For some time the man-made island of Odaiba in Tokyo, Japan has been home to a life-size Unicorn Gundam, but now there's a new bot in town. A life size Bumblebee standing nearly 12 feet tall and weighing in at nearly 1,900lbs is standing just steps away (literally steps, it's positioned on a set of stairs) from the famous Gundam to promote the Bumblebee movie which hits Japanese theaters on March 22. It's a very life-like statue as it gazes across the Festival Square.

And thanks to some Japanese fans on Twitter we have several photos to share!

This artwork makes it look like the Decepticons and Bee are fighting together but I'll probably pic this up since i think the US Steel Book look lame. - unless i could get the ITALY STEEL BOOK. That version look sweet.

Undecided. I'm hesitant and unsure why, so I'll hold off for now.

As an aside, that Gundam statue looks amazing

It also makes it looks like the standard DVD version has no Decepticons  , man the quality of standard DVD really is getting bad

I believe that is the Unicorn Gundam in it's hyper mode, though I cold be wrong, also I think that statue was featured in Pacific Rim Uprising...

Actually, the Unicorn Gundam Statue can convert between normal and super modes. It's really cool. ;)^

And I think that was the same Gundam in Pacific Rim 2, but I have to check to be sure. I am positive it is a Unicorn Gundam statue though

Vive Goldorak! . But yeah, that is cool....Seems like Super/Real Robots get plenty of well deserved love the world over, except in the US....Sure we had a 20( something) foot tall Optimus Prime statue traveling around conventions for a time...but still...If it wasn't half way around the world, I'd love to see that Mazinger statue, for sure.

The UK doesn't fare well in that front either, best we have is a metal Martian tripod structure commentating where the first Martian cylinder fell in the War of the Worlds book. I guess maybe it's a culture thing as obviously in Japan's case, that's the second gundam statue (bet its not the last either)

Nope, definitely not the last Gundam statue. They are already making a new one based on the RX-78-02 Gundam (My favorite btw). The new one will probably have moving arms too

What's this? A live action Transformers movie that actually includes the deleted/cut-out scenes of the movie as bonus content on its home media releases, rather than withholding such extra footage from ever seeing a full public release? Madness! 8-}

Still hoping Targets release (or another retailer) will include the Machinima series TR & PotP. Yes they are horrible, but having them in some physical format would be nice. As divisive as they are, I don't think any TF media deserves to be lost forever, not even something that bad... 8-) .

Courtesy of Paramount, we now have images of the home media releases of the Bumblebee movie. A press release was sent out earlier this morning with further information about the film and home media releases. In addition, Paramount has also posted the Blu-Ray trailer on their YouTube channel, which you can view below. In addition, the Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Combo Packs also include an exclusive printed version of the motion comic titled "Sector 7 Adventures: The Battle at Half Dome". The cover, featuring Bumblebee versus Soundwave (?) is in the gallery below.

Depends if hasbro has ownership of the show and copies of it. Considering they haven’t posted them on their own channel like they did with Combiner Wars over a year ago I’m gonna say there’s a lot behind the scenes issues with the shows and go with no.

Well hey, Rooster teeth just acquired a bunch of machinema’s stuff and renamed their “the know” channel an inside gaming which was an old channel of Machinema’s until the employees all quit and became Funhaus.

Who knows maybe they picked the deal with Hasnto and will post the prime wars trilogy. It’s a slim chance but they did have a clip of the Primes wars trilogy in the montage while they were announcing it

I like and I will be getting this movie to add to the collection. It's a must being a TF fan/collector.
For the neh Bayer's.. you make me sick falling in love with this movie more than the MBay Transformers, this guy jus put a few minutes of Cybertron an make the robots look like there original form an that's it.. because bumblebee is in his original g1 form around the years TF was initially introduced to us, but so what he is an advanced robot not old school. so the bug look was cool but outdated. The characters in the movie other wise other than blitzwing are unknown to me so why didn't we get some known characters if the director is such a g1 fan...
I say what ever to the critics an ppl who don't have a open mind.. I'm a bigger fan of BayFormer movie's than this one but ultimately a Transformers fan so I'll buy this

It’s been months. If you didn’t see it and the stuff and info for the home media release if coming out than that’s too bad. If you haven’t seen the movie than why the Hell are you going to news and discussions regarding stuff on it.

