has the TM gimmick

Asia Exclusive decals/labels (Wave 2 deluxe)

Fellow Seibertronian Logan79 has found some great images of the Asia exclusive stickers applied on the Wave 2 deluxes of the Titans Return line. These images were found on Chinese site, Toy People News and we have taken a handful of those images to show you what the stickers add to Chromedome, Mindwipe, Wolfwire and Highbrow.

While the stickers add colour and further detail, they don't seem to reference detail found on either the original toys or the look of these characters on the show. Wolfwire, for instance, has stickers to add blue to his wolf face, which is not a reference to anything in particular, and instead does not have stickers to add silver to the circle on the yellow portion of the upper wolf limb, which is a detail found on the original toy and missing in this new toy's deco.
The sticker sheet also has stickers for Soundwave, Alpha Trion and Astrotrain so if any fan finds images (or can take images) of those stickers applied on those toys, please let us know so we can share it with the community through a news post.

Funny thing is, an online friend I have received Powermaster OP and had only one of the four chest windows unpainted. It seems to be a common yet weirdly specific problem.

Mine came with a wheel that fell off since it was malformed and the peg was too short. Yay

There was a seller on Amazon selling the clear stands a couple of months back - they are the same stands used for Tracks but clear instead of black.

There was some earlier stands released for AOE (they have the hex holes in the butts too usually - as do some Generations toys like Arcee).

If you wanted one of the stands to see what they are like your best bet is to buy a KO of Road Rage or a MP Tracks (the legit Road Rage didn't include the stand in the box).

I do have some movable armature stands I got on ebay very cheaply but they are to small for anything bigger than a 4" figure really - I usually use them upside down to suspend Eaglemoss Starships from them.

But they also worked great for something like suspending cassettes near Soundwave or Blaster or for supporting flying figures like a 3.75" Marvel's Falcon figure say.

Currently out of stock, but TFSource had the clear Takara stands for a while.

These stickers look quite good on these guys. Makes you wonder why the Wave 1 stickers were so lackluster.

I think that Sentinel Prime looks nicer stickered up.

I get the impression that Mindwipe's stickers would look nicer on the legs so they show in robot mode though as I think they disrupt the look of the bat wings when placed on the front. I like them on the wolf though.

I don't see why they can't hand these stickers out a bit more broadly than they do - you can supposedly get them when ordering certain stock from certain places - but they don't make it easy on you really. and they usually for for $20.00 for that price it's worth the while of the Chinese to copy all the stickers I'd have thought and sell them in a KO bargain bundle.

Botcon picked a bad time to go die on us what with that G2 Optimus being a shoe-in for a Toxitron repaint.

Not to mention Takara/Hasbro made it easier to make repaints/remould as all they had to swap was the face plate to make a new head and not the whole head.

Also they might have realised that Prime Beast Hunters Wheeljack would have made a good Rodimus too.

I expect that there will be an eventual replacement but what ever it is may end up selling more stuff like SDCC does and the sort of expensive giftsets they like to push at us.

I keep missing those as I usually don't want to pay their original retail and I then forget about them - I just remembered I completely forgot about the AOE Autobots also the Optimus & Grimlock Leaders Giftsets for example.

I suppose in 2017 I'll remember there was a Planet of Junk & Cyclonus' Armada set as well.

Nice to see branches someone picking up hasbro america's copious amounts of slack when it comes to paint apps/decals/whatever

Takara sold them (and might still sell them) officially at their "takaraTomy mall" site. Be careful with them, as they do not fit EVEY peg-hole designed for display stands on a TF. The bags have a list showing which toys will work with the stands. Not EVERY MP or Combiner Wars figure, for example, work with the stands, even if said figure has a peg hole.

This is probably because some (older) molds had holes designed for the "standard" Bandai/Gundam stands (easily available in Japan), while "newer" molds are designed for the Takara proprietary stands. Unfortuntely, Takara failed to imclude adaptors to allow the narrower official pegs to fit into the wider holes on the older figs, so you will need to make one yourself. Also, EVERY stand has a silver Autobot symbol on it, which is a bit silly, too.
