Bummed by the news from Toy Fair that those Wal Mart SKUs for Arcee and Starscream were for Prime toys and not Generations/Reveal the Shield? Site sponsor BigBadToyStore has an alternative, albeit a pricey one for Arcee! iGear's MGT-10 Delicate Warrior, who was previously only available directly from iGear, is now available for preorder.

This new hand-made version of one of the most popular Transformers movie (1986) figures comes with a display stand with armature, and contains die-cast parts.

It contains:
Delicate Warrior toy ×1
Gun ×2
Base ×1
Character card ×1
Manual ×1
Measures about 14CM in Robot Mode, 11.5CM in Vehicle Mode.

And this is precisely why I bought the Impossible Toys Valkyrie.

Perfect? No, but at least I can afford the damn thing.

Ayup. This goes beyond stupid into levels I'm not sure I want to contemplate. I wanna complete my neo-G1 collection... but not that badly.

When she was up for preorder at iGear's site she was just under $100, if I recall right. (She's $110 from them now)

But this is easily the best Arcee out there.

I have the Valkyrie version too, and this one is much, MUCH better.

I you are a G1 Arcee fan, this one is really great!

Agreed, I also have both and Delicate Warrior blows Valkyrie out of the water. Valkyrie seems more at home in my G1 collection. The price will take Delicate Warrior out of the running for many though.

ZOMFG WAHBURGERS! Jesus, people. Get a grip. It's pricey because it isn't mass produced. Being available through BBTS only adds to the costs. Complaining about it isn't gonna make it any cheaper. Especially if you have no intention to buy. Pay to play folks. I think she looks nice and I might still get one eventually. Although I might take my chances ordering through other channels.

Delicate Warrior is a great toy. Far superior to IT's version. And I like Impossible Toys for the most part!

iGear's site still has it cheaper, though, so it may be best to get it from the source. It'll only get pricyer.

Chill out there money bags! Don't get angry at people for not wanting to drop 100 bucks on a chunk of pink plastic.

Some folks would really like to buy it but aren't fortunate enough to have the 100 plus bucks for it and it pisses them off and they maybe wanna vent about it to their fellow TF collectors.

Sorry it pisses you off that some of us aren't loaded. I think YOU need to get a grip.

Maybe Hasbro will at least repaint the prime one into G1 accurate colors? Yeah right, but i can dream. It would be nice, I mean I have enough autobot cars cybertronian style or not. So a second bike would be nice.

Delicate... warrior

Sounds like a pretty useless warrior, hahaha.

Def the better looking of the 2 versions, but those back wheels stick out so much, looks like crap in alt. mode because of that... shame.

Yeah, that's about right.

The price on Igear was $109. Plus shipping, it came to $127.

The price from iGear appreciated a bit from the first pressing. And yes, she is pricier than Valkyrie and the car mode ain't as sexy as the former, but she is sturdier, more anime accurate to bring more bang to your buck! Mine btw way is # 227 (according to her biocard)

I also understand where Flux Convoy is coming from. At least she ain't as expensive as the sh*tty rabid squirrel products a few years back.

Very nicely done robot mode. Only complaint I have about it is the high visibility of the wheels. Other than that the articulation looks awesome and the accuracy of capturing her movie likeness is great. The alt mode, however, is as much as a turn off as the price tag. If I could afford her she would likely remain in bot mode anyways to be displayed with some of the soon-to-be-acquired Generations & RTS figures to round out a G1 Updated display, but I can't justify that kind of cost for a single figure at this time. I've got at least 15 movies to save up for that I want to see more than I want to purchase a single figure. :P

I ordered this from igear about two days before the generations Arcee rumor. I was bummed a bit because I had just paid for it too.

Now, two days after the rumor is proven to be false, I get the notice from igear that it shipped!

The robot mode has this going for it over Valkerie: she can actually stand up. And sit down with both legs stretched out in front of her. Plus she's as tall as a deluxe.

The price is definately a turn off for most folks. If I didn't have the money, I wouldn't have bought her and settled for Animated Arcee ... or even Energon Arcee.

