Hasbro Answers Questions About War for Cybertron: Siege on Instagram: Titans, Decepticons, and More!

Since early this morning, Hasbro has been taking questions on their official Instagram page about the upcoming Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege toyline. And a few of those questions are now up with accompanying answers, on Hasbro's Instagram story! Only a few questions have been answered so far, and it's unknown how many more will yet be answered, but even in the ones currently released there are some answers worth sharing.

The first and biggest (get it?) answer Hasbro released is on the subject of a Titan class figure being released in the Siege toyline. While an entirely direct answer wasn't quite given, it seems that a Titan is effectively confirmed for the line!

Another question asked about the increased sculpted detail in the line (as most noticeably seen on Chromia). Hasbro's answer confirms that the greater detail is an intentional choice, and claims it helps to "enhance [the] Cybertronian mode" of characters.

In response to a question on the whereabouts of the Decepticons, Hasbro answered (unnecessarily indirectly) that Decepticons would be revealed in the future so stay tuned.

Hasbro also stated, replying to a question of if the toys would be available on Amazon, that the line "will be available at all major retailers and online in 2019!"

Those are all the (actual) questions answered so far - as of this time Hasbro is still taking questions, so you can submit your own questions (and check for more answers) on their Instagram story here! As for these code-breaking shenanigans, if they are hinting at a purely G1 Omega, that will be another Titan I'll be skipping on. If it involves/takes cues from the Animated or Energon designs though...

That's pretty much my feelings too. Basically anything other than a straight G1 Omega Supreme, I will be quite on board for! But if it's purely G1 (especially if it partsforms into a regular rocket and a tank on train tracks), I won't be all too thrilled, personally.

I'm hoping they can somehow get him to go from a spaceship mode based on Animated or WFC to a base mode a la G1, to a nice robot mode.

Yeah Animated Ark-Omega would be the perfect fit.... but at the same time, if they're gonna go all in with micro masters... hi G1 base mode could be fun. In a way, I'm hoping the micro masters give the Titan Returns Leaders some love (like the Soundwave reissue coming up- which I think had the best base mode of the bunch).

Another thought that crossed my mind with the RiD inspired Ultra Magnus, what if they give u RiD colored Fort Max (I believe he was a different color from Brave and standard max?)

There are apparently 4 posters total that have hidden messages. I was initially only aware of SIEGE. Trying to find out from one of my buddies if the Bumblebee Movie poster given away last weekend also has a hidden message on it.

Gosh... anyone else have any voyager/leader inserts? I honestly.... hadn't thought of going over them.... just sorta saw the Prime backsplash and moved on.

Correction to this message. There were apparently 4 SIEGE posters handed out at SDCC last weekend. The Autobot group shot with Optimus, Chromia, Red Alert, Prowl, etc. and a solo Optimus Prime SIEGE poster. I do not know if the other two posters were actually handed out ... don't see them on eBay, which seems odd.

i acually want a g1 inspired titan omega supreme, dont get me wrong the energon version was alright but not the real deal, it needs to be a rocket base and for this trilogy and its the start of the great war we need to have the guardians as they should be especially Omega Supreme ;)^

Was there any confirmation if Ultra Magnus' armor could be used as weaponizer chunks? Or if it might have a base configuration with Cog integration?

Sorry to not pick but this isn't the beginning of the great war as it's already been described as the last day on cybertron. Basically the war has already been raging and the decepticons are trying for a final push. I certainly believe the next toy lines will see them off world and possible earth...though that's just conjecture till this time next year! :-P

Pretty weird move to name your trilogy after a war that's already ending. Unless we get a 'prequel' line?

Which is why it makes more sense for WFC2.0 to be set post POTP rather than Pre-CW

I agree it would make sense but that's not what we got unfortunately. Though to be fair I don't think it's set pre prime wars Trilogy either. It is what it is, Another g1 inspired alternative Universe...again.

But a shared Beast line, with beasts from G1 and BW, would keep everyone happy.

Beast Wars fans only need 11 figures to finish off their Season 1 Generations collections. 11 figures out of a line of 45 figures leaves a lot of room for beasts from other lines.

You know what I would like? A completely new combiner (or a few), we got the classics yes and we still need a couple more (though only seacons left for the traditional scramble city style) but I want brand new characters, brand new getsalts. Can't keep living off the coatails of G1 forever

I mean it will never happen but I would love if lines had a couple (Ideally 3-4) of brand new filler characters that could be used as cannon fodder in collections. (Blank slates if you will that future media can develop)

I'm thinking of Combiner Wars's Alpha Bravo (Best character ever), Offroad, Rook and Studio Series Shadow Raider as well as past lines like Cybertron where we got new guys like Hardtop (a very underrated character and toy in my opinion) and Brushguard or all of those minicons, hell some of the movie toy line originals like Breacher and Breakaway (One of my fave Autobots ever and my fave movie design in general although the toy doesn't really do the design justice)

In the way I'm thinking the toy lines would still be mostly familiar characters while also slowly expanding and making new characters.

With IDW winding down the existing continuity ect and with HB saying this is about the start of things - could it just simply be that this line, whilst part of "Generations" has absolutely no connection to PotP, Combiner Wars ect at all?

For all we know, IDW might be doing a new #1 that starts with Siege for a new continuity.

I’d love to see some new takes on combiners in general. Get creative with the combination methods especially if they’re leaning parts forming with some weaponizers. Something like the O.G. Megazord comes to mind; not that they had robot modes.... but still

Indeed they do, something I always put down as a fun tribute to symmetrical docking from the brave franchise...see King Of Braves GaoGaiGar's Choryujin.

Yesterday was fun, wasn't it Seibertronians? All that intrigue and deciphering of hidden messages. Well, fellow code-crackers, I have good news! Thanks to a friend of the Bossbot, we have images of the second War For Cybertron: Siege poster with the hidden message revealed via a blacklight!

That's right, it seems that all of the posters handed out by Hasbro during San Diego Comic Con have hidden messages on them, just waiting to be found and read by fans. It is believed there were four different posters handed out but we've only received images of the first two so far. This poster, featuring Optimus Prime all on his lonesome, carries a hidden message in Cybertronian just like the full-cast poster of yesterday's news.

When translated, it reveals another short message, which seems as if it may be intended to come before the other one found previously. Together, the two short sentences form a somewhat more dramatic statement (though its meaning seems no more clear).

Check out the images below, and get cracking! Sadly this message is not as tough to decrypt as the last one, but should still be fun - I await your puzzling on the Energon Pub Forums, though be careful not to post too much information (even inside spoiler tags!) for the first while, so as not to spoil the fun for others. Sadly not this time.

I get the feeling we were "meant" to find and translate this one first - it's simpler, and it seems most sensible placed in front of the other message. Ah, but so the cookie crumbles I suppose.

Both of these would be great. Animated Safeguard is a figure I have been keeping my eye on to eventually get, since we never get that type of combiner. And Road Caesar is a figure I have been asking for along with Star Saber.
