Has Autobot symbol, so... nope. I'll stick with my Decepticon version :-D

Really liking the Netflix version of Impactor

Will definitely be adding that to the collection!

Doesn't bother me as much now as when we first saw it. There's just enough of that canned peas green in his upper half and yellow in his legs to like the balance. I almost wish they didn't paint his hands.

Shame they gave him an Autobot symbol, that sure isn't cartoon accurate.

Having N Chromia, I finally tried the mold.
I am angry and happy at the same time. Happy because she look DAMN good compared to the regular version. I can see why the combiner gimmick was removed. The bot and vehicle modes are much sleeker. Plus the transformation have some unexpected twists like the rotating wheel kibbles on her legs.

I'm mostly angry about two specific things. What's up with her obsession at removing her panties and going commando at any times randomly? This is annoying. STAY DECENT, GIRL! Second, her gun. It didn't had to separate in multiple tidbits that barely hold together.

Overall, I'm still glad I hav her. Too bad they never made an Arcee out of that mold.

It should be noted that, at this moment in time, this will be the only release for both Bumblebee and Elita-1.

What do you think of these figures? Will you be collecting all of these figures?

I'm just not that excited about these figures. Already have Wheeljack and just need Bee.
Does anyone know if Elitas backpack is removable? Reminds me of a homeless cybertronian.
The impactor paint job is nice, I may just have to grab a 2nd figure.
Please fill me in on this line but other than the Netflix line, do these figures have better paint apps? Thanks and take care my fellow cybertronians

As removable as Arcee's, since they're the same mold.

Most of these are cool. Red Alert and Wheeljack are very disappointing. Red loses his red biceps from the renders (again) and his limbs are this weird cream color that clashes with the white paint like nobody's business. Wheeljack loses the cool weathering effects on his car mode paint apps and instead just gets black stuff spattered on him.

Overall, I felt like that battle damage paint on the first series was pretty good, but the ones that have it on this second series is pretty blah.

I finally tried the Siege Mirage mold. I would have hated the regular version, but with the Netflix colors it work very well as a Cybertronian vehicle. I was taken aback by the faux-chest, but otherwise it's a pretty solid mold. His colors fit very well with Hotlink.

The miscolored whites didnt work on the regular siege version either, only Selects Artic Megatron pulls it off in a good way (it makes him look cheap but also even more G2ish).

I might consider elita 1 and detaching the shell but only bumblebee for sure, Optimus depending on final figures coloring and maybe the mystery leader. Soundwaves nice but I just need to spend money on another one.

This just odd, because in Earthrise we are getting Arcee (which is clearly not an earth vehicle). Just like we got a couple figures in Siege that looked pretty much like standard earth vehicles rather than Cybertronian. I just wonder if not for the Netflix show if BB and Elita-1 would have been regular Earthrise or Siege releases...??

That makes the most sense. I mean I know some people are into the Netflix line. To me they pretty much were pointless cash grabs until Elita-1 and Bumblebee which are arguably the first new toys in this line.

It was quite interesting, the way it first seemed was the Netflix line was nothing but redecos, the odd new character (Scrap Face) but wave 2 gave us the first two retools (also the only pair to have no battle damage on them) then there's this new leader that we don't know much about.

Yeah the Spoiler Box #2 is puzzling. I think a Black Galaxy Prime is the best guess I've seen. But then again, that character never appeared in the series so... :-?

Yes I guess it would have to be. Although everything else from wave 1 and 2 was specific to Siege. (well now I guess an Earthmode Soundwave would be the other exception as well) I figure Netflix Earthrise will have repaints from ER (and a couple new surprises perhaps), and same for Kingdom. The packaging I imagine would stay the same, just muted black/white versions of the line they are duplicating.

So basically "Earthrise" Bumblebee and Soundwave got hijacked by Walmart for use in their Siege Line to Promote Siege Netflix, :HEADHURTS: . My other thought could have been that Elita-1 was going to be a Selects perhaps, but fortuitously just happened to work in the series favor.

It should be noted that the Netflix line does not actually say "Siege" anywhere on its packaging.

Add to that the rumors that ER will end after three retail waves, plus the rumors of Inferno and other G1 vehicles, and it definitely seems like the release schedule was scrambled for one reason or another. Of course, WfC has had a less explicit conceptual division between it's lines compared to, say, Combiner Wars versus Titans Return.

