I'm sorry, the first rollar's quality was crap. It had loose joints and cheap feeling plastic. You couldn't pose it because it would collapse.
what he said becasue the joints where very loose & colapse in bot mode the figure itself made me second guess my self when i bought the movie figures & opened them but now i see i know the differnce movie figures are nothinge like the battle roller the first battel roller was the reason i kept all my first movie figures in there packages im sataisfied hasbro takara make like that.
nice repaint but i have the first one i dont need another roller the gun i may have to pass or get later on depends on the price for it i forogt the price what is it again i dont feel like checking.?

I've heard nothing but bad about the first run, and given the money people shelled out for it, I wouldn't expect this one to sell well.
But yes, it LOOKS damn good.
Maybe sell the gun separately TFC????

It's really put me off future TFC produts. That gun had better be a step up in quality.
Yeah, I don't have Battle Rollar but this is the general impression I got from the reviews I've seen of it. Great looking design but not so great construction.

The pictures look great, but it's too bad that based on others comments the original Rollar release had horribly loose joints. While I won't be buying it, I hope the company has resolved this issue.

loose joints can be fixed, wonder why no one comments on the LED gun

True but loose joints is a bit of a low blow when you're paying for a limited production item at a premium price. It's not a $10 mass produced Hasbro/Takara figure you're buying so I can see the validity in criticism of that issue.
The TFC-005 Gear of War LED weapon set for OP looks cool. I'd like to get it but too many other things have priority over it on my to-buy list.

I guess that's true too. What other things you planning on getting?

I'll just copy over my list from this thread.
Convotron wrote:At the top of my list are Alternity Vibrant Red Convoy, Premium Lemans Blue and Diamond Black Megatron, Champion Yellow and Pearl Red Bumble. I really love the Alternity line so far so I'd like to get these ASAP while their prices aren't too high(Vibrant Red is crazy pricey right now, though).
Followed by:
MP-01 or MP-04 and MP-05
Armada or Micron Legend Tidal Wave
Energon Omega Sentinel
Armada or Micron Legend Megatron
Energon Galvatron
Galaxy Force or Cyberton Galvatron
These are the "big ones" for me right now. There are many others but these are likely going to be the most expensive and some may be harder to find complete and in good condition if not MISB.
The main reason I'm holding off is I'm working this year to save up to return to school and I've used up my summer's budget for Transformers. I don't want to overspend and dig into my school savings.
I also have non-Transformers figures that are taking up my budget considerations. I'd like to get the MP King Exkaiser and MP Dragon Kaiser figures(the latter is hard to find but it's so worth it to get both to create Great Exkaiser). I'd also like to get a few of the GaoGaiGar figures and its variations but they are also not easy to find and really expensive.

I bought the DVD edition of the 20th Anniversary OP a while ago(it's on its way ), which I really dig. I'm thinking of getting the 20th Anniversary OP at some point rather than the MP versions of OP because aside from the short smokestacks and battle damage paint, it seems identical to MP-01/04. Also, it seems to be much cheaper than the MP figures.

You should, because you can prob find one at half price of what MP Prime would've costs.

ryan.j wrote:afaik the gun/s are being released separately to the roller, but i saw it/them as a stand-alone for $30 somewhere last night (robotkingdom? would have to check) which seems steep.
Yeah, the guns are their own set, TFC-005. I saw it listed at RK for roughly $25.

That's the plan as things stand right now. The best case scenario is that I somehow have the money to spare for an MP OP but I'm happy with the DVD edition.

Right now, Battle Rollar is available.
In December, we will get a release of the LED gun, in black and in cartoon colors.
In December, we will also get a new release of Battle Rollar, in both black and cartoon colors, both of which will come packaged with their respective LEG gun kits, and both or which are attachable to ROTF Prime?

Here's how I see it.
At the end of this month, we're supposed to be getting the GOW 2 set, containing two guns, one with a blue LED embedded, and one with a smaller LED attachment. These two guns will fit Alternity Convoy, Henkei/Classics P/C, and ROTF Leader Prime with the included adapters and add-ons.
Battle Rollar is also available now in Henkei/Classics blue.
In December, they're releasing two new sets that included either a "ROTF Prime Blue" Rollar with the larger blue LED gun with special adapter to fit MP Prime/Convoy, or Rollar in Nemesis Black with new red LED gun, also with the adapters to fit MP Prime/Convoy. No word yet on the costs for those sets.
