Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Swindle, and a bot that looks a lot like Optimus Prime. Looks good.

Front Paged and Credited.

Thanks for the links, I love all the comic artwork uncluttered by speech bubbles.

Hey, is that Optimus on page 6?

That's what I was thinking.

Would they call him Optimus or Orion? Or Optronix, though that was a DW thing.

It's got to be Prime (or whatever they are going to call him), and his "brother" Ultra Magnus is standing directly behind him.

A bit funny that so many G1 Autobots are all there standing next to one another.

Can anyone tell what the names on the coffins are?

But he isn't Prime right now. Sentinel is.

And the names of the two dead bots are Fastback (the red one) and...well...the name of the other bot (the yellow oen) was never said though in issue 3 it might.

That's why I said "whatever they are going to call him". He could be Optimus, Optronix or Orion, as you pointed out.

I'm pretty sure the the yellow 'Bots coffin says "Bumper" But don't quote me on that, just looks like that to my eyes.

Also do Prime and Magnus remind anyone else of Armada Prime in design?

Notice Prime has his arm around Elita One, too.

I'm looking forward to reading this complete and in one shot.

I'm still kind of a recent comic novice, but I know most other TF universes well.

So without bashing what I have yet to experiance, I'm just gonna say that from what I've seen here, I can see why some fans are feeling somewhat let down here.

 Looks amazing! Hook's "repair shop" and the Autobot's funeral are my favorite pages. Only one thing bugs me: why do Soundwave (or any Transformer for that matter) have to knock on a door to enter a building? Don't they have any sensors on those doors that detect energy signatures or anything like that? :???: Maybe I I have an over active imagination (and nothing better to do) :P, but still I wonder.

Oooh very nice...I now have a new desktop background (Page 6).

I also know where I'm going as soon as I get my paycheck on Friday. Hopefully my local Comic Book Store has held a copy of this and OP Spotlight for moi.

Damn stoopid American Public Holidays :-x

I went down to my comic shop today during lunch (today is Thursday too by the way) and due to a Public Holiday in the US, Australian Comic stores wont get there orders in until Friday, possibly Saturday.

No Megatron Origins for me until Monday at the earliest. :-x

oh boy oh boy oh boy ! My name in neon letters !

Okay, enough of that.

Looks like Megatron is making himself a best-of of warrior abilities. Nicely creepy, that.

It's a very stupid holiday. On labor day we all have the day off....what? We have to have a holiday every two weeks it seems, so the banks and the post office is closed. GRR!!

Well, atleast those with a good job, benifits, and a 401k get the day off. The rest of us who do more menial or labor intensive jobs. We get jipped on mail, makes no sense to me. Oh well, 'se la vi'

Is Soundwave using his rub sign on the first page?

Definitely Orion Pax on that picture (the next page shows him from the front and he has no faceplate) He's coupled with Elita-1 (???) and standing next to Alpha Trion.

I didn't notice Magnus. Good spot, that guy.

This mini series is awesome!! I am really enjoying the character development here and yes we saw Optimus and Magnus's preforms along with some others. Once again awesome!!!

I'm not loving this mini series as much as I was looking forward to it.

I find "mini" is a far to apt word - for me it reminds me off those "last week on..." you get at the begining of shows like Battle Star Galactica, you know - quick snippits and then it moves on. This would have been better being expanded on and put into a few more issues.

Also, every issue of this origin series there are a number of pages that I find it very hard to figure out exactly what is happening and who is saying what and this issue has been no exception. It's been a major factor in reducing my enjoyment of it.

im not mocking the origin series i really like the series so far espically the magtron issues cant wait for the tade paper back but after looking at the megatron orgine issues this is exactly how i pictured the origin issues would turn out.

oops forget what i said i got the transformers spotlight series mixed up with the megatron origin seires my fault if this does well i wouldnt mind seeing other orgin series to be released if thae character is good.

The only thing is I wish the colorist wouldn't use such dark colors or so many shadows on the art. I like to see as much detail on the characters as possible.

Writing, it's intriguing, I like the idea of Megatron disliking the idea of murder at first. That he and Prime started out pretty much the same.

The first cover of Starscream has part of the fuselage extending from his waist just like MP Starscream.
