Maybe I'm doing a quick conversion in my head wrong, but that seems kinda pricey, no?ZeroWolf wrote:Battle Master Pteraxadon - 900 yen

Wat your seeing is MSRP from Takara not the price retaillers will sell it for in Japan (like Amazon and such).
That price will be more like
Micromasters Red Heat and Stakeout - 1,300 yen
Deluxe Chromia - 2,500 yen
Deluxe Prowl - 2,500 yen
Voyager Soundwave - 3,850 yen
Thats more or less the same as what they will cost here (give or take depending exchange).

AH, that makes more sense, since the unification things have cost basically the same in both territories. Thanks.william-james88 wrote:Thats more or less the same as what they will cost here (give or take depending exchange).

The retail prices between companies were also the same prices in previous lines. Even with difference decos toys in the TAV line cost the same in Japan as RID toys in the US.
The reason we couldnt do such an easy comparison in the legends line, right before the unification, is because Takara releases in the gen line included different things like extra titan masters and accessories, or targetmasters.
But generally, the same toys cost as much in relative markets. Whether they were the same deco or not.

Then, after work today, I stopped by the Target that's a bit out of my way, the one where I found Power of the Primes Leader Optimal Optimus a few weeks ago, and they finally had something from Siege. I got myself the entire first wave of the Micro Masters tonight! Siege is finally starting to trickle into the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.
I would have loved to have found the Deluxes or Voyagers, but this is a start, at least. It could have just as easily been the Battle Masters, which would have been a bit of a bummer, since all I want from the first wave of that size class is Lionizer.
I've found the Battle Masters and Micro Masters in the Chicago area so far. I want the deluxes and above more, but I'm actually glad I found the little fellas first as I had some time to fool around with them and enjoy them before they will likely get overlooked once the deluxes are in hand.
Fun extra bit, the Race Patrol "cars being naughty" gun is reversible. Both of them have a waist swivel so you can have either Roadhandler or Swindler on top.
That sounds bad doesn't it?
I just tried this now and never realized Roadhandler's waist could rotate. Pro tip, unpeg the arms to make things easier, the gun actually works better reversed.

Well that was specifically what I was talking about, when the legend figures came with remolding, different decos and/or extra accessories. I couldn't really remember the prices, apple for apple before then.william-james88 wrote:The reason we couldnt do such an easy comparison in the legends line, right before the unification, is because Takara releases in the gen line included different things like extra titan masters and accessories, or targetmasters.carytheone wrote:AH, that makes more sense, since the unification things have cost basically the same in both territories. My point ultimately is that regardless of the price paid, all territories are getting the same figure. One could make an argument before for paying the "Takara premium (shipping included)" and now that temptation is gone. I don't have to stress over which figure to get and just pick it up at retail.

Not sure how credible it is, cause I can't find the original source, but here's the link to a tweet with it: https://twitter.com/damnyouwillis/status/1068499686351355905. Like I said, not sure of it's actual credibility, but I figured it might be worth mentioning in the thread

Trademark retemtion, or has the typo fairy struck again?

Just a typo
Just a head's up for everyone: Greenlight, the Firestormers and Skywarp are exclusives most likely since they're listed separate from the already known items, and two of the three are "off-size". With that, I'm confident Slamdance is a retool of Skytread/Flywheels, with them sharing vehicle modes.

Personally, I'm kinda hoping that Slamdance goes a similar route to Battletrap, where Raindance and Grand Slam have their individual modes, the combined mode, but instead of individual robot modes, they also get a cassette mode that's compatible with Blaster from TR. Or, at least semi-compatible

Slamdance with probably just be a redeco (if not a head retool) of Battletrap.Sentinel_Primal wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Skywrap.

If we're going to speculate, we should have choices. A simple Skytread redeco is probably the more plausible theory, though.

I'm quite interested in the second listing, though. It looks like a 3-Pack at least. I'm guessing Sideswipe will be in his G2 color scheme. Slamdance is most likely a Flywheels/Skytread retool/repaint. The only problem with that is that the jet part of Slamdance should be the "pants" and the tank part the "shirt." That's the opposite of Flywheels' combination scheme. Then there is a third item, starting with "Ai." What could that be? Does the Chinese text to the right give us a better idea? Can anyone translate?
Skywarp is not a surprise, considering we're getting Starscream and Thundercracker in WfC, but what does "Battle Pack" mean? What extra goodies will he come with?

...um, the English on that chart seems to state there are 2 Leader Primes: a SS DotM Leader Prime, and the previously discussed Siege Leader Optimus.
The fact that that 3-pack is specifically called out as a FIRESTORMER pack, combined with the presence of Greenlight, is unusual though. Do we think those are actually Selects figures with combiner capacity intact for at least Greenlight and Sideswipe? Also, given the retail G1 Sideswipe, is that Sideswipe going to be G2 colored?
Slamdance sounds interesting/exciting, I was hoping they'd use the Duocon engineering to make those cassette combiners.

Woops.
And Greenlight being a combiner? I'm... torn. Chromia and Moonracer/Novastar technically only share engineering plus a few minor parts, it could go either way.

Then what good is Brickseek? Or is Target's inventory system just THAT messed up?
Also, thanks for the DPCI's, Hellscream9999. I tried those and, you're right, the assortment codes don't give any better results than the individual codes.
RodimusConvoy13 wrote:Those never come up in a google search.
I can attest to such as well. All that comes up in a Google search is the individual product DPCI's, no matter what Transformers website you try.

That sucks if true. What's the real harm in Brickseek for Target? I guess they're worried that they won't get collectors to search all their stores and buy a stupid throw pillow instead if they don't find the figure they're looking for?
I tried Target.com, but they don't have the Siege figures listed yet. Though, doing a search for "Transformers Siege" brought up a whole host of things I'd never guess you could order through Target.com. Takara Transformers Legends figures! They've got a bunch of them! Of course, they're online only, but still. Is Target partnering with an importer now or something?
EDIT: It turns out they're partnering with TFSource!

Initially, I didn't see them on the shelf, because they were NOT with the normal Transformers section. They were in one of those weird short endcap things close by. They also had a bunch of that Studio Series Bumblebee 2-Pack. I might have to go back tomorrow and check a few stores again just in case they also have special endcaps for Siege. The Micro Masters I found in a different Target earlier this week were in the proper Transformers section, though. To all others who have found Siege figures so far in Target stores, where were they located? In the normal Transformers spot or in a different spot?

Well, turns out I had them connected wrong, basically just laying down robot. Form the 2 separate vehicles and then use the small tab on Grommet to attach to Whosits. I usually don't read the instructions for TFs, to give my aging brain a little workout; occasionally is not so good.
Thanks for the input!
