The problem with DOTM Deluxes & Voyagers is that they are too small compared to their ROTF counterparts.
They don't fit with the rest of the movie collection. As a consequence I would be forced to buy all DOTM molds, or buy none (except for the new characters). It seems I will end-up buying none of the repeated characters and that's sad
After the quality improvements from TF Movie toys to ROTF toys, I really had great hopes for the DOTM toy-line.
Until now, only the Leaders (excluding BB) matched my expectations. But still, this toy-line will be really crappy if no Leader Decepticon is released ...
I'm very glad I bought Battle-Blades BB instead of waiting for any new DOTM dwarf-BB mold !

I completely agree. My wallet hates him/her.

What he said!
I'm more than willing to re-buy characters to get the "definitive" versions. That's how I've ended up with a retarded number of movie Bumblebees, but each has been an improvement on the last. I like Battle Blades, but the new versions of BB seem to be yet another improvement ... except for the size.
In the end it is my wallet that ends up winning, because I won't be spending nearly as much on this line. I will likely skip a lot of characters, even new ones, because they don't "fit" with with the collection into which I have already invested a lot of time and cash.

GREAT SCOTT! Nitro 'Bee is looking pretty good in these pictures. His MechTech weapon doesn't look to bad either. I might have to get two (one to keep regular and one to paint silver).
Barricade looks pretty good as well. Might have to add him to the wish list.

Nitro Bee looks really cool, but I think I'll wait and see if it gets a decent repaint. Once again, no need for another Bumblebee... It is really shocking how small the new deluxes are though. For the same price point too.
Barricade, bleugh.

Once again, that's the sad thing with the DOTM line IMO. Great molds without doubt. Nitro BB looks really cool. Barricade looks like a miniature of the HA version, good improvement compared to the previous deluxe. Then I try to imagine my collection shelf: how can BB and Barricade be as tall as Skids & Mudflap ? Simply unacceptable ...

kirbenvost wrote:I was gonna say, "They finally got a Leader Bee right!" but then I remembered the gun-arm. And all that vehicle mode junk would be a whole lot cooler if it integrated into the figure. Oh well, I have no need for a leader Bee anyway.
I also pointed that issue in another topic. With so much weaponry in his back-pack, the cannon-arm is completely redundant. That's a really bad design choice ...

How much d'ya wanna bet someone's gonna buy 2, hack the hand arm off on of 'em, hack the cannon arm off the other, then stick the hand arm on? People did that with Human Alliance bumblebee, and it seemed to work fine.

Either way he looks way more balanced than the one from the first movie. Have to see BB in the stores. I only have a few compared to most of you guys (3) but not really looking at getting any more. Too many other cool characters out there.
