Whilst I'm not overly concerned with getting him, I hope there's still going to be an individual Arms Micron release for Unicron for those who don't want to have to buy yet another Prime.

You are not the only one. I just can't make this work in my head. Given the events of the series I wouldn't even say combining with Megatron makes sense. I can't imagine Unicron allowing himself to be used as armour or weapons for one of his rival's puny creations.
Unicron didn't have an alt-mode. Takara improvised. Takara failed.

I said it would be Prime and Unicron teaming up for god only knows what reason and combining. HA!
Original post:
"Maybe, just maybe this hints at Unicron deciding he does love his babies (humanity) and giving Optimus a midseason upgrade to help save humanity from something.
Because Unicron/Prime team up would be epic on levels unheard of.
Also Unicron might be a triple changer, I defiantly see two modes that helpful arrow is pointing to."

Ya, its not in Unicrons character at all. I thought he had some sort of flying ship alt mode... or hovercraft or some crap. If the armour is the only alt mode he gets, it'll be easier to pass on this.

The initial images of him showed a hovercraft/tank alt mode, fairly similar to Cybertron Unicron.

Haha I felt the same. Blurr is a pretty big car though, but BB is def atleast the smallest standard. Thankfully the Vehicon figure is just so amazing, it can get away with it.

It really is a shame NitroBee is so much smaller. He could have been such an awesome alternate rendition of the character and Axcelerator homage. That said, I like him, he's fun, he's just not spectacular.

That's a really good idea. I'm going to do that on my display shelf when they both arrive.
Anyways this line has way way more Decepticons than Autobots, the first of many as in the case of many other lines, my Autobots always outnumbered the Decepticons.

And suddenly we have a theory that makes sense. I mean, Megatron has a handful of Prime-equippable-only artifacts after all, and Unicron will be weak for the time being, he needs a body. And who better than Prime? In fact, what better TOOL than that forging hammer to fix Unicron properly??

Ya, that works well enough, but the figure doesn't really seem like Unicron is possessing Prime. It looks more like Prime found a way to diassemble Unicron and reassemble him into a weapon for his own use. Lets face it; Has/Tak can't get enough of Prime and pretty much give him everything - Power armour, his own metroplex like city former.
But hey, I won't bum out the resta ya any further for those who are genuinely into the idea.

This, or the inverse of the situation... to deal with some kind of cosmic threat, Optimus uses the power of the Primes (stored within the Matrix) to reformat one of Unicron's avatars into a sort of makeshift power armor (much as was done with Jetfire's body in Revenge of the Fallen)...

Really? I thought Unicron hated the humans because they were parasites.
Then again, I also thought that Optimus Prime wanted some Cybertronian lovin' from Unicron, when he made his Vash the Stampede-like speech about love and peace.

I am with you on this. I mean while PRIME as a whole (as in English and Japanese) is my #2 series, I don't like how lazy Takara Tomy was when it comes to their "Arms Microns" line.
The animation for the tie-in is so bad that it makes Rescue Robots go from a kiddie show to something like what Studio Ghibli would have done in one of their commercials. The stickers should have been tampographs for most of the characters, as Arcee's is reported to have it really bad with hers.
Oh, and if you do decide to get a Unicron from this series, consider getting AM-19 Gaia Unicron. He is currently on preorder at TFsource with the price of $64.95. $68.95 if you are one of those collectors who prefer having it in a "mint" box. It will not come with AM-01 Optimus Prime as this item will, but it might be a better deal if you just want Unicron.

Imagine if they were to make a new series with the combination gimmick in the veins of Superlink/GalaxyForce, and in the midpoint of the story you'd get wacky stuffs like Starscream in Magnus Armor or an Optimus/Megatron gattai into MegaConvoy.

It's really Mythical God-Autobot combination, considering the fact that Unicron resides with either faction, and the Decepticons are merely his disciples, but I get your point.guarayakha wrote:Story-wise this teamup doesn't really make any sense, but I'm liking the concept of a Decepticon+Autobot combination.

Problem NOT solved. In the Prime Cartoon, Nemesis Prime is a human creation. Unicron HATES the humans. Called them parasites, or somthing like that.

While created by humans, Nemesis itself is not human. Unicron pairing himself up with a human creation would likely insult Unicron more. There are about a half dozen humans who know of Unicrons exsistance, compared to the 7 billion wandering around on earth. Not much of an insult. MEANWHILE, the god of chaos (Keyword: GOD) has to resort to teaming up with a human creation, created to resemble a direct decendent of his greatest enemy. Sorry, takara droped the ball (as usual).

You act like there would be some sort of teamwork involved in this. FYI, Unicron's no team player. He'd be one in the driver's seat, possessing the Nemesis unit and turning it against its creators. Nemesis is a non-living entity. Unicron could easily turn it into one of his own minions just as he does to other lesser beings. Plus, this Gaia Unicron toy does not represent Unicron himself, but one of his dirt-based avatars. In a sense, Unicron would be using a puppet controlling another puppet since he no longer possesses a corporeal form of his own. Unicron is the ultimate puppet master who takes what isn't his and twists and taints it into something ugly for his own gain. So what if he hate humans? He hate Primus' children (the Transformers, which include the Decepticons) yet still uses them just like he would use Nemesis.Dr. Heavy B wrote:Sabrblade wrote:While created by humans, Nemesis itself is not human. But Unicron would be forced to use a, lets call NP a thing, of human design. The fact is, Unicron would never use the tools of lesser creatures. Also, why on earth would he NEED to. He can create a dozen hundred foot dirt avatars of himself. Combining with a human machine would be pointless. Combining with ANYTHING would be pointless, but especially a machine of human design. Also, while Unicron may hate all Cybertronians, he holds a special hatred for "Primes". You saw how he reacted to finding out Optimus Prime was still alive.

At full power, yes, but Unicron just got beaten to a pulp. He won't be doing ANYTHING without some sort of help for some time.

But, suppose he wanted a herald to do his dirty work for him while he's in his dormant state post-season 1. And suppose, at this point, he wasn't picky and, through some means, got a hold of the Nemesis unit and created a living herald from it. Then he'd make it so this new minion of his could power up with the assistance of any of his dirt avatars when necessary.
All the more reason to twist and corrupt the image of a Prime into a hideous abomination that defies and insults the very nature of a Prime. It's Unicron. He wouldn't choose to period. Not when there is Megatron, who had already been partially corrupted by Dark Energon

And in another japanese cartoon, that will go nameless for obvious reasons, Unicron can create planets he destroyed, or somthing like that. This is me, ignoring the japanese shows.

But that would be beyond ignoring the charicter of Unicron. I can't think of a situation where he would choose to. But even if he DID want to (so unlikely, its impossible), how would he do it? Unicron has been shown to corupt through dark energon, NP hasn't had any exposure to the element. Megatron HAS.

Universe Nemisis Prime wasn't created by humans. If unicron wanted to go that far, he may as well try to corrupt the genuine article.

Gaia Unicron. Not Dark, Lord, Dark Lord, or Dark God Unicron, but Gaia...this implies to me that our lovable giant robo-daddy Unicron may have been "influenced" (in the same way Scourge and Starscream in the past have been) by the Matrix. Possibly he goes good temporarily due to being forcibly turned good by the Matrix (aka Primus and the Primes of the Past).
Then he gets mad goes bad and b**ch slaps Miko into the next dimension and we all rejoice.

How does "Gaia" imply "good"? It just refers to his being inside the Earth and using dirt to create duplicates of himself.WarzoneBeta wrote:Look guys I'm sure this will all be explained when it is released. That said I'd like to direct your attention to a little detail.
