First, daimchoc has found a video review by YouTube member doubble80. Check out the embeds below.
Second, Sabrblade brings us some potentially unfortunate news by way of fellow fansite the Allspark. It appears Jet Vehicon may be joining Breakdown and Gaia Unicron as Takara exclusives.
Sabrblade wrote:Remember when we found out that the Transformers: Prime Voyager Breakdown and Voyager Gaia Unicron would be TakaraTomy exclusive figures? Well it looks as though the Deluxe Jet Vehicon figure might be joining their ranks. The Jet Vehicon figure was recently released in Japan, and Allspark.com user Powered Convoy has both acquired one and taken a photo of the figure's copyright information. Much like the Breakdown figure, the Jet Vehicon figure only contains copyright info from Tomy, rather than from both Tomy and Hasbro like the other figures shared between the two.
For comparison, here's Prime Voyager Breakdown's copyright information (also taken by Powered Convoy), which also lacks info from Hasbro.

It's not any particular lack of things, we get a grand majority...but the things we don't get are thing things we've been clamoring for! Seriously Hasbro... =_=
What Voyager do we want most? Breakdown! Do we get him? Proooobably not. We *might* get the Silas retool/redeco, which would be wonderful, but he'll be as he appears...whenever he appears again in the show (inhabited by Silas), which will feature a different chest/grill, head, and primarily black color scheme.
And the second now is Jet Vehicon. There's every reason to think it will sell (it's a freaking troop-builder for pete's sake), but apparently Hasbro didn't want to bother.
There's also Unicron, but I didn't really expect us to get it. Of course, I'm going to be quite annoyed if Unicron not only turns up again, but combines with Megatron/Optimus like he was in the initial images we saw.

After getting AM04 Ratchet, I concluded that I don't like the stickers and my favorite Micron wasn't so great.
No reason for me to get this (and Breakdown for that matter) if it remains an Arms Micron exclusive.

It's price point and size seems to be of the Ultra scale, but Hasbro's just too lazy to work it in.

It does look bigger than a Voyager, but online retailers have him priced the same as Darkness Megatron and other AM Voyagers. I'm stoked for that figure.

Normal AM Voyagers (SS, Breakdown, Bulkhead, etc.) are cheaper than both Darkness Megatron and Unicorn.

Actually, only a few voyagers in TT's line have had that higher price point. Darkness Megatron, War Breakdown, and Gaia Unicron all have higher prices than other voyagers in the line (including Swerve and Breakdown Silas, who share the same mold with Breakdown). I guess Breakdown's higher cost is to offset initial use of the mold, and Darkness Megatron comes with two freaking huge Arms Microns. Unicron's cost might be because it uses a lot of plastic, hence a larger size.

I didn't think Hasbro released the FE Vehicon did they? Or are they only going to release it now that they're re-releasing the FE's and that's what you were referring to?

At SDCC, the FE Vehicon was shown among the seven FEs that are coming to TRU later this year. Notice that I omitted Bumblebee and Cliffjumper since they aren't a part of the 2012 release of the FEs? 2011 only had three Deluxe FEs come to TRU, but 2012 will have all of them minus BB and CJ.xyl360 wrote:I didn't think Hasbro released the FE Vehicon did they? Phase one is the hard part, why stop there? They must be following the Underpants Gnomes business model.

That's not really any better than anywhere else. It'd be great if I had a big order to make with them. Otherwise single orders with them are never really cost effective.

when the vocal minority have been moaning that Jet Vehicon is just a vehicon with wings on 'its an easy pass...' 'thats just lazy...' etc etc, soon as it looks like its takara only 'its a crime! we demand this toy! youre wasting money not selling it to us! now i cant find it anywhere...'etc. the second people think theyre not going to get it they instantly must have it. we're an odd bunch and i doubt theres a world shortage, good hunting guys
i preordered mine 3 months ago. came today, love it, plan on hunting down a second. i know a lot of you guys love to hunt things down at your local store but seriously, preorders!
and as for army building... collectors do that, children really dont, thats not justification for hasbro to release it

I always check what the totals are on BBTS tfsource and RK and now ehobbybase and RK and ehobbybase are always about $5 cheaper and I get my figures in hand before BBTS and tfsource even have theirs in stock. My jet vehicon shipped on Thursday and I got it on Monday from hong kong and it allows me to get my reviews up first even know I still don't do numbers like peaugh and obtibotimus but maybe one day lol
