BB looks allright, but I actually like the version I already have better. The white lines help the overall look for me.
Grimlock is sorta tempting tho. Even though there doesn't look to be signifigant paint differences the shoulder clips might be assembled correctly this time.

Not impressed with BB at all and I'm not as wild about Grimmy as others seem to be, so I'll pass on both of those.
I just pre-ordered Prime, Mirage, Megs, and Screamer from CapturedPrey.com. I'm curious to see what the others look like.

Yeah, I'm kinda hoping for T-cracker myself.Valandar wrote:Megatron is probably the only one I'd get, with the possible exception being if they release a Thundercracker.
& before anybody says anything about the legal problems with Botcon Thundercracker....all I have to say is Cybertron Excellion(for those of you that don't know, Takara made an exclusive variation of Galaxy Force Excellion aka Cybertron Hot Shot that was repainted to look like G1 Hot Rod. Since Hasbro couldn't legally release it to drooling fans in the western world, they made one with a varied paint job that still gave fans what they wanted. It would seem possible that if Tomy/Tak wanted to, they could do the same.)

What we really need is a "Premium" series Classic Megatron in metallic silver finish.

Truth be told, I think a lot of people are forgetting the fact that these aren’t meant to be big improvements,
they are meant to make it easy for Japanese people to get the figures.

50/50 red and silver.Personal opinion.
His import price is more than I am willing to pay for this considering I paid 11 dollars +shipping for the Hasbro version.
I look forward to seeing Megatron as well.
As for the people that speculate that all the Classics
won't be released(minus Botcon). HAHA.. When these were first released these are the ones that Hasbro put out first. I have
nothing but faith that tells me Takara won't miss the boat when it comes to releasing molds I'm sure they can have easy enough access to.

*Get them* as in physically bring it to them, overcoming legal problems & such, putting them in stores, or *Get them* as in understand them, as in, "Oh, I get it, they're remakes of G1 figures"???Nekoman wrote:NuclearConvoy wrote:Call me blind, but as far as these three are concerned, I don't really see a HUGE improvement.

Get them as in little Japanese guy goes to his local Lawson for a beer looks and “oh wow, those are those robots I bought when I was a kid.” goes home and enjoys a cold one while reliving the most precious moments of his childhood with Grimlock.

When I look at this figure, I just think semi sheer gray.

Nah, I'm just used to Takara's releases, overall, having better paint apps, far better, than the domestic release versions. However, I'm surprised to say that, with regards to what we've seen so far, Hasbro's versions were pretty excellent and the Japanese detailing upgrades aren't as massively more impressive as, say, GF Vector Prime vs. Cyb Vector Prime.
I never expect Takara to outright, purposely "try" to improve a figure, they just end up doing it with their higher amount of paint applications etc.
I do, however, Expect Megatron to be in more G1 reminiscent colours, due to safety regulations being drastically different between Japan and, well, almost everywhere else.

Ok, so the second. At that I have to ask.....what's not to get about the classics & their slightly different colorschemes? Just about every one I saw was immediately recognisable as the intended updated character...(I say just about because I always have trouble keeping the coneheads' names straight)Nekoman wrote:Get them as in little Japanese guy goes to his local Lawson for a beer looks and “oh wow, those are those robots I bought when I was a kid.” goes home and enjoys a cold one while reliving the most precious moments of his childhood with Grimlock.