No way!!! nice yes but that's the price of a masterpiece ss, a vintage g1 figure, an fp protector or warbot which at least was nice in all 3 modes. Nu -uh, this will be filling any warehouse that ordered them and will have to be clearanced in the future to move.

@ang313s

I don't think so bro'. Despite her hefty price tag  the store I got her from sold out almost instantly while IT's Valkyrie is gathering dust.

So just like FP, you put out a high quality product, despite the price, people will still get it.

on a side note, concerning FP, due to my vintage G1 hunting/spending binge, missed Bruticus and passed on Protector. Maybe will target, just maybe Masterpiece Rodimus.

I gotta say, it's the best one out there - if you are looking at getting either IT or iGear, get the iGear one or don't bother at all. Somehow, I also have both!

I was (for a brief time late last year!) able to order a couple of the coneheads due for release later this year, Evil Leader (SG Prime - surprisingly good for a knock-off!) and Delicate Warrior from iGear, along with another 3rd party item from Robotkingdom - FP Protector (excellent again), and MP Rodimus (which I'm deeply disappointed with, but that's another story :BOOM: ).

Although I felt ripped off at the time for buying IT's Valkyrie, I was pleasantly surprised when iGear's version arrived - yeah, it's a third party item, but it is made well, and the quality control is much better than Impossible Toys. The dimensions of both modes work much better, and the stand is a welcome addition for the price. The guns are much better as well, chunky

I think the reason this is only hitting BBTS now is that because the workshop that is making these was only able to fulfil orders on a small consignment, and they are only starting to produce them for other retailers - mine took 2 months to be shipped directly from iGear.

I gotta say tho, BBTS are getting a serious markup on this - they have to be getting a discount from iGear for buying in bulk, yet they are adding $40 on the original $100 price =; . This is not the first time they've hiked prices (to my shame, I have a $19.00 SCOUT Windcharger in my BBTS queue, as I'm in Europe, and we never get past the second wave on anything).

Dear Hasbro,

I'm not going to buy either the impossible Toys Arcee or the Igear Arcee in the hope that someday you'll give us a G1 Arcee in all her glory instead of a crappy dull blue Transformers Prime bike that you've called "Arcee". :BOOM:

Just release it as an exclusive or something - Takara Tomy is actually probably a better bet because female anime characters are huge over here in Japan. :BOT:

I got her via iGear on the grounds I was royally disappointed with Valkyrie. I can say Delicate Warrior does a better job in the robot mode. The body is very nicely done and larger guns with 4mm pegs are a joy. The light piping through the side buns was brilliant.

But she had her share of flaws that didn't light my world on fire. First there's her face. It's too small for the rest of her head (almost childlike). Also, she interacts with her nicely made stand by popping out her tail fin; which has no place to go.

Vehicle mode looks alright from a distance. There's a lot more hard edges than Valkyrie, but it does the job of looking like whatever the hell she's supposed to be. But the angles on the gun mounts force them to aim to the sides and those tiny wheels do not want to move. It doesn't sound like much, but just think about the sort of epic fail it is to have a car mode that can't do the one thing we expect of a car mode.

And finally, neither version is pleasant to transform. You arrange them into cars, but nothing seems designed like there is a "right way" and where they go wasn't intended to recieve them so much as they merely could.

Overall, the toy is decent for a first timer's creation (iGear insists this was made by a different party, they're just selling it), but the price is absurd FOR third party pricing. She passes, but I doubt you'll be exactly thrilled. If you were looking for a definitive G1 Arcee, your world might be a little more empty than when if you had left the gap in your collection.

Now I hope Fansproject really does take a stab at Arcee. Their designs are unique, yet pleasing. Their engineering is clever and deliberate. Their pricing is usually tough but FAIR for the content. After now several years of consistent delivery, their closest thing to falling short was not giving Sidearm a place to go in Winnebago mode. (Unless I'm missing something)

There's more to it than that. Your also getting higher quality plastic that's molded in pink rather than painted, better proportions, a better head mold (in my opinion), and a more classics aesthetic.