The product information text says the transformation takes 34 steps. Galaxy Prime takes 44, while Earthrise Prime takes 35. A Nemesis Prime based on the ER mold is more likely.

It's possible, but would be a huge waste IMHO. ER Prime mold has already been reused for the Amazon Exclusive "AU" Prime, and the cab portion is being released as a Voyager in that same Netflix wave 2. Galaxy Prime, Astrotrain, and Doubledealer are the leaders that haven't been reused yet. The Giza clue certainly strongly implies that this will be a Nemesis Prime of some sort, but it would be way better if they made a nemesis version of Galaxy Prime over using ER Prime yet again. Just my thoughts though.

I'm not weighing in on what they should do but what it looks like they're doing. The Netflix WFC Prime would be the same mold but a different character, and that's normal for a Transformers line.

Actually There is a way to convert GU Prime to truck in 34 steps and it's right on the box. The first spoiler set says "This Ultra Magnus toy converts to armored truck mode in 26 steps" yet there is no 26 on the back of the standard UM box, to get 26 you have to take bot to truck (12 steps) and then add the trailer (14 steps) to get 26.

Image

But you can't use the same trick to get to the advertised 44 steps for GU Prime meaning the number is wrong.

OIP.jpg

However, the new Spoiler box simply says "converts to vehicle mode in 34 steps", it doesn't say which vehicle mode and you CAN do that many steps on the back of GU Prime's box using their method for UM if you go from armored robot to basic robot (21 steps) to truck cab (13 steps equaling 34) without the trailer.

Plus it makes more sense to give this figure its second use ever instead of using the ER mold a second time in the same Netflix wave.

I'm using Hasbro's own numbering systems from their own promotional product descriptions, which has been consistent across all of their products. Why wouldn't they include the trailer as part of the transformation? What you're saying doesn't make any kind of sense.

You can want the figure to be GU Prime, but that's wishful thinking. It's not impossible, there's just no good evidence for it.

I actually thought Emerje's logic made sense, and I would definitely prefer a Galaxy Prime to a 3rd Earthrise Prime. And to reiterate a point from earlier, I don't see them, in the same way, releasing 2 versions of the Earthrise Prime

A Nemesis Prime from the ER mold would be that mold's second time in black and fourth use overall (ER, AU, Netflix, Netflix spoiler box).

A Nemesis Prime from the Siege GU mold would be that version of the mold's second use and would be a unique deco for that design since the original Cybertron Optimus never got colored anything other than red (outside of Lucky Draws, but which only came in gold, silver, or a one-of-a-kind green). There was never a "Black Galaxy Convoy"/"Galaxy Scourge" toy.
Re: New Video Review of Netflix Transformers War for Cybertron Deluxe Class Impactor (2076800)
Posted by AcademyofDrX on August 20th, 2020 @ 9:48am CDT
The Siege mold was used three times, including an alternate Prime deco and for Nemesis Prime. This debate basically boils down to this question: do you think Hasbro will continue to do what it has before (use the same transformation steps numbering convention, release a new Optimus semi mold as Nemesis) or something different (use a new numbering scheme for no good reason, resurrect an old Siege mold for the post-ER WFC line). I don't have a crystal ball, I just think in the absence of other evidence, things happen like they have before.

I feel like you never actually read what I wrote and just assumed it was wrong. You can go by the official Hasbro numbers, but that 44 doesn't exist in any combination at all on GU Prime's box. At all. 34 does. You are right, it doesn't make sense not to include the trailer, but it also doesn't make sense to originally say Sky Lynx comes with an Astroscope figure (and STILL have stores include it in their listings) or show the wrong figure mold CG on Bluestreak's box. Hasbro isn't infallible, they make dumb little mistakes like this all the time. I wouldn't base all my speculation just on that one number.

I'd be down for a Nemesis Galaxy Convoy.

I had no reason to get the original Siege because I have the Galaxy Force Convoy. But a Nemesis one with battle damage, smoke, and whatnot would be totally bad-ass.

Weapons are cool as is the snake, but I like my Siege Prime as my one use of the figure, despite how nice it looks in those colors. And I really don't want another trailer, I already have 2 MP trailers and the Corpse coffin trailer
