I'm still not convinced this isn't a prank. I want a white Prime to be Magnus but this smells like... well like a 7-11.

Though their Cheeseburger Dogs are the BEST.

Even though I live in Japan and my friend runs a local 7-11, I am STILL not getting this. Just like the recent Pioneer earphones, Takara is smoking crack if it thinks it can charge the price for either of these releases. The KO version is BOUND to come out later on and will be a fraction of the cost and the same, if not better quality.

So you're not into it, thats clear. But I'll say for the 3rd time, the KO MP-10 is NOT a high quality figure.

I haven't had one myself, but from the quality of the Wei Jiang KOs I've had, and from reviews at places like Ben's Collectibles on YouTube, I think they're a good chance of a high, if not higher than official quality set. I'm actually into this official set, due to my high shopping rate at 7-11 Japan. The price is disgusting though, IMO, hence the desire for a more affordable KO.

However, even if the quality is a bit off, it's no problem for me, as I've got the original, G1 official version.


Anyway, here's a review of one such KO to help give a better picture of KO quality. I can't remember how it fared so it's here for either side of the argument.

I know nothing of the MPP10's, as I don't own any or done any research. But I do have one KO MP-10 (the White Magnus) and it's awful. And If you watch the video you posted, at 5:15 he starts talking for a couple minutes about how it looks good, but feels dodgy. He also stands it next to his Hasbro MP-10 saying it's much more solid in comparison, but his (official) MP-10SG is actually worst of the three. My MP-10SG is fine though, and I haven't heard anything negative about the QC on that version elsewhere.

As for the price though.... it's an exclusive. They're expensive, it's their nature. And actually, you of all people have the least to complain about supposedly having one in your backyard being run by a friend

7-11 exclusives aren't usually so expensive. The Gundams, for example, were not and neither were the Disney Label TFs. This new TF, though, is not, to my knowledge, sold in brick and mortar shops, but only online. The expensive BAPE tfs may have been expensive due to the brand's upmarket expensive image. However, 7-11 isn't an expensive brand. This is why I believe it's too expensive. That's why I'm going to get the KO.

It's only ¥3,000 more than a normal MP-10, that seems reasonable for a special limited store exclusive. It's also the same price as MP-10 Convoy Mode "Eva". Sure, it sucks that you have to pay full retail, but that's expecting too much for an item with no retail competition.

It's still a better deal than BAPE Convoy, those are ¥5,000 more than retail on a lower cost figure.

Also, I don't have to accept that value, when an KO will probably come out. I think it's too expensive.

Since this summer, we had seen very little in terms of the Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece MP-10 7-11 edition, a white redeco (totally not Ultra Magnus) of the base Optimus Prime / Convoy mold with the chain's green, orange and red logo and theme.

So I would buy this if it was released here. I wouldn't want to pay the import price, but if it was released officially I would love to get it.

I want this, but it's very exclusive and hideously expensive.

I did some Googlin' and didn't come up with a whole lot. Nothing with an actual Slurpee or 7-11 logo, but some decent looking slushy cups. Only the links were dead. Only other thing I found were Frappacino's on eBay... neat, but ain't right.

If you can make it, I've been thinking I could fill it with some sort of food coloring crystals or something to simulate the slush. That, and a sticker or two and I'll be over the moon

Besides, ignore the trailer and the optional shoulder sticks and he's 100% Ultra Magnus.

I'm guessing 7-Eleven asked for an exclusive Convoy and Takara Tomy took advantage of the store colors to sneak an Ultra Magnus in without them knowing.

I never cared for MP-10 because I don't think the robot mode is accurate to either the comics or the cartoon in G1 (or was it supposed to represent Optimus from another continuity?) but I still think it's a great mold and looks better in white.

Hey Shaj, update! They're all designed, I'm just waiting for more clear filament to come in. I'm printing 6, I'll see how they work with my own Mp-10, then change the design accordingly. Right now I've moved on to making their sticker labels. I'll keep you posted!