Hey, sorry but that's not right.
I live in Tokyo and it costs an obscene amount to ship to America or Europe via EMS. Even air mail costs a bomb.
For a deluxe I've sold on Ebay it costs me $30-40 every time. This is due to the weak ass Dollar and the stupid strong Yen.

If you live in Japan/Asia as well and know a shipping company that can ship for cheaper than that then please let me know!! Seriously, it would make selling on Ebay even easier as I have to charge those kind of prices for shipping so I don't end up having to pay extra to cover the shipping cost out of my own pocket.

I imagine that toy companies will have deals with shipping companies to create discounts but by the looks of Robot Kingdom's shipping costs (which are much like my own) they don't.

I get packages delivered to me almost weekly by EMS. It's between $15-18 every time for a deluxe sized package. Usually between 1200-1800Y.

It's not $25-40...that or AmiAmi and HLJ is subsidizing shipping.

Ugh, that Valkyrie figure is a steaming pile of poop. I have the Nightbird version (paying more then $5 bucks for this is a rip) and she can't stand on her own. she falls apart just by me sneezing from across the room, and her arms just loosely dangle from her side. FAIL!! I don't even have her displayed anymore cause it's so worthless.

Delicate warrior looks so much better (botmode) but her alt mode leaves something to be desired. The price for this product could not push me farther away any faster.

What I went for instead was uuser's custom arcee head (tfw2005 forum) that goes with Animated arcee. He went for IDW acurracy not G1 arcee. But IMO is fantastic. You can buy this two ways, painted and unpainted, and she comes with two pistols. No where to store it, but I don't care about that. The painting on it is ok, but the sculpt is what brings the figure out. It's about the same price as the other Arcee head at BBTS, but I prefer the IDW more.

If you go to ebay>transformers>then type custom, you should see and auction for that and you can judge by yourself the pic. I won't post the link here because I'm not trying to give away free advertising, but piece should be one of the first ones you see. Cheaper, better then what's out.

Interesting. Well shipping via EMS from the Japan Post Office does cost $25-40 for deluxes/IGear delicate warrior size figures so they must be doing it through some delivery company which offers them a discount or something.
AmiAmi is a great online toy store. I always order my Transformers United/Masterpiece figures.G1 reissues from them or Amazon Japan and it arrives the next day after ordering or the the first day of release if it was a pre-order.

That is interesting...They probably do get a discount.

Man, if I was paying $25+ per Revoltech or Figma I got...it would be all SAL up in here.

It doesn't cost that much to ship from China, HK, or any of East Asia. Not even by EMS...

I ordered Arcee this morning...it was $18 for shipping. Although I noticed they charge that per fig, no discount for ordering more than one (so there was no benefit to see if a fellow local collector wanted to go in on an order.)

I have the Nightbird version (paying more then $5 bucks for this is a rip) and she can't stand on her own. she falls apart just by me sneezing from across the room, and her arms just loosely dangle from her side. FAIL!! I don't even have her displayed anymore cause it's so worthless.

I never even opened mine, I'm staring at it wrapped in cellophane right now at my desk. After I got it, I just slumped my shoulders and hoped someone would do a nicer one. I can't decide if I'm gonna try fixing any issues mine may have and keep it or sell it off. I just recently watched the G1 episode she's in for the first time since childhood and I can't decide now lol.

I think the bottom line here is that people on the fence should pick a side now, while the price is still sorta reasonable. BBTS's price is a little unreasonable for the figure, it's best to go through iGear. But as they sell more they'll charge more.

I don't mind the alt. mode myself. It could be better, but it still represents the figure nicely. If you wanna compare her alt. mode to Valk's, it's like comparing Robot Masters Seekers to the Classics Seekers. The RMs by far have the superior alt. mode, but the classics beat them out in every other way.

Hi again all, sorry I was offline most of the day (its late night here right now)

Like Requiem Prime, I bought Delicate Warrior off the back of Impossible Toy's abomination, so I was sold on the fact that it was waaay better than the Valkyrie - for what it is (hand made, limited production runs, etc), it is worth the money - in absence of a Hasbro / Takara version (which is the reason we are even on here discussing this!) - I'm a fan of the Animated figures, (and have Animated Arcee), but the kit for Animated Arcee's head just sticks the G1 head on an Animated figure (and, as TRU exclusives at the time, I paid about $50 - not including shipping, for Arcee and Animated Rodimus - which, last I saw on BBTS were $35 each - another example of high markup), which doesn't take away from how good Animated Arcee is, it just is not in the Classics aesthetic for me, tbh.

