That looks a LOT like Lockdown. I know...same mold and all, but I expected a radically different head.

We know Motormaster is next, betcha it's Voyager Prime.

Also, betcha we get a Toxitron redeco out of that.

Feeling luke warm again...

If it was black like its suppose to be then it would be good but its not so its crap. My prediction on the mold was right at least. This is defiantly a botcon set i dont care for. So far they've used all good molds but compared to the original figures them selves these suck.

I have to say, I don't like this at all.

Wildrider's alt mode is quite appropriate, but this head sculpt just does not do the job.

For the first thing, it looks like Lockdown or at least it isn't any different than Lockdown. For another thing, shouldn't that pinkish-purple be out and out red?

I betcha there's something cute in the comic where Wildrider takes the engine/EMP off of Ironfist or the Autotroopers or something...

;)

I wouldn't say it is crap with no black. But, yes, a darker shade would have looked better.

They better issue sunglasses with this set because some of these color combinations are almost offensively loud. IF there is actually a combined mode for this set, I fear that it will look like a technicolor train-wreck.

Also, I find it rather amusing that after everyone guessed at Wreck-Gar for Motormaster on the earlier pages, I go and pose a qauestion about the set involving Voyager Prime 3 pages back and now folks are guessing Voyager Prime. The worst part of it is that NOBODY bothered to answer my question. #-o Meh, doesn't matter anyways. I won't be going to BotCon and after seeing this most recent reveal, I don't hold much hope for this set turning out well anyways.

This set is meh to me. When I saw the first two I was somewhat excited, but after "Dragqueenstrip" or whatever its suppose to be and now this, this is officially a pass for me. I'm still iffy on whether I even want to go to the Con this year, but this set sure isn't helping win me over.

Holy hell that looks brilliant! XD If there'd been this in Animated I might have liked the show (looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong shot of that)! Makes me wish I could get the Animated Stunticons set without the insanely stupid price tag.

I happen to really like the head, it has personality. G1 Wildrider was a mad driver in every sense of the word, and that's reflected in that maniacal nuggin of Animated Wildrider. Really reminds me of Blitzwing's crazy head.

Right? Look, I love any nod to G1, but this "Wildrider" is more like a Passion Fruit Lockdown, than a Wildrider.

It's a cool set, but it's not really capturing the magic of the Stunticons. It feels more like they are just trying to make the set be something that it isn't.

Wildrider isn't all that special. I even pulled out my Lockdown figure just so I could confirm a different head. That's how similar they looked. It wasn't until I actually stared at the thing that I realized it had a Blitzwing thing going on. Wildrider is more like Blitzwing's brother in Animated now.

I get the feeling that Motormaster is going to be the saving grace of this set. I'm hoping it uses the Voyager Prime mold so I cann start working on making the combiner upgrade pack.

Would anyone be interested if I were to make an accessory pack to get these figures to combine?

It's still up in the air as to whether or not I'll even be able to go to Botcon this year. The next few weeks will determine that. Finances are finally getting stable in my family so I might have some luck. If not, I'll hunt these down on ebay and get ready for 2012.

I like the crazy teeth and eyes and the head sculpt is quite different. It's the lack of a remolded neck that makes it so hard to tell with the spikes and all. I assumed that was getting remolded as well. It looks okay for a G1 color scheme in both modes and I'm happy to see we're getting the chainsaw and not the hook. Well, just Motormaster left to see and I'm back to "they're okay" mode. Hoping the last one wows me.

I hope the souvenir sets offer something of interest.

I like it, but I agree with the criticism that it still looks too much like Lockdown.

The head sculpt, while cool, is just too similar to Lockdown's. The colors are also too close to the original colors, and it makes it look a lot more like a redeco of the same character (a la Blazing Lockdown) than a different character.

Personally, I would rather have seen him used for Brakedown.
But I do think it still looks pretty cool.

I actually like the head, which looks nothing like Lockdown's head.

It's the body for me that makes it look too much like Lockdown. Changing the paint placement (particularly on the chest and thighs/hood), or better still, a new neck, would have probably done the trick.

Would have much preferred a darker grey and red rather than medium grey and pink too. They're fine Decepticon colours, just not Wildrider colours.

I like that they used the mould with the chainsaw though.

Never was into the animated line, thought it was too cartoony or childish, but this is very nice, but the face of this guy reminds of TrapJaw from MOTU era, just waiting for Skeletor to pop up.

If any of you future Botcon attendees are suddenly interested in buying an entire collection of Animated Transformers, let me know. I'm pretty close to listing my complete collection of Hasbro Leaders, Voyagers, Deluxes and Legends plus some activators (Cliffjumper, Dirge, etc.) for sale in B/S/T, and I thought that maybe someone here would want the whole thing for a good price as a lot.

Not that I don't LOVE Animated, I would just rather have the extra space at the moment than the toys.

I use a program called photo impact pro 13
I usually use it to make a blueprint for my customs, so I can flip between looks concepts and whatnot before I start cutting and painting

laso tool, color transform and brightness/contrast adjustments, again this is very quick and sloppy, like most my blueprints

also far as the garbage truck, it's not a very accurate garbage truck, if it didn't have the mandrel system it'd just be a cargo van

I am a little sad that CP won't be there this year. I still don't know if I'll be able to make it, but if I did he was one of the ones I was looking forward to seeing again.

Anyways, The more I look at the figures the more lackluster they become. There's no doubt that it's a cool set, but I just can't feel the Botcon magic coming from it.

I'm still wanting to know what the souvenir goodies are. I'm hoping for SG Galvatron. That will make my day.
