Not entirely sure what's going on with Vortex there, he's giving an Astrotrain vibe in robot mode.

fix'd ^
I too am curious to see how this is going to play out. Worst case scenario, I guess, is to have to mix-and-match the scramble combiner limbs. What a crazy concept.

There's 10 to a box so you'll have 6 unique and 4 double ups.
When you buy a box it's never lucky draw. You always get the same assortment so you can always complete a set.

I'm totaly with you on the Vortex, being retooled as BlastOff, I think that he was initialy designed as BlastOff, but they are previewing him as vortex first as if it was the other way round we would definently think theyhave just retooled blast off to make vortex. This way we accept the mould as vortex, but when he is released as blastoff, as he will be more suited to the mould it will have less compramises. The robot mode is BlastOff all day long, I had to look twice, there are parts there that have been forced to wrk as a helicopter, as the arms could be so much better, as there is no need for them to be so rounded. The Helicopter is so generic they could of made decent arms that merge to make the tail, instead the arms are the nose of a shuttle, which double up as the tail of the helicopter, plus the parts that finish off the tail are obviously the parts needed to retool BlastOff into vortex, otherwise for such a small figure those parts would of been simplified and incorporated into the mould more.
I must say I am disapointed in the combined mode, as the torso parts had such an improved look when in there uncombined characters, I thought the improvements would of run through into the merged form, but sadly the flaws remain, and possibly worsened. These sort offigures are for the fan who has everything.

A little disappointed they went this way, but given the size and simplicity of them it's not surprising.

To be fair, this combined mode is more of a "Hey, look at the thing we did because why not?" rather than the main show. The big finale is the limbs combined with a proper torso.

I shall call him... Liokaiser Jr., only because of the way he has a jet's canopy forming his chest.

But that's assuming each mold comes in only two colors and if each color comes in a box. We might have a situation where in a case all of the brawl/swindle molds are green.

These kits may not be the highest quality, but there hasn't been a Kabaya figure in recent years that has been disappointing.

To be fair, they're a good deal sturdier than most of the FoC deluxes.

I love the little buggers. I don't love putting them together (yay for fat fingers!) but I love opening them and working out the engineering that's gone into them and how similar, but different they are to their larger versions.
And as others have said, they're often more sturdier. Sure they may lack ball joints, but they're still surprisingly articulated.

They all are. Each robot contains (in box) contains enough bits to make either vehicle A or vehicle B.
