Exactly what I was thinking. Those legs have to be hindered somewhat with all that stuff. But it looks good and it looks like the character though

Thrust has got some serious THUNDER THIGHS. Don't be hatin'. Big is beautiful too!

It's not even that, it's just a pair of plane wings duct-taped to his knees

I wasn't making any reference to any particular work. But, you do kind of miss how tongue-in-cheek a lot of my observations and comments are meant to be. If you see "winky" or some other special emoticon after a sentence or post of mine, it usually indicates that I'm just having a bit of fun.

I thought it was something along those lines, which is why I replied with a snarky remark

Oh god, yeah, those huge wings are just gonna be slapped onto his legs; but they could get tricky and give them articulated arms and connect them to the thigh plates

Diem don't give Takara any ideas or we'll end up with "toy accurate" versions of these guys at a later date just to milk the mold 3 more times!!!

The white face is right, but I don't know what's up with the black/dark gray parts clashing with the lighter gray parts. Should only be one shade of gray. I think the painted nosecone in vehicle mode at least creates the illusion (if you don't look between his legs) that it becomes Thrust's actual head in the figure, even though it's magically maroon in the cartoon in jet mode. Funny, that's a screen accuracy cheat they could have easily gotten away with if they wanted to.

That model sheet is digitally painted by fans incorrectly. The MP colour scheme is spot on.

Mine finally came back earlier this week. My package shipped out Tuesday. It was a loooong wait, but I'm happy to have a fixed sample for my collection. The QC'd MP Ramjets seem to be arriving at TFSource in waves, so I bet yours will arrive very soon. Good luck!

*Sigh* Looks like this non-MP collector is going to get another one... Thrust was always my favorite Conehead, though something about the "Bell Bottoms" of Dirge and Thrust appeals to me too.

Reservations now aside, I'm really loving him. The gruff look on his face, the colors, it's all great. Go figure though, the only two Seekers I had as a kid are the last to get the MP treatment

Yes, it is;
You can see here, it's hinged at the knee's
And you can see here, that there's nothing connecting it to the waist, so I'm afraid it is leg kibble

Twould be a switch from Prime Arcee's Conehead knees...
Transformers Prime: First Edition Arcee Gallery
(Saberblade found a pic a couple of years ago someone had done with the actual Conehead faces... I couldn't find it, though...)

Sigh, I didnt know it was also an "exclusive". I will wait for Hasbro to eventually release it, I dont care how long it takes.
For international buyers, Robot Kingdom has it for 150$ http://www.robotkingdom.com/tftrmp11nt.html

Every MP11 aside from Screamer has been exclusive and expensive so this is none too surprising.Sabrblade wrote:Given how Ramjet was, I figured all three of the "New Jetrons" would be.william-james88 wrote:Sigh, I didnt know it was also an "exclusive".

So of all the Seekers to use the MP11 mold, only Starscream was a standard release obtainable for 100$

Oh I know, but its still sad. When I spend money, I like knowing that it went to the toys, or to the shipping, to something, that the price is dependent on the cost of production. But now its expensive simply because Takara is letting Hasbro Asia be the only option to distribute it globally. So that extra money being spent is just profit for them. Its pretty much the same result as a scalper buying every single toy out there and charging more for it because no one else is selling it.
Posted by shajaki on June 10th, 2016 @ 10:24am CDT
But with that reasoning, how would you ever be able to buy figures that weren't standard retail releases? It's just the nature of exclusives.william-james88 wrote:shajaki wrote:Every MP11 aside from Screamer has been exclusive and expensive so this is none too surprising.Sabrblade wrote:Given how Ramjet was, I figured all three of the "New Jetrons" would be.william-james88 wrote:Sigh, I didnt know it was also an "exclusive".

Well, the money for that immense leg kibble has to come from somewhere, this is essentially three (Ramjet, thrust, dirge) new molds for each of these, all in unique colors, so they can't even be molded together... so it at least makes some sense, but, that does seem a little high...

Not really. Its different here. Hasbro MPs are TrU exclusives and I didnt have to spend extra. Same for platinums. And people in Japan buying from Takaratomymall arent paying 180$ US plus shipping. If this was a toy I really wanted, I wouldnt mind asking a japanese friend to get it for me in Japan and then ship it to me(if I had such resource). My cost would be the price of the figure, plus the shipping plus whatever fee this person would ask for this service. I would then be owning an exclusive figure.
But in this scenario, there is no middleman. The nature of exclusives is if something isnt available you are stuck paying more for middlemen, but Hasbro Asia isnt a middleman, they ar a partner. And this isnt an exclusive worldwide. Its only an exclusive in Japan. Worldwide, any other online retailer can carry it since they are buying from Hasbro Asia, which is the direct seller of this toy (not Takara).
So no, this is not an exclusive like others (non of these hasbro Asia MPs have been). No one buying this toy on BBTS is actualy buying the exclusive Japanese edition that can only be bought at TTMall. This is a non limited item available anywhere online and the direct provider (Hasbro Asia) is just taking a bigger cut than usual because there is no other option for fans to buy the Japanese edition (unlike say, the premium they usually charge for their version which isnt much, like with Shockwave its only 10$ more). In this case, there is no added costs to this being an exclusive, its not a third party company licensing a toy (like Fun Pub or Hero X), its not a mail order toy, its not a limited run, none of what usually goes with an exclusive, and thus I would not wish to pay anything more than Japanese retail plus shipping. I will just wait for a Hasbro release or a discount price.
In the end, people buying this on BBTS and not TTMall are spending more money on a less exclusive item.
Let me know if I am missing the mark or not being clear
PS: While it could be that part of the higher cost for getting the Hasbro Asia release over the Japanese release is that Hasbro Asia pays Takara a premium licensing fee to sell a Takara mold, thing still dont add up. Hasbro Asia SkyWarp and Thundercracker were 200$ while the two coneheads who have more overhead cost due to new tooling and design are 180$. So it really seems that the prices for the Hasbro Asia releases are not corelated with the actual cost of the figures or of obtaining them. And that is what is bothering me and what I am talking about.
