IDW is currently in talks to continue Transformers Animated in comics after the conclusion of the series.
The next Transformers Spotlight comic is Cliffjumper, followed by Metroplex in July, and then it will go on hiatus.
There will be four additional issues of All Hail Megatron called "Coda". Each issue will feature two short stories that will tie in with the overall story arc.
With regards to the new GI Joe movie, a question was asked about a possible movie-verse crossover to which the answer was: "Definitely not."

Well, The Spotlights have always run side-by-side with the main arcs and any minis going on. After AHM plans are for an ongoing title, and there are miniseries in the works from both Furman and McCarthy. I see the Spotlights as maybe a bit of an extra burden that, until things are settled with the ongoing and the minis, will be shuffled aside. Theyre not GONE, they're just being put on the side until they have a need for them again.

I guess Spotlights are not needed now, as they were originally used to flesh out characters and intertwined plots and stories to the main IDW story, since AHM simplified things, and the ongoing is likely to be more straightforward that the "-tion" books, I guess the Spotlights would be overkill.

Instead of filling in a piece of the arc Spotlights could be used as snapshots in time of a given character that delve deeper into who they are that may not have anything to do with what is going on with the main story but wont necessarily be out of continuity.

I can only dream further that the upcoming TF:A comics will serve as a bridge for the next TF:A series. Yeah, not season 4, series 2. In my dreams...
