Seibertron is comin at you with another slew of Takara Tomy Transformers Adventure figures, opened and in hand courtesy of blogger Alfes2010. Up first is the first two versus packs, TAV VS-01 Bumblebee VS Steeljaw, and TAV VS-02 Grimlock VS Rollbar. The only one here that really stands apart is Rollbar (or Gregevor) who is a drastic turn coat repaint of StrongArm. Next we have TAV-07 Roadblock who is hauntingly familiar to G1 Decepticon Scrapper and shares his body from last years Generations figure Scoop. Alfes follows this up with two Transformers Animated alumni TAV-09 Swoop and TAV-10 Slag. While Swoop is fairly similar to his original counterpart, Slag appears to be sporting the Age of Extinction color scheme. Scroll down to see the pics, and stay tuned to Seibertron.com for more updates to the TAV line!

Gregevor? Is that just a new, really funny name or is that A REFERENCE I am just NOT getting? Also, what is with that terrible sticker application? But, seriously, Gregevor? I swear, if that isn't the name for a cannibal who only eats guys named Greg then I'm a monkey's uncle.

Steeljaw looks nice, but not nice enough for me to buy a second version of the toy (if I need mine to have eyebrows I will do it myself). The Scoop, Swoop and Snarl repaints are actually pretty awesome. I may get those?

Think Greejeeber from Car Robots, aka RiD Rollbar.

Earlier today, fellow Seibertronian, Shajaki, posted a news article featuring in hand shots of the Takara Tomy version of Robots In Disguise, Transformers Adventure (or TAV) and now we have even more images of the figures and ones yet to see release at this year's Anime Japan Expo!

Autobase Aichi's Facebook page currently features a sizeable number of images from the Anime Japan 2015 Expo in which Transformers Adventures seems to have taken center stage in this year's Transformers display. Also of note, QTransformers and Masterpiece Star Saber are both on display as well. (Masterpiece Star Saber is currently shipping from US e-tailers (and Seibertron.com sponsors) BBTS and The Chosen Prime. You can click on either sponsor's name to be taken directly to the ordering page.)

We've mirrored several of the images here, and you can check out the full gallery of images in it's entirety over on the Autobase Aichi Facebook page.

Darn, they still didnt show that mysterious alternate deco for the steeljaw mold (either called snarl or wolf).

"Snarl" is actually a possibility, as Animated Snarl has been redecoed into Slug for the line.

It is an amazing mold and if that "Snarl" is in a nice new colour scheme I will buy it in a heartbeat. I am dreaming of it done up in brown and tan, akin to Wolverine's coolest costume.

Fair warning though, as you can maybe see with the link, that deco (like Gregevor) is only available in a two pack.

Disappointed that those big garish circle insignias are being used by Takara, even though their QR-like function seems not to have been incorporated.

Probably to save money, they'll release a figure with a normal color scheme (Grimlock, then one with a different one (Gregevor). SO figure this'll have Strongarm with either a Cybertron Snarl or G1 Weirdwolf repainted Steeljaw.

Actually, Gregevor is available separately, as number TAV08. I expect the same to happen with "Snarl" here.

I believe and I could be wrong about this, but I think those are fake stickers over the real ones to keep people from scanning the figures in the package without purchasing them.

I'm kind of okay with a two-pack. Oddly enough I'm growing to like Strongarm and I would be far more willing to get her with a recolor of a killer mold than without.

Uh, there's a perfectly :BOT: Strongarm in the line. Are you confused with the repaint "Gregevor" as a new Decepticon character? Gregevor isn't replacing Strongarm.

Fellow Transformers and Seibetron.com fan Matt Daniele, contacting us from Japan, has recently acquired a Takara Tomy Transformers Adventure TAV07 Roadblock, the G1-Constructicon-esque green and purple deco (in fact a G2 callback to its predecessor) of the Generations Deluxe Scoop figure, and has shared images with us all. Check them out below!

Erh... Even if the targetmaster is better painted than Scoop's Nerf Guns,I find that deco pretty boring and an easy pass. Also, only ONE tragetmaster.

The only reason to get that one is if you missed out on Scoop and you prefer a Constructicon reject. Seriously, Roadblock year the colors but he never made it into the team. He keep wearing the Constructicon's colors, hoping to be part of the legendary team. He's the ultimate and somewhat pathetic fanboy. His targetmaster is actually his therapist, trying to make him give up on his impossible dream and go back to being a normal, well ajusted 'con trooper.

I really like the Scoop mold but the Hasbro version looked ugly in its colors. I think this is a cool alternative, but I lament the fact he only has one targetmaster. Did Takara do a nice looking Scoop? God, my back-collecting is getting expensive. ..

What was wrong with his colors? It's almost identical to his G1 self.

This would have been better homage if they did the G2 colors, given him a double missile launcher. Save the Targetmaster for another exclusive.

While accurate, the toy looks tacky and eye-gougingly bright. I think the mold is cool, but I passed over it multiple times in store because I don't really like how bright it is.

True. But most construction vehicle toys were made bright for kids...ie Tonka trucks.

I get your point, the 80s comics did used a more darker color scheme as their pallet, the new Generations one would have been more realistic as well:

Because there isn't one in Aligned (yet)? Transformers Adventure is directly based on Robots in Disguise 2015, which is a sequel to Prime. Even though we may get some G1 guys in the Adventure line, this Roadblock isn't one of them.

I dont think a symbol is necessarily linked to a toyline. The generations toyline had several different symbols for instance.

I was actually referring to fiction (except for the G1 guys part).

I've also noticed that only RiD 2015 molds have those scanable insignia, not the redecos of older molds.

It depends on the type of toy line. Despite how it looks, Adventure is still a cartoon line, not a multigenerational line like Generations, Universe, United, or whatever. If he was sold as a Legends figure (and I don't understand why he wasn't) he most likely would have had a G2 symbol, but as an Adventure figure he has to stick to their specific lore.

Actually, Roadblock does have a scan code insignia. It's on the top of his shovel in alt mode, not in the middle of his robot mode chest where you see instead a standard Decepticon tampograph.
