This toy is now available for preorder almost everywhere since it is not an exclusive. The price is pretty good too. It is right now $38.99 on Pulse (link below) which means they are pricing the targetmaster at $5, so even cheaper than the original price point when this mold came out in the Siege line. Plus we have a look at the sticker sheet, meaning that these stickers are totally optional.

Somebody a few posts above was fearing the end of Selects simply because of there having not been any new leaks about any more forthcoming Selects as of late.sol magnus wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:He's up on Pulse now.
This isn't supposed to be the last Selects though, there's still Diaclone Blue Trailbreaker coming as far as we know.
What's this about Selects ending? I haven't seen anything said by Hasbro about that?

This one is Blowpipe's mold with a not-yet-used-before deco, Artfire's Nightstick was Firedrive's mold with a different deco because there's too many Nightsticks in G1. They are different.o.supreme wrote:I have every BattleMaster so far. I know the name Nightstick has been used, also all the humanoid decos start to all look the same. Is this one truly unique?
There's nothing to suggest Selects is ending, I'm just trying to correct the 2 articles that have now gone up saying "Cyclonus is the last 2022 Selects".sol magnus wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:He's up on Pulse now.

For me, this will rep the comics version of Cyclonus along with SS86 Sweep as my comics Scourge. For me, his Armada is the Universe deluxe Cyclonus.

Fair enough, but I think we can all agree Hasbro has definitely made their money's worth on these little guys

No argument there, and I wish they would release more with more vibrant decos. Maybe a third party will make stickers for the sweep?

I'm only doing toy deco Galvatron , Cyclonus and extra Sweep as Scourge are alternate universe versions brought in by Unicron for some shenanigans.

Are you tryin to imply we don't need another Cyclonus? O_O
I feel you. I do. But, hear me out ... this is the best one out of all of them.
Anyway, they recolored Scourge, Galavtron and just about everybody else, so why not Cyclonus? I kinda like that we're being given a B option, even if most people who wanted a Cyclonus likely already have him.

Hopefully that'll be something Toyhax'll churn out if they don't do a more toy-accurate version of Scourge. (As awkward as it'd be having 3 releases of the same toy with nigh-identical paint apps..., gonna require having a toy-based sticker sheet with Fracas to really make it worth it!)

I do have CW Cyclonus as well, but I think he will become my IDW rep. Once I get this Selects version in hand I'll compare and decide.

I still consider it a crime that Smashdown was used exactly once, no repaint at all. and she was by far the best one.

I wasn't. Rung got a repaint, and he was a very specific character.
Smashdown was the legit and by far best Battlemaster, and she deserved to get a purple repaint at least

More than their money's worth. They could've at LEAST made a new barrel piece or some attachment for Japanese Targetmaster action.

figureguy wrote:Since we normally know a few releases in advance does this mean the Selects line could be done? Figures in Legacy like Sandstorm and Buzzsaw are the types of characters that would have been perfect for Selects releases. We know there are going to be another 5 Shattered Glass but nothing about these. I have loved and bought all the releases so far but I hope it's not cancelled.
Sandstorm and Buzzsaw (along with Parasite and Nightprowler) were originally planned for Selects, but apparently Walmart wanted an exclusive so they ended up there instead. This is why Selects feels like it's going away, we suddenly had four Selects figures removed from the lineup with nothing to replace them. There's still one other we know is coming, blue Trailbreaker, but there's also the believed to be canceled Selects Clampdown which may have been uncanceled just to give us... something. There's also the problem that between whatever Walmart exclusives we get, Shattered Glass, and Buzzworthy Bumblebee we're really exceeding our repaint quota which doesn't leave much for Selects to do.
Gauntlet101010 wrote:But what's with that symbol? They couldn't measure out the one on his chest properly or something? Not that I'll apply any stickers.

These are very obviously early pre-production stickers that haven't been sized quite right. You can tell because they're supposed to be foil stickers which are super thin, but you can see a thickness to these stickers like they were printed on a label sheet from an inkjet printed.

Hi. Was just doing this reading on TFWiki
The Movie only show us 1, but S3 of the cartoon shows potential of 4, and possibly one in Dirge Colors (blue body with yellow wings). Other shots show two or three of his Armada so potential of multiples.
The Marvel Comics show at least one panel where there are a whole scrap ton of the Armada and Sweeps descending upon a planet. At least a half dozen silhouettes of them.
So depending on your preferred media, yes you need more than two

Like I said, they listed that as foil labels but these are far to thick to be the case. Most likely they're just something they printed in the office to represent the finished stickers.

I got me pre-order in ASAP. I now hope against hope for a Scourge with Fracasjust to round out the toy trio. I have Kingdom Galvatron and Cyclonus with Studios Series Scourge on my desk at the office and toy deco Galvatron at home, where this new Cyclonus will join him.

Blame bright light streaming in through me window in the morning and my being a crap photographer. I'll grab a better image tonight if I remember. I'm mildly surprised the site's news ain't picked it up as, according to my pre-order, we weren't expecting this figure until September!
Another thing I'll mention is that his shoulders and hips feel somewhat looser on this figure, which is annoying. He still holds a pose well, however.

Like I said, the shoulders are a bit loose, as are the hips but he holds his poses just as well. Loose joints on a figure this expensive is a bit of a shame though.
