If Takara secured the rights, then Omega Supreme reissue would even more sweeter than Sky Lynx reissue. I'm looking forward to it. However, a Shockwave reissue would be the sweetest of them all.

That would be correct. I heard a rumor that Takara did buy the toy company who made those in the late 80's.

I have one in great shape with the box, and I count myself as very lucky!

Still, I hope this is true so that everyone that doesn't can get their hands on this very unique figure. His Transformation is pretty basic, but the details in the features are great.

On a side note, I finaly got a G1 SixShot today(sadly it only took about 9 minutes to figure out all 6 modes, plus the WingedWolf, and some others that I made up myself.

But anyhow, and I know he was already reissued, but wouldn't it be cool if they did some retooling on some of these figures to improve things like the general posing and whatnot. I don't see any reason why this guy can't have elbows and hip joints?

If I'm not mistaken, I don't think Sky Lynx was ever released by Takara or in Japan.

Great news but it is possible Hasbro will never release this here. And if they do, it will take them a couple of years. I would of prefered them to release it here. Didn't have to pay a steeper price for it and an additional for shipping. When will Hasbro ever wise up along with all of humanity?

I hope this is true! While I'm more hoping that he gets updated in Classics (or, dare I say it, in Animated, haha), it would definitely be the first ReIssue I'd buy. I loved SkyLinx as a kid and would love (and appreciate) him more as an adult!!

If true I'll grab two so I can display him in seperate and combined robot modes. Sweetness.

I hope this is true. I've never owned sky lynx before so this would be a welcome addition.

If it's true then all I have to say is Happy Happy Joy Joy! That rocks I always wanted him. But I won't get my hopes up until it is official.

there are plenty of figures i would have preferred to be reissued before sky lynx. However, if this is true, i wont turn my nose up to far. If nothing else it gives me hope for more characters in the future.

I'd prefer a Takara reissue even if it costs a bit more. The quality will be better and we won't have to worry about any silly modifications.

Hm ... I have some reservations about the truth to this. Sky Lynx is not an original Transformers mold. It's another one of those toys from another toy company. This seems really unlikely to me unless some deal had been worked out. Here's his copyright from Toybox:

i bought an original mint sky lynx (unapplied stickers, no yellowing and electronics still worked) for $30. while this is nice, i will wait for omega if they get the rights to him. if.

While not my namesake- this is like an evil (good) twin. Very excited. I had one when I was sooo tiny- and the day after I got him, he was stepped on.

He was made of such cheap plastic- he broke and broke and broke. All that remains now is his head.

Please let this be true.

This is great news if it's true.

Takara likes to keep things underwrap for as long as possible. In addition, the Transformers Movie has overshadowed many of the other lines; so it makes sense that information is just coming out now for a New Year's release.
