According to the info at Botcon, October, 2013.
As we've clearly overshot that date, I'd suspect February.

Overall, I like 'em. Can't wait to see these guys, Cosmos + Payload, and Shrapnel + Reflector in stores.

Cosmos is nice, but given his appearances in MTMTE, he should have been given a similar treatment to Seaspray, with a larger Voyager-class figure.

That would have been awesome, even if they used the same size targetmaster. Hell, it'd look just that much more imposing in vehicle modes.

And unlike X, I think both Cosmos and Swerve are perfect for Classics. I'll probably repaint the iGear versions at some point as Shattered Glass characters.

Also they might suffer from size envy when they spot powerglide and seaspray.

The Autobot Micromaster combiner, Blast Master. He formed the back-half of the shuttle mode.
Now that I think about it, turning old Micromasters into these little Targetmaster buddies is actually a pretty neat idea. Half-hoping the listings we uncovered before (there was a Thundercracker and a Gears in there, if my memeory is correct) is true, and we get more Legends figures.

Oh that's pretty cool. But why did they use the name payload? doing a tfwiki search did not help at all. Payload seems to be a bunch of different characters in different continuities. Also how is he related to Cosmos? Both spaceships?

Probably because Hasbro lost the trademark of "Blast Master", and, uninterested in the marketability of the aforementioned name, just slapped "Payload" on him, since that name appears more frequently and generally sounds cooler than Blast Master.
Also how is he related to Cosmos? Both spaceships?
Pretty much, yeah.

All sounds like nonsense to me. After all Swerve comes with Flanker, who is somehow linked to Sky High on the wiki entry relating to this toy instead of the actual micromaster Flanker, who's own page isn't clear as to whether he's an Autobot or Decepticon. Top all that off with what exactly links Payload specifically to Blast Master and not Phaser and it all sounds loopy to me.

edit: had a thought, will the Japanese version be called Pay-Loads?

I think it will be called Pay-Roads.

I think he missed the joke of "Pay Loads" to get him. Japanese has no distinction between "l" and "r" sounds, it falls somewhere inbetween. For simplicity's sake the "r" is used for transliteration, except for loanwords.

that sounds...and forgive me if I'm being a little judgemental here...but it sounds, a teeny tiny terribly bit like he's making fun of the way people from another culture speak our language (well, my language, anyway). I'm sure this is fine though cause Fell probably speaks much better Japanese than any Japanese person speaks English. Probably.
