I bet that Charr and Junk get to be the cheapo lots.

I just played the Marvel Monopoly game Saturday. If it's anything like that then the spaces will be the high-profile TF's like Prime, Megatron, Shockwave, and then have some factions like the Dinobots and Insecticons.
Looks like I'm buying me a Monopoly game.

It doesn't get much clearer than that, without them actually naming Marvel and Sunbow in the press release. I think Monopoly qualifies as something directed more at the nostalgia market (like Optimash Prime and the plush figures) so it's only sensible to assume it'll be based around the sterling work of Floro Dery and Uncle Bob Budiansky.
TRANSFORMERS MONOPOLY! WOO!

That was actually featured at Toyfair but I have no idea what universe it is in and any details of it, I was only told about the Monopoly set.

I'm looking forward to this...normally I don't buy all the Monopoly versions except for the new MegaMonopoly version (has 12 additional spaces, 9 properties, and you can build skyscrapers!), but I'm definitely in for this one. With this in production, how long will it be before TF Trivial Pursuit? Stratego?

The movie head sculpts may keep me from jumping in on too much of the merchandise, but trying to be open minded till I see the flick.

I hate to break it to you, but...Unicron is a CHARACTER. He transforms readily and could never be a Risk planet.

I guess there weren't enough locations in the movie to fill a monopoly board. Or atleast interesting locations, it would be boring to buy "the street form car chase scene".

Groovy, could I have those Photoshop files, if you don't mind?
And S3, Simpsons Monopoly was widely available, I think. I found it at TRUs, Sears, Wal-Mart and stuff.

Good point. I would think it's a bit of a stretch to use planets as property, unless they are going to use various places on each planet.
Here's the most well known:
Earth
Cybertron
The planet of Junk
Unicron
Quints

Plus, Char, Goo (sp.?), Moonbases maybe, Torqulon, that planet from "Carnage in C-Major" (or "Minor", whichever).
Simpsons Monopoly was in Woolworths too, SuperSaiyajinSasuke.

I'd file it between Spider-Man Monopoly and the Armada board game.