@Counterpunch, as I end up generally paying for shipping to Ireland anyway, from the States, Hong Kong, Japan and China - so I don't really count the shipping rates in (a topic I noticed has popped up on here time and again) - getting most stuff, I've found a general rule of thumb - most shipping, while more expensive, avoids 21% + €6.00 (about $9) tax on import.

Robotkingdom, for example, ship from Hong Kong at quite a high rate (EMS), but will arrive within 5-6 working days from ship, without 21% on top. Well worth the extra money, especially if you order multiple items.

The 2 items I have got so far from iGear are the Delicate Warrior, shipped from China, which didn't get charged duty, but took weeks to arrive, and the SG Evil Leader copy - which was shipped from Hong Kong, but shipped at a lower rate than Robotkingdoms, but which: a) took longer to get here, and b) got charged duties.

Having got items from eBay sellers in the States Hong Kong and Japan, the shipping rates for reliable, express shipping are roughly the same - HIGH! I'm not surprised you are getting charged daft prices for EMS on a Deluxe size item at a time, I just try to combine shipping by buying 3 or 4 hard-to-find-ish Deluxes at a time, or 2 Deluxes and a Voyager, and so on.

(This, incidentally, is a win for BBTS, their Pile O Loot feature is the main reason I use them, as well as getting most of my collectable items at reasonable-ish prices, without having to trawl eBay for what I can't get at the local stores too much anymore) - however, their shipping is cheap, extremely trackable, but in the 4 or 5 loads I have got from them, I've had to pay the tax on each time - but I don't really mind, as it is in bulk.

It depends entirely on the shipping your seller provides, and what they actually pay for the shipping itself - if they charge less, you end up paying for it down the line, as well as taking ages to get here. If you pay higher, you get it relatively quick.

Using USPS's general shipping rates for 4 Deluxes as a guide:

Priority International Mail (my favoured rate - quick and traceable) $25 - $35-ish.

Registered International Mail - $15 - $25, only trackable sometimes, takes 3 - 4 weeks from ship

International Mail (most sellers don't offer this, as PayPal insist on reasonable shipping times within their claiming period) $10 - $15, non-airmail, 1-3 months arrival time.

Point is, I end up paying for the shipping one way or another, and have no access to store exclusives (as the stores are not in my country), just Wave 1 and 2 (sometimes) on all collectibles.

Don't get me wrong, but I've just started getting more Takara than Hasbros since I got Takara Animated Rodimus - better than the Hasbro, weird paint and all (for the ones I REALLY want) as they generally cost me the same, either way - I have some Hasbro RTS in my PoL at BBTS, but I've also prepaid for some Takara United at Robotkingdom (cheaper than BBTS, as it's an import item for them, too) - Kup, Wreck-Gar, Cybertron Soundwave - we all use different methods to pad our collections, but shipping said stuff generally costs.

Incidentally, I've learned my lesson on ROTF (I have Hasbro Leader Prime and Jetfire, AND ended up getting the Asian Exclusive Buster Prime and Jetfire 2 pack, as they were just about worth paying extra for)-

As for DOTM - I'm gonna be hanging back for the bigger figs (good to hear Takara are gonna be doing Leader Ironhide and Sentinel Prime, I want good painted Leaders!) I've recently got the "Masterpiece" Takara Battle-Ops Bumblebee, and its way better than the vanilla Battle-Ops Bumblebees hogging shelves at my local toy stores - I can also skip that chunky Leader DOTM Bumblebee that has appeared on the web...

Oh, and I'm fully aware that China want their Wall O' Text back!! :KREMZEEK:

I could definitely afford this, little problem. Thing is, I can't justify the price for the size. Or quality, either. No. Way. This is CD territory, folks.
