New Transformers DOTM Figure Images

Damn, they look pretty great. Loving that Whirl gun mode held by Prime and Bee. The wreckers look superb too and Crankcase looks suitably menacing and bug-like. Very, very cool. If I had money I'd buy them all on sight. Jolt looks a little bland colorwise but I can easily fix that and it's an improvement on his RotF mold.

What's the Bee figure with the gun hole on the front of the car and those booster things on the back? I haven't seen that one before.

That shot of Roadbuster and Topspin standing together looks fantastic. Even just standing there they look very well designed and stylish. Loving the DotM line a hell of a lot despite a couple near misses (Prime's toys seem a bit basic and a step down from RotF Leader and the later scaled down Voyager, but hey, trailers at last!). Best looking TF line in ages.

Roadbuster is mine.

Wow...Talk about a waste of plastic. There's nothing at all appealing about any of these figs. And here I thought the last movie line was terrible. At least that line had a couple of figures I bought on clearance. This line though, not one fig I'd pay a penny for.

So don't. I think the same way about all of the Animated toys and the vast majority of Generations/Reveal the Shield so I just don't waste my money on them. These though I really do want. Some of these are absolutely superbly designed and highly detailed. These are my Transformers and I hope similar lines of TF's continue to come out long after the movie's run ends.

The Wreckers look great, but I'm going to be really displeased if Leadfoot, the #42 car, doesn't get a kick-ass Deluxe like the others.

Those HA basics look like alot of fun.

And the Dread SUV has some awesome poseability! Need me a couple of those at least.

Which figure comes with the clip-on miniguns? I wants em.

I have not seen one Bay movie Transformers that I would buy. So far all are horrible. Serious...not one. How many versions of Bumble and Prime are they gonna make? Horrible. Let's get some War for Cybertron figures please.

There's still a quite a few movie figures in certain stores here in Van unfortunately. Well.....ANY of those abominations is too many in my opinion but i agree with you for the most part about the DOTM line so far.

Most of these figures look like shite but these photos do them some justice and i have zero desire for anything from this line. Save for Megatron.

It seems to me that each figure has something sorta cool about them but certainly not enough cool for me to buy them.

I just hope they don't sit around for 2 years like ROTF.

Finally, finally something shine my eyes. Whirl's gun mode. If and only if I get him, he will be in that mode forever and held by my random classics figures.

I'm still seeing Ravage everywhere in my little neck of the woods. Most likely. as with the previous movie figs, they'll be on the racks a long time (oh, and still have a lot of Primes too), and we'll never see any of the othe lines.

I like the HA basics, but that gun mode just kicked Whirl way, way up the ladder.

I'll be getting several of those to display in different modes.

And I kind of like jolt, crummy gray plastic notwithstanding.
I'll hold out for the inevitable repaint on that one.

And I was kind of appreciated that. Recently all the sudden my son told me he wants the movie Ravage for his birthday. I'm honestly glad I can still find it on the shelf so I don't have to fight on eBay.

Like ROTF, the Scout-sized (HA) figures are some of the most promising. I might just get some of those anyway because they're cool little TFs. Aside from the Wreckers, Skyhammer & Sentinel Prime, not much is interesting me. It's also a sad day when Bumblebee looks cooler than Optimus Prime.

I think I know what puts me off about these figures; Its the way the limbs are molded in most cases. They seem to have that squigly bunch of detail lines that are meant to look like complex parts, but really just look like chunky alien muscles, or 'crumpled can' aesthetics. Which is why I would say Whirl has the best looks, if not for those ugly child bearing hips. And of course Skyhammer looks good if not for the ugly stock face paintjob.

So guess who just decided they're going to buy all of these? I was pretty harsh on DOTM so far, but these are looking mostly great. I'm Bumblebee fatigued like everyone else, probably more so, since I own all of them, but the Wreckers, Basics, Skyhammer, and a few other look really fun.

I did Well, the figures in this thread at least. I'll buy them when I head for the States in Fall for a family reunion. I just hope to be able to tell all Deluxe Bumblebee versions apart...

That pincer looks pretty stupid in SUV mode, but it works well in robot mode. He looks like he has great posability - that picture with Megatron is badass (I saved it, lol).


So if one Dread is Crankcase, who's the other one? Are there more? It's almost too bad they named him; Transformers could use a couple army-builder figures.

Helicopter seems like a Unicron trilogy homage to Cyclonus/Snowcat. Skis for feet...CHECK....helicopter mode---check. Big chest/stomach areas...check....

These galleries have me sold on the green one, Jolt and even Crankcase! Bee still looks lame - he can barely see over his own chest!

DAMN BUMBLEBEE!!! I've always wanted a TF toy with a minigun!!! I thought I was gonna have to wait for a Prime Skyquake to come out, but not this time! Tonight, I feel...still angry. But a little less.

Anybody else notice that the back of Whirl's head is a spotlight? Thats a clever use of the ligthpiping for altmode. It also solves the problem of Whirl's head not looking G1 enough-just don't rotate it and he'll have his classic mono-eye face.

So far I'm getting Roadbuster, Shockwave (I don't have one in my collection yet- *Hint to Hasbro*), and Powerglide. I started to say I would get Prime with trailer until I found out that retail is 79.99. Too pricey for my blood.

Man looking at the Roadbuster just makes me wish his vehicle was armed up like in the movie. Oh wait, instead of the armored up alt mode Roadbuster had they gave it to that new Bumblebee mold...

And Whirl is looking really cool and im gonna get him for sure. With his new head I noticed that the searchlight below his rotor is actually the back of his head, meaning this guy has got some crazy light piping haha.

Can Hasbro just hire this guy to take pics of ALL TF figure. These actually make the DOTM figures look great!

I'm in the same boat. It's crazy what high quality images of these figures can do for them when they are correctly transformed.

Why'd they lop off Crankcase's middle digit? T~T

Searchlight head = awesome. Not sure if it outweighs the ski-feet though...

So far Whirl is the only one who's thrid mode can be held by another Deluxe or Voyager figure. The others like Sandstorm, Icepick, Backfire, & Thunderhead only serve as a gimmic suited for each of their human partners. (literally speaking in the case of Thunderhead)

But who knows, I could be fully wrong on this.

I did look all over this bitch for official images of the HABs in their "assult modes" but for some damn reason I can't find a single one here on Seibertron.

Look at the peg on the bottom in the rear. Looks like these more than just a few of these figures will have some type of weapon mode!



I don't see any peg in weapon mode, but look at the peg on his robot arm!

Anyways I stand corrected. It looks like at least those two sport both a 4mm or 5mm peg hole and a grip bar.

I thought that was Sandstorm? Well what one is the figure that goes from a four leggeded spider tank to a "mech suit" for his human buddy. That's the one that won't be able to do cool shit like that.

I like them all, but the lack of ankle and waist articulation in figures is a big turn off for me. Paint apps are cheap, but I can always repaint them. Whirl and Crankcase are the ones in this bunch that interest me. Too bad Jolt lost so much articulation in this version.
