No sweaters here, because my christmas was mainly Gunpla-and-Gaming-centric, with some TFs and legos thrown in.

I mean... Merry Christmas from Ontario, Canada! Santa and I are discussing what to do with all these free range Polar Bears at the moment and pounding back a few pints. He spoiled me a lil' this year.
- Costco Bumblebee (all BBs should be this finish from now until the end of time)
- A new Dyson vacuum. The Portuguese in me is as giddy as a titmouse. Seriously, this thing could suck the bolts out of the haul of a submarine.
- A new full Snow Mobile suit. I look like The Stig in it. AMAZING!
- A cottage. That's right. An effin COTTAGE. It's great.
- Cashola
- Ny-quil. What? I have the flu!
A whack of other awesome things, but the best part of Christmas this year was seeing my Mom happy. Sure I know it's lame but I've seen that woman cry for the last, I dunno, 4 Christmases... and this year she finally has a reason to smile. You could take away everything I got for Christmas this year and I'd be fine with it so long as that smile stays on that old ladies face...
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good fight!

Badass Grimlock, did you happen to get any of the new Bionicle type hero, adventure, whatever-the-heck-they-call-'em? Thinking about picking some up for my boys when b-days roll around but want 2nd opinion before hand.
prowl23, you posted that you got a Nerf Vulcan. My boys each got a Maverick and I need to level the playing field or I'll get slaughtered. Would a Vulcan do it for me or should I just play dirty from the start and go get myself a Longstrike? They didn't have this type of stuff when I was their age and TF's are the only toy line I've really stayed on top of all these years. Any advice would be welcome.

The Vulcan will spray enough darts to make anyone afraid of little foam darts run and hide, but for fully automatic you'll need six freaking D-Cells. If you can get good with a Maverick, that will work great for anything. Alternate plan, look into the N-Force melee weapons. They're awesome, and reinforced with a plastic rod so they're non-lethal but still sturdy, so you can beat your kids with a stick and not need a visit from Child Services.

I know how to cook, but I find Alton to be simple. No muss, no fuss, and good food.

It's got a very mellow banana flavor, and very little alcoholic burn. I mostly use it for making desserts and such, but it also goes very well in some peach tea.

Hero Factory? Yes, I have a few. The Heroes are a lot like the little Bionicle Stars sets. They're small, cheap, and come in assorted colors and flavors. They're also really sturdy, and stand up to a lot of play. The villains, however, don't seem to be well-designed, and are a bit skinny and lanky. I'd definitely recommend the Heroes, but pass on the Villains. Just get out some of the older Bionicle villains, like a Piraka, and make them the villains.
As for the Nerf guns, try the Stampede or the Rapid Fire 35. I haven't used them, and don't own any Nerf guns myself, but they look positively vicious.
