Hasbro executives: Alright sales team. We have this new cartoon coming out. As with the proud tradition of the Hasbro company dating back many years ago to 1984, a toyline absolutely must come out with this cartoon. Ideas?
Rando Sales person #1: Well, we must include the Warrior class line. It was a big hit with the fans during Robots in Disguise.
HasEx: You're right. However, many people thought those toys were too complex for little kids... any ideas of to fix this problem?
#1 (hesitating): I mean, we could maybe take out some of the articulation... it would make the toy less complicated, but also less fu-
HasEx: Righto! Do that. Send that to design team. Anything else? Remember, think stupidly simple.
Rando Sales person #2: How about partly transforming figures?
HasEx: What do you mean?
#2: Instead of going from robot to vehicle complete, depict the end mode of the transformation as being midway into tranforming. You'd save on design time and cost because we could literally make the robot mode end up looking anyway we want and claim that it's supposed to look partly transformed.
HasEx: Well, we're always looking to save a little money...
#1: Wait! That's completely stupid. What's the play value in that? Won't kids notice how idiotic that'll look?
#2: Nah, we can make up some "use your imagination" BS like we do for the Power Ranger toys that don't actually morph. Or maybe add a simple gimmick that'll totally distract from the transforming gimmick. We could even pacify older fans by naming after an old class size we don't use anymore, like Scout or something.
#1: That'll just pi-
HasEx: Yes! Great plan, #2. Get that to the design teams too!

Wait, maybe this is a clever ploy to prevent troop-building-adult-collectors from clearing the pegs and leaving no Scraplets for the kids find! And all because I (and so many others) went overboard with TR Sharkticons!
On second glance, it's just paint, the pock-marks are just screw-holes...
Say, does anyone else think the Scraplet's supposed to look like it has a mild case of Cosmic Rust?! Perhaps they have partial immunity, making them the perfect carriers? That'd be the ultimate Marvel/Sunbow disease-fusion, a perfect example of what I love most about Cyberverse! Now we just need a flashback to Alpha Trion and Emirate Xaaron having a heated argument at the Iacon High Council, and my life will be complete!
Oh, and I love it's card art! Makes it look like Ben 10's going to turn into one next season.

Naturally, the Maximal is getting a new toy to go with the new show. Thanks to In Demad Toys, we’ve got some images of this new version of Cheetor. Cheetor transforms from a rather nice looking robotic cheetah into a robot stylized after his Beast Wars appearance, and apparently transforms without any faux parts. As part of the Spark Armor lineup, he too comes with his own Battle Armor, his being a retooled version of Bumblebee’s Spark Armor.
We have mirrored the images for your convenience:
What do you think? Will he be worth getting, or will he be a skip for you? Tell us in the discussion below

Doesn't someone else come with the same armor/battleship? Bumblebee?
Or does it just look similar?
Agree that it's neat to see Cheetor show up again.
Edit: Jumped back a page because I swore we'd just seen Bee, and yes looks like they share their armor up companion.
Is this the first we've seen of different figs sharing a armor friend?

I know, really happy about this. Also it means armors may be interchanged. That is a pretty big deal for me.

I believe they span multiple size classes

Indeed, as I stated in the article, Cheetor's armor is a retool of Bumblebee's. It appears at least the head is different, besides the redecoed colors.

From everything this line shows us, a mainline cheetor wouldnt look any better.

In BOTH modes!
I seriously begin to think that the real draw of the Cyberverse line will be the Armor figures.

His deluxe Beast Machines and MP were pretty good too.

I didn't put in Masterpiece because its redundant to say a character has 'a good Masterpiece'. They're on several levels than a mass retail figure.

Agreed. the Transmetal toy is so much fun. It's hard to get his original body justice

Each new subsection of Cyberverse somehow manages to get it's hollow, non-articulated foot in the door.

For just a toy, maybe, but this is still not accurate to the show.

Not really. MP Shockwave, for instance is only above the mass retail toy that came out this year in terms of height and not much else. Plus there have been MP duds, like Roadrage, and the original Megatron.

But it looks better than a figure of this size more closely looking like the show model would. I am ok with the sacrifice of the front legs position considering it gives us a much better toy potentially

Still i wonder what mm ports his fists have. I hope he is compatible with 5mm weapon handles.
Is is anyone else getting a Tidal Wave vibe from that boat with him?

BotCon 2006 exclusive. I think it looks cool, and I love the Clocker mold as well.