That’s dumb.

It's confirmed but they never use the word once? I think they are talking about how they approach these movies rather then saying they are ditching what's come before. Afterall there is still a lot they can do before dealing with the tf movies.

I think really we'll know when we get details of the next movie to come out (if they have megs smashing around the 90s then we'll have our answer )

It's never a good sign when an ostensibly professional news site creates an entire matter-of-factly-written article out of a single line of ambiguously-written text from a fansite as its source.

I'm not going back read, but what's the general consensus on Bumblebee as there was both consistent and contradictory info in the movie. Intentional or not I feel it was a bit of a soft reboot or they at least tidied up a few things.

Its a reboot. They just don't want to come out and say it so they can continue to milk as much money out of the other five films as possible.

I'm not going back read, but what's the general consensus on Bumblebee as there was both consistent and contradictory info in the movie. Intentional or not I feel it was a bit of a soft reboot or they at least tidied up a few things.

Its a stand alone film within a larger universe that is only slightly alluded to.

Its a reboot. They just don't want to come out and say it so they can continue to milk as much money out of the other five films as possible.

Yeah that's my take on it to. Probably also worried about alinetating fans of the previous films.

The point is there is a lot of misinformation out there and it seems fans are desperate for someone else to tell them what they are watching instead of forming their own thoughts on the matter.

A lot of misinformation comes from the movies.

No. I'd say they are desperate to know that the Bay movies are gone and not coming back.

What's the big deal if they are still here? A gifted writer can still craft fantastic tales and still make it link up to the 07 movie. The bay movies were not just his fault, the writers of those movies share the blame, just as Bumblebee would have fell if the writer of AoE or Last Knight did it. Until hasbro say otherwise, bee is not a reboot. Its down to them where it sits

I can agree 100% on that but I think thats pretty nuts to think that about a film like Bee, when the main character's face has a bayverse design.

In any case, we already got confirmation from hasbro (like actual confirmation with quotes and all), that the films were moving away from the storylines set by Bay and the next film in the franchise that was building on it was cancelled.

The next film is already confirmed to be different, so the need for a reboot, or a cofirmation of one, is pretty moot.

At least that's how I see it. But seriously, if someone's idea of an actual reboot is for Bumblebee to have the same face he did before and still turn into a camaro and have a problem with his voice, then thats a pretty terrible reboot.

What is the next film? Is it bee 2 or the Cybertron prequel?

Personally I feel they are trying to have the best of both worlds. Keep the established aesthetic going for this universe and retcon out the things that aren't working. I also feel it's pretty moot, but that may because I'm just not that invested in it all. I take each movie like a piece of bubblegum, enjoy it while it lasts and spit it out once it starts tasting bad. They've said it's not a reboot, so it's not until we hear otherwise. The Bumblebee movie straight up contradicted a few things and it'd be nice to have some concrete answers though.

I think the quote or if not a quote the general vibe is that they are taking Transformers in a new direction. That could be interpreted as a new story or a new way to tell the stories. Personally I think they are going to try the stand alone movie thing again and keep focusing in smaller stories of individuals and do a little Marvel-like world building before bringing it all back together again.

I'll just say you can never have Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave and Shockwave together on the big screen if it's in the same continuity.

Cant use Megatron at all unless it takes place on Cybertron or inbetween Rotf and Dotm or Aoe and Tlk

Literally zero good can come out of this in the long run even if individual movies are good, if their changing story direction, why stay with the universe that killed 90 percent of the popular characters?
