Why does Bumblebee have a basketball hoop under his cannon ??? Im trying to figure out it's use. Maybe since the hoop is turned sideways, it can be used to play the ancient Mayan ball game where the losing team is sacrificed to the gods. Any other ideas ???

There was a picture recently without the ring so maybe it's removable and only there so you can try it through the box.

Why is this thing $60? It looks like it's HA size.

When I was scrolling down, for a second there I thought it said "Funeral Friends" and I was like, huh, a zombie line? Then I read it and I was like "oh. Oh well."

As to the Transformers... enough with Bumblebee! Too many toys of him without significant variation. The market is just over saturated with Bumblebees of this design aesthetic.

I shall dub this one "Pull My Finger Bumblebee"

I'd imagine it triggers some kind of gimmick. Hopefully one like this:

Because that would be hilarious.

Personally, I strongly doubt it to be HA sized. Where the standard transforming line is concerned, Ultra class is the usual minimum size class where Hasbro bothers to incorporate electronics. When Hasbro downsized several Cybertron line ultra-class molds (Leo Prime, Vector Prime) into voyager-classes in the universe 2.0 line, they gutted out the electronics. Would have exceeded the voyager budget with the soundboxes kept in, see :-B

So, yeah; I'd say he's ultra at the very minimum, or leader more likely. Or given that infernal price, supreme

Why do we have to get 18 kinds of stupid over that ring?

Obviously it's a package tool so that the gimmick can be displayed on the shelf. Once, opened, the ring is discarded.

Sheesh.

If it is the same size as a human alliance figure...
For example,do you think it would be possible to take battle ops B's legs and put them on to Ha B?

If they were of the same size, I'd still doubt it could be pulled off successfully. You'll have to do something with those rubbery black pistons on BOBB's legs for starters. Also, transforming a HABB with BOBB legs into the alt-mode is 100% impossible, the two leg designs are too far apart in similarity to have a matching transformation (I see BOBB's nameplate twisted and folded right next to his left foot) and the BOBB legs have no way to connect to the HABB footsteps located right underneath the closed doors short of working wonders with a cutting knife.

I think I'd be willing to bet my collection that they won't be the same size anyhow. I fully expect this to be larger, most likely comparable in size to a leader...though betting my collection only goes as far as it not being the same size as HABB.

That was what I said earlier myself - I'm expecting BOBB to be ultra at the very least, there's no way Hasbro would stuff electronics into something smaller than that. BOBB's definitely not going to be HA-sized :-?

edit: scratch ultra, there's no way something from that size class would be sold for that price. Leader, definitely.

(Approximate Retail Value: $99.99; Ages: 5 & up; Available: August 1, 2010)
In space, size does matter, and Hasbro certainly kept that in mind when creating its all-new, highly detailed STAR WARS AT-AT. The AT-AT (All Terrain Armored Transport) played a significant role in the Empire’s military assault in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, and it will play an equally important role in every fan’s toy collection this year! Measuring more than 24 inches tall, nearly 28 inches long, and 12 inches wide, this colossal vehicle holds up to 20 STAR WARS figures - 6 of which can fit in its head alone! - and includes so many play and electronic features true to its on-screen counterpart that it’s hard to believe! From the zip-line in its body and articulated legs for superb poseability, to its LED lights and authentic movie sounds and phrases, this is the must-have addition for STAR WARS fans of all ages. Includes a 3 ¾ inch AT-AT driver action figure and a pop-out speeder bike.

If Hasbro can build this then they can build Fortress Maximus. Look at the features of this thing, 24in tall 28in long and 12in wide. They also glorify all the play and electronic features. It's the same height as Maximus. I would like to know what the drop test on the AT-AT is. Once again I'm getting mad at Hasbro.

Why is this thing $60? It looks like it's HA size.

I hope you're right about the ring.

As for the size, it looks larger than HA size. I'm guessing this is supposed to be more in line with the Masterpiece figures, thus the $59.99 MSRP (same as the recent MP Skywarp). However, I think they're crazy if they think people will pay $60 for a bigger BB.

One word.....

Pass

The new Beyblade sounds cool sorta, I used to love those.....*sigh* why would they make a "masterpiece" Bumblebee? They know everyone wants a better Blackout.....
Considering BB sells mostly to little kids, and this is way too expensive I doubt it will sell well.

I had to sleep on it but I finally figured out what the ring is for....

Its a cigar holder !!!

Put this bad boy on your office desktop and let him hold your cigar when you need to answer the phone,go to the file cabinet etc...
