Also, we have images of their Premier Voyager Prime courtesy of the Japan Toysrus website. It appears to be a Toysrus Exclusive (like the White Voyager Prime from the last film). It too shows barely any improvement over the Hasbro version and is priced at ¥ 4,499 ($40 USD!). While this may confuse many, please remember that when it comes to mainline movie toys, the Takara version of Hasbro toys rarely offers much improvement. Any major improvement is usually done through a special distinctive subsequent release. This has been the case since 2007. This should also dispel any misconceptions that the price of Takara products is related to their deco. Unlike Age of Extinction, the Takara movie line for The Last Knight will have all toys under the same TLK banner, mixing in simpler and more complex toys. The date given for TLK 01-08 is an end of April release.
And here is Hasbro's Premier Bee for comparisons,

To sell toys. I liked the ninja look, but the door wings suit him so much more

Based on the fact that Bee blasts him in the trailer, I think he's still bad.
But maybe he had to attempt to blend in better, and "to punish and enslave" was a bit too obvious.
Or maybe he's "protecting and serving" Megatron. remember: "keep calm and all hail Megatron"

The fact that Barricade during filming has been chasing Bee and otherwise been seen only with Cons during non action scenes in the filming proves he is just as bad as he once was.
He still has "Punished and Enslaved" on vehicle mode although in some point during filming the motto was changed to "Keep calm and hail Megatron" which probably happens later in the film also his elbows have "Punish and Enslave" on them as well
The only reason he has Protect and Serve on his knuckles is so it can be ironic that he is beating up Autobots with the words Protect and Serve and ever since 2007 Barricade's whole Police thing is supposed to be ironic since Barricade is an evil and vile Decepticon who enjoys hurting others.

we were also referring to the packaging art, which has "to protect and serve" on it several times, both in knuckles and in alt mode kibble

Yes but I was talking about the knuckle dusters although I did not notice the protect and serve stuff being on his armor on first viewing I see it now though during the filming the only logos on him that we were able to see on him were "Punish and Enslave" and the "Keep calm and hail Megatron" motto that was spotted later in filming.
So if Barricade make a heel face turn it wont be till the end of the movie but I doubt he will since this is just package art, Cade has his con logos anyways and I can and will point out that the Optimus in the packaging art is inaccurate to how he appears in the trailers for this film and the end of AOE Optimus is missing the Knight upgrades that he gets from pulling the sword in AOE for example his knight gauntlet arms are gone in this promotional image yet he has them in the TLK trailers.

Always and forever. Especially when I can't stop staring at them for hours.

It's the classic "Sell as many Bee's as we can" marketing strategy.
Only realistic reason I can think of.

Guess so. Aoe's two deluxe Bees were different molds that served different purposes, at least. I would've preferred something like that in this case.

I wasn't really sold on Barricade's new look at first (solid design but I missed old Barry) but I've warmed to it now.
I loved AoE Bee's design and was disappointed he's reverted back to his old form though updated, but I'm with that now too.
I'm glad Prime's still in AoE Knight design. I loved his look from the first three films but we've had enough toys of that now, and it's hard to top the RotF Leader mold or Battle Blade and Evasion molds of that robot mode. I'm keen on getting this new TLK Voyager figure.

WreckerJack wrote:I always wonder how Hasbro got away with those pentagrams on Bumblebee. I know they are stars but I remember people always accusing cartoons of having pentagrams or other symbols in them for no reason other than to stir the pot.
It seems like the 'perpetually offended' and 'moms with nothing better to do' crowds pay more attention to video/tabletop games and books to make up things to freak out over. Or maybe they're scared of messing with Michael Bay.

If it's exactly the same figure they'd probably just reissue the original AD31 straight up. I'm guessing this one will be painted differently, probably based on the purple-eyed version from the movie.

I too think it will be a redeco of that mold.

And they even happen to be the same as the hasbro releases, giving even less variety to this line.

I think Beserker has a bit of red hue in the legs that the Hasbro one doesn't have, but I think that's the only real visible difference

Yup, the only difference in all of wave 1 is a few red bits on the legs of Berserker. Everything else is the same.

Optimus Prime's Age Of Extinction shield will also be a giveaway item later in the Summer. If you are lucky enough to get one of these swords make sure you keep the ticket that comes with it. Those who do will be able to obtain a "Clear File" which is a clear plastic file folder featuring Transformers artwork on it.
In the Fall Optimus' Dark of the Moon axe will become a promotional item, a bonus for those who got the shield. Make sure to keep those tickets someplace safe so you won't miss out!
Unfortunately, these giveaways are only for Japan. If you live in the US the new Transformers The Last Knight toys will hit stores Monday, April 24th!

They are pretty much the same price as the US or Canada. That's not counting shipping, obviously.
Sigh... Guess I'll wait for a clearance sale for Hound.

That's usually the case with the initial waves. It's a bit later down the line that TakaraTomy offers "premium decos".

But their AOE line had different/superior decos to Hasbro's from the get go.
It looks like they are going back to the method of the first film where both companies released the same toys.
