iTunes has posted their early sneak peek at the next issue for IDW Publishing's Transformers: Regeneration One #93. Check out the mirrored pages below.

Shows how much of a difference the choice of inker makes.
I met Steven Baskerville, Andy Wildman, Geoff Senior and Furman on Saturday.
Bunch of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Got Andrew to pencil my sketch cover for issue 92 and Stephen to ink it. The man is an inking machine and is definitely his style that's keeping the change of penciler from changing the feel of the book.

I have to agree, I was amazed that this wasn't Andrew's work. I think it is a mixture of Guido trying to not make the transition from one artist to another too jarring, and Baskerville has done a phenomenal job with the ink work as well. I was really worried when the change of artist was announced, but this has been handled well. Much better than the UK issues which would go from Jeff Anderson to, say, Dan Reed.

True, whenever I want to explain to people what an inker brings to the table I show them the last page of issue #69 of the old Transformers marvel run, and the first page of issue #70. Basically, Andrew drew the same image, but one is inked by (I think) Harry Candelario, while the other is inked by Stephen Baskerville. The difference couldn't be more profound
That being said, Guido is a master at adapting to the specific needs of a book, so I'm sure he is also working hard to keep changes to a minimum. He's definitely my favorite among the current crop of TF artists.
